I find that people take the time to vent about bad experiences rather than take the time to write reviews for good experiences. If things are working, why scour the internet for reviews. Every kiddo/parent will have a different experience with Connections Academy. Like any school program, it's not going to be right for everyone, not everyone will like a teacher, or administration or class... It's a rigorous school, not a homeschool program with lots of flexibility and curriculum that can be changed. It's working for my 7th grader, but it is hard and we wouldn't be enrolled if he didn't have me to sit by him 80% of the time. Otherwise he's getting an excellent education in Oregon and we love the teachers.

Yes these reviews of how bad this place is is so accurate. The teachers do not respond to the parents or students. I take so many calls from parents who need to contact the director of schools or Connections Academy Corporate because the teachers don't respond and the principals do not respond to the parents about how bad the teachers are. It seems that Connections Academy is in it for the public dollars.

In terms of how bad this school system, yes! To parents, it may seem fine, but to the students, it's an absolute nightmare. I'm a student, and within the span of just a few months, I have already had multiple mental breakdowns just from school. If it weren't for the pandemic, I would have stayed in public school, and I would be doing far better than I am in Connections.

Yes, but they were most likely by people who thought that they could half-"tail" school because it's online. You need to put in just as much, if not more, work into this school as you would regular school. If you or your child are not self-disciplined, then I highly suggest skipping this school and any other online school you might look into.

7th as well and it's miserable for me, I am an all a student still am and it's an overload of work, in 30 lessons behind and I still do abou 6-8 hrs a day
