Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Uber staff and previous consumers.
I have painfully discovered another Uber fraud, which surprises me a great deal. You can Take a trip on Uber with the pickup and destination defined, and in our case this trip is frequently taken iwith Uber in about 25 minutes and $25. But, if the driver doesn't show the trip completed, the continued time and travel (possibly for Lyft?) just stacks up, In total they put $479 on my card for over 20 hours and 50 miles. Our bad for not catching the charge until the credit card bill arrived. I went right to Uber, but in a series of emails questioning why the account is in my girlfriends name and the card in my name, they created all all sorts of complexities asking question after question in multiple emails rather than issue a credit. I had to turn it over to my credit card company.
Sorry I have no idea. Not working for uber. --------------------------------------------
Price can be much higher than a REAL taxi, depends on the greed of the driver. If the driver thinks he can get more than the app price he will cancel your ride and wait for the price to go up, maybe several 'cancels' later the price goes up 35 to 40% more than what the app originally quoted. A very shady pricing scheme that can easily exceed the price of a dependable regular TAXI. I speak from real experience.
No but they rob you blind in other fees and not paying bonuses by things like not sharing the same time clocks to the drivers.
Because the company is crooked it's not rocket science zero accountability zero management to speak with nobody holds them accountable you will never ever speak to someone other than a minimum wage customer service rep Uber operates under the shadows and guidelines unlike ordinary companies they are a new breed of stay as far away from interaction with customers all you do is deal with a smart phone email and app you are just a commodity and another IP address.
Dont use uber, they cheat you out of your money and give you a driver who doesnt know his way around the city. Just take a cab!
Its a phrase Uber uses for independent contractors. Under most states emplotment law a contract is not 'supposed to' be a substitute for employment either temporary or probation time. However most states also require that the President or Chief Operating officer (COO) sign all contracts for one year or more. You are dealing in esoteric and very expensive lawyer regulated public issue and local domain law. Its impossible to afford representation but yet a law professor or student could likely tell you what you usually need.
They have changed their service for past months. Most customer service reps are in a country that have no morals. They no longer take phone calls. They have reps that get paid by how many tickets they answer and not how many problems they solve, so you have a person sending you responses that have nothing to do with your service needs or they will fix the problem wrong. They have no care what so ever about you or your life so take heed and do not do any business with Uber AT ALL you will regret it at some point
