Vitacost is a distributor like Amazon. So each product should have an expiration date or "freshness date/code" if it is not something that can go bad. I have ordered from them for years and always received fresh products :)
I haven't done biz with them for a long time. From what I remember they don't print expire dates on their products, only the manufacturer date. If you ask them they will tell you they're good for 2 years after that date.
