Can a reservation be canceled right away ?

No, they delayed a month to finally get a refund and they charged a fee.

You cannot cancel at all. I called within 5 minutes of making the reservation

No - You Can NOT Cancel - They aren't the Hotel you think you booked with. They Pose as the Hotel and then They STEAL YOUR MONEY - And Even More.

It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
