I was about to switch from FIOS to Spectrum, but after reading all the reviews I don't think I will. I have never seen so many poor reviews.

You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
