They might have a couple items the computer picks to choose from like we do when we preview, but they do not go and pick items. So if you request color and specific fabrics (no polyester) but the computer comes back with neutrals and a polyester jacket, that's what they will choose from.
No. The stylist will then choose items for you and these will be sent to you without you being able to preview them "Surprise!". You can send them back for free and then go to your account within stitchfix and mark each item you received as Returned and you will not be charged except for the $20 styling fee. Of course, it is frustrating when they charge you $20 time and time again for clothes that you never had the chance to preview.
