There's no set cost to films on the site. The most expensive titles are generally the 4K BluRay which generally aren't any more expensive than $35

If you don't like the featured title for that month, you can buy any other movie on the site at full price and it will count toward your commitment status. The general rule of thumb is that as long as it doesn't say "Super Saver" or anything like that by the movie's listing, it will count toward your commitment.
