on 12/10/15Sorry to tell you, but Nyone can be a photographer these days. It doesnt mean you are talented. With so many filters, bells and whistles and Photoshop being so advanced, you can be a poor photographer and seem skilled if you have a good grasp of Photoshop. You can fix, alter and correct anything. Back in the day, you had to do everything yourself and it took years to perfect. Not anymore.
I received a Summer Award, but that is not the point. These awards are virtual, the same as winning Challenges. What they really amount to, is a virtual pat on the back to encourage you to continue and to improve. The difference comes in with the Contests. There you can win a tangible prize like a camera, a tripod, etc. To me all of this is no issue. I love photography, although I'm still in the learning phase, I enjoy posting my photos and appreciate it if I receive likes and really love it when I receive peer awards. By the way, the various awards, from "peer" through "virtuoso" have no tangible effect in the sense of prize money or objects, it only makes a difference in the satisfaction the receiver might feel... oh yes and they add up points that make both the awarder and the receiver climb up the virtual ladder of progress from "Bronze" to "Ambassador".

I have received one as well, and am thrilled. A friend of mine on VB received one too. :)
I also got the same award
I got one also and I am thrilled
I won the same award. It says one of their favourites. I was not sure how it worked but it seems that more than one pic gets the award. I am still thrilled, but would like to see what their answer is.
