I have AdGuard Subscription that I pay should i pay for Ghostery product or just use AdGuard is good enough

Does Ghostery install apps on it's own and on the sly to a person's phone without permission? I've downloaded dubious ad blocker apps in the past that
what happened to my little ghost in the taskbar? I still see what is tracking and whether it is blocked, but can no longer edit the choices.
