I was a regular writer over Medium.com
My account was suspended. I have requested several times to reactivate my account. But their team is very rude.
Don't waste your time on such platforms who doesn't value you.

Medium contributes to the western censorship agenda. Any writings that contain opinions on topics such as Covid, Russia, Israel (among others) that doesn't conform to the running narrative will be removed. The Medium "Safety Team" may also suspend accounts depending on the perceived severity of these violations. If you are seeking a free speech platform to share your writings, I highly recommend Substack instead of Medium.
Tip for consumers:
It would have been helpful to know that Medium has a rigid social agenda and clear political leaning that makes certain writings not compatible with their ideology, and therefore not have wasted many hours loading writings to their website that could be censored and removed. If Medium would simply be honest and advertise their stance on topics such as Covid, Russia and Israel, people would not waste their valuable time. But I also understand why Medium can't publicly state these terms legally.

I've made several accounts on this site, every single one has been restricted or banned for reason relating to the suppression of free speech. My most recent account was banned for "promoting violence" as a result of a piece which had a total of zero references to any sort of violence, and rather than properly communicate the moderators decided to simply allow their AI audit program to override uncommon sense. This site is fine, as long as you don't attempt to discuss any subjects which might upset the delicate sensibilities of modern weak-willed feminists.

I was a paying customer of Medium.com. I paid a monthly fee and in return I could publish my articles and earn money from them.
Medium cancelled my account without giving any; specifics as to why, and seized my earnings of approximately $1,300. Again, they did not give any specifics regarding what comments and writing of mine violated their rules, and they did not cite any specific rules. They refuse to answer my emails.
I am a full-time, professional writer in New York City. I have published more than 7,000 articles on business, finance, politics, and religion,. I have NEVER seen editors do what Medium editors are doing. It is not only unprofessional, it may be illegal. Most certainly, consumer watchdog agencies have grounds to investigate Medium's secretive editorial practices and seizure of earnings.
I want the money I earned as a Medium writer. Their treatment of paying customers is shocking.
Tip for consumers:
Medium has NO transparency, and may close your account and seize your earnings without giving any specifics as to why. They make a vague reference to their guidelines, but do not tell you what actions of yours violated what specific guideline.

I used Medium's distribution service. I was a paid customer. Using that service, I published approximately 80 articles, which earned me $1,300. Medium suddenly claimed I violated their rules, without citing any specific instances. They seized all my earnings and closed my account. Again, I paid for their service and the right to earn money from my articles.

I think Medium is a lot more than just a blogging platform. It creates a community of carefully selected content. Right now, I'm following several communities on Medium, and use it myself for my self-development projects. Medium created an environment where writing becomes easy and natural.

Medium is closing accounts without warning and confiscating all monies earned. There are already numerous bad reviews, like one I just read on this platform. For all victims out there, share your story to warn others. There are many better platforms out there. We should boycott the bad ones.

I will start on a positive note- the articles are generally interesting and reflect broader that the standard "centrist"-biased pablum that's spooned out on the more famous "mainstream" sites.
My biggest issue is the inept mechanics of trying to comment on an article: when you go to comments you get a pop-up page that covers the original article. If you want to check something in the original article before you sound off about it, you really can't without loosing what you've been writing.
For a site that strictly limits free views (2 per month) and puffs itself on its relevance, it's rather shabby to slip articles into the daily recommendations that are actually months or even years out of date.

I see that there are lower reviews for Medium.com on other subjects, and I have to admit that I have only ever gone to medium.com for one purpose - to look for excellent resources on Computer Science and Software Engineering and Development.
The computer science resources on their news site are amazing. You can find everything from tutorials, to introductions to new technology, to new use cases for existing tech. I have used medium.com as a resource extensively for my computer science master's and have received no criticism from any professor on the validity/accuracy of the posts.

A series of racist rants, medium.com is an ill-meaning caricature of a platform for hate. Why is a platform purportedly by, for, and about African Americans entirely devoted to commentary about whiteness? Every article on the site reads like a Russian troll operation's caricature of black-splaining. As a platform for celebrating hatred and intolerance, it succeeds.

At first I really like Medium. I was following a specific company who posted their latest news on Medium. Those stories were actual official press releases from the company. Often there were really cool embedded videos. Easy to use and awesome pictures and videos.
But then I noticed something. I read a news story regarding the war in Ukraine. Interesting story but then I soon saw stories that were very one sided and slanted towards Ukraine. From reading all the stories you'd think Ukraine had beat the Russians ten times over. All you had to do was watch the traditional evening news and have an ounce of common sense and realize this was hyped content. It became very obvious when I started noticing ads from the authors complaining they were not getting paid fairly and then it clicked. Watch the Netflix documentary called "The Social Dilemma" and everything becomes clear.
From articles from wives crying about how they ruined there marriages by bringing in a third person for a threesome or going to an orgy (seriously, what did you think would happen), to a so called military expert discussing how the Chinese sent their top stealth fighter to the US to train with the USMC. All you had to do on this latter article was google Chinese J-20 in USA and you'll get reputable news sources give you the real scoop.
As a result of these examples and others, I have cancelled my membership. Total waste of money and more so my time. Watch the "Social Dilemma " before you spend another cent on the internet.
Tip for consumers:
Medium was sold as a legitimate news source. It is not! Don’t waste your money if you’re looking for unbiased factual reporting.

Medium news service, so I thought. It’s nothing more then any one of the street creating stories so you click on out so there can get paid. This is what’s wrong with the internet!!

The contributors/writers of Medium have an appalling way of using the English language. It's tantamount to scraping fingernails down a chalkboard. The opinions of the writers are shoved down the reader's throats, as opposed to just being an expressed opinion. This makes Medium's writers a sham. They need to learn how to write an opinion piece, not just spew anger, vitriol, and loose prepositions all around. Every time I'd read one of Mediums "articles" I'd start with an open mind, looking to be educated perhaps. But no, their contributors bring so much angst, anger and "you must see/have my opinion!" that I would come away thinking "Well, there's another wasted 10 minute read."
Ergo, my partner and I have discontinued the Medium feed, never to be assaulted again. Take your vitriol somewhere else, Medium!
Oh, and remember this, every story/opinion has three sides. Yours, mine, and what really happened. If you don't understand that concept, you have no understanding of debate, law, and sharing ideas in a positive manner.

That's truly an awesome forum simply in account of these reasons: First, personally,i suppose that interface is really nice and i do enjoy writing here my stories. Second, it's EXTREMELY SPLENDID that Medium has its own voiceover function with a really wide variety of different languages. And third,it can read the articles by itself (though, it's a part of the previous point but that's also an advantage so I've decided to include it as well.)

Great platform with an attractive and easy-to-use interface. Medium pays a decent amount per view compared with similar platforms and is a friendly place for writers to share their work.

This app called Make Money! From medium.com is a complete fraud. I've spent the last month completing tasks with my very little extra time. And that is what was wasted, my time. I collected enough points from there system in which they owe me around $100. I've requested payouts three different times where I had reached completion of tasks totaling more than the required amount to withdraw and haven't seen a dime in my PayPal acct. They have responded only only once to my numerous emails asked about the eta of the money to my PayPal acct. The emailed asked me to answer these series of questions verifying my identity, which I did, then they followed with everything checks out and wrote I should be expecting my payout in the next day or two. It's been three weeks and still no money. I've sent 7 different emails since then with no response. There is only one thing against us as human beings in life. TIME. This app completely wasted my time and I'm sure they will waste yours too. When you see the make money app don't let it waste your time. Just move on.

Sexist. Racist. Propaganda. Anyone can write an article. Even a monkey. The monkey could do a better job. Only a few decent writers that don't spread hate like the other 98% of writers.

Time will tell that the introduction of the paywall on Medium has been one of the worst decisions in publishing history. I think that Stripe is still the only, and therefore limited payment option for writers.
The self-proclaimed most popular publications on Medium have too many Divas as editors for my taste. I conducted a test recently. My article was rejected by one of these publications on Medium. I deleted it and submitted it as an answer on Quora. I got 120K views in two months!
So, my word of advice, don't bother with Medium publications. Invest your time and creativity in submitting your writing pieces to Quora Spaces. Medium publications like to brag about the number of followers. Well, I launched a space on Quora also as an experiment. I have more than 30K followers.
Truth to be told, your Medium articles can and will be positioned better on Google. I'm not an SEO expert, but this is a fact. However, when it comes to the number of views and long-term exposure, Medium is useless.

I came across an article on medium.com named The Dark Side Of Modeling written by Evangeline and I was very disappointed. The reason why I was disappointed is because The writer dramatized her experience in modeling and was mostly bias/ less factual. In fact her modeling experiences sound very unrealistic. The writer stated that so many girls (the writer should provide a more accurate amount if they do not know the accurate amount then they should stick with the word some) are desperate to be models (This is BIAS) not a lot of girls are desperate to be models after knowing the fact that models get sexually harassed/abused and are seen as sexual objects (also known as sexy) not pretty. The article sounded like the writer just made up her modeling experience and tried to make it convincing with the help of pictures/ some facts. The writer was being very subjective and not sticking to facts consistently throughout the whole article. The writer does have the freedom to write what they like but they need to be conscious about what they are writing and how that will affect their readers. What the writer actual wrote in the article is not matching/consistent with the articles title. The writer also needs to be aware that if they are going to be bias then they need to write Opinion next to the articles title. Lastly, the writer needs to stay on topic not off topic according to the articles title. The articles title says The Dark Side of Modeling not What I think the Dark Side of Modeling is based off of my experiences in the Modeling industry. The article should've been written out from an objective perspective not subjective. The writer should keep the article in 3rd person instead of 1st person as well. This article does have some facts (which I appreciate the writer including) but still has a lot of biases in it as well which I did not like at all; I was expecting the article to be more fact based.
Tip for consumers:
Please do not use Medium.com because it is filled with biases and less factual articles.
