It started with the designs and how fabulous and expensive they looked. Then the heavily discounted price was too tempting. But in reality, it was paper thin, shower curtain fabric, that you could not possibly wear on your skin, as you would sweat. If you saw the quality of the outfits in a dress store, you would not buy them.
