Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.

I think the only way is to go through Houzz, but good luck getting through to them. I had such a bad experience with Houzz that I will never use them again.

Contact the Better Business Bureau. They are designed to help customers with complaints. And they sanction companies that aren't following expected business practices https://www.bbb.org/

James D. Is correct. A contractor also defrauded me & they refuse to post my legitimate negative review. I suspect contractors with subscriptions can buy their way out of trouble. Class action suit anyone?

I also unknowingly hired a disreputable contractor who advertised on Houzz and they did not publish my negative review. I wish I had seen these warnings beforehand. It is a shame that the company has been doing this for so many years.

DO NOT HIRE CHRIS TURNER OF BOOMER IDEAS PAINTING in Broken Arrow! At his request I paid him 25% ($486.00) as a down payment. Before any work had been done, he then decided he could not complete the project as agreed and said he would definitely return my $486. Now he will not return my calls or return my money. After additional research I found where he's done the same to others... not performed work and kept their deposit money. Obviously, Mr. Turner is scamming customers! Please pass this along so others are not SCAMMED by him!

Houzz covers for their despicable vendors who post arbitrary pictures of items for sale knowing these pictures do not correctly represent color/shape, etc. These vendors then delay refunds or exchanges by sending back reply emails with erroneous questions to the customer. Although Houzz claims to assist with reconciling return problems they are really there to protect the deceitful business practices of these vendors. Do not buy from Houzz and save yourself the aggravation and money!
