on 4/5/15The quality is about 80% rubbish (based on 10 purchases and only keeping 2 items). Hardly any of the dresses are lined and they're made with very cheap fabric, they're also way more expensive than they used to be but the quality hasn't improved. The stitching is usually uneven and the cloth cuts are terrible. You have to pay to return things, and from Australia it often costs more in postage to return something than the item itself, so I wouldn't bother.
No. The mannequins or models do not reflect the actual look of the clothing on a real person. The materials are very cheap looking and feeling, after 7 orders. I really tried different items hoping I'd find something worth keeping. Nothing was worth the time much less the money. My time and money are better spent on many other sites.
I was at a concert and kept passing a girl in a great dress, I asked if she would mind telling me where she got it, and she happily said ModCloth. I ordered the same dress the next day and was thrilled. Good material, excellent workmanship, fit was perfect, and I get loads of compliments when I wear it. I have nothing bad to say about them and believe me I am picky!
No, they are not designer quality but you certainly get a bang for your buck. Let us know what you think when you receive your order. Cheers.
I have ordered a lot from Modcloth and they look even better than in the pictures. Me and my three grown girls LOVE Modcloth dresses! The quality of the dresses, the cloth and workmanship is excellent. Some of the 100% cotton dresses are a thin cloth and wrinkle easy, but sometimes you want a thin, cool cloth for certain styles and summer dresses.
