on 6/24/19Hi Patricia,
We are sorry to hear that you are still experiencing smell issues with your water. Would you be willing to elaborate on which smells you are experiencing. One of the most common ones we come across is a presence of sulfur bacteria creating a rotten egg smell. The sulfur bacteria will feed on the citric acid and cause the sulfur smell. The resolution to this issue is to shock your well to kill any sulfur bacteria that may be residing in your water. If you give us a call at (877) 688-6426, any of our reps will be more than happy to assist you!
Yes, we have a well and put a little bleach in it from time to time. After installing the nuvo and changing the filter the first time I noticed a nasty slimy looking stuff in the filter and a little stink. Every time I've changed the filter the nasty slime is there and the stink. We also noticed a nasty slime in our drains. Not sure where it was coming from I bypassed the nuvo and cleaned the drains, that was the issue. Something in the nuvo is causing a slime in our drains. After having it bypassed for 3 weeks I decided to unhook the filter and leave it bypassed, when I opened the filter the stench was almost unbearable and slime and mold was everywhere inside. It's coming out ASAP. I will not recommend theis product to anyone. I have 3 new filters I ordered.
