I tend to believe perhaps it's WFN (World Financial Network) which actually has changed it's name to Comenity Bank in recent years.
Either way however their credit lines don't appear to be an open standing set of credit availability.
In other words one month you may be given $1k or more in credit line, while the next month or so you will get a catalog with a lower amount.
This to me appears that they do soft pulls (last 4 digits of your social security number) prior to each catalog publication.
They adjust your credit line based on ho much credit your using across all of your credit lines.
Which is business smarts.
