I have tried many penpal sites - I won't name them as I do not want to spread bad news. Let me tell you this one is the best!

There are heaps of other sites like Global Penfriends. I can't say if they are better or worse as i have not tried them all. I can say that Global Penfriends is the best for me. You can join most penpal sites for free and if you want more access you have to pay for it.

I have only used Global Penfriends as a free member as well, but I would like to find a different site because I don't have a lot of access as a free member. I greatly dislike how you have to wait 12 HOURS before you can message a different member. Doesn't seem very useful to me, and what even is the purpose of making people wait that long?!?

I have only used Global Penfriends as a free member - so not sure you will find a cheaper club.
