Is Threadup a scam or a legit company?

It may be "legit" but they have terrible business practices towards sellers. They will basically TAKE what you send in an not give you any credit for it, nor give you a good reason why it was not deemed "acceptable."
They basically took a nearly new Longchamp purse (used ONCE-not my style) and tried saying it wasn't acceptable. Meanwhile, they have like 6 of them for sale on their site for $60.

Threadup is definitely legit. I've seen many of their commercial advertising. I would and have recommended this site regardless or my personal issues with them,

In my eyes it's a scam. They make huge money with generous donations, making you think that you "sell" your clothes. Receiving $0.75 for a new item which was around $40, I don't call "selling". They probably would say now that the item wasn't clean or in good conditions, but that's an "old excuse", no one is buying anymore these says. Too bad, that they don't pay fairly fir their donations. The business idea is great, but I would rather donate my clothes to someone in need instead.
