Im having a fairly mixed experience so far on AFF I must say. Yes - the site is sleek and sexy looking but im not getting enough responses or meeting up with enough hot ladies to really claim that my life has changed thanks to this site alone! I probably get a reply for every nine or ten messages I send but I guess the fact that there are so many women to message (not counting the occasional obvious fake) is a positive.
Overall though ive been using a multiple site tactic and that seems to be working pretty well. What I do is (a) create an account on four or five hook up sites (b) take a subscription on the best three in terms of amount of girls in my local area and ditch the other two sites in my case im using AFF, Hookuphangout.com and flirtydater.com (c) add at least four photos, none of my manhood but proper photos like me in my tux at my brothers wedding and that type of thing (gotta keep it classy, baby!) and then (d) add some description in the profile making myself out to be a strong, sensitive and witty type of fellow before (e) sending out as many intro messages and winks as possible. Finally, (f) I repeat this process for the other sites I joined.
I would recommend this as it means you usually have something to look forward at the weekend and if you find good sites with lots of members in your region then you take out the longer subscriptions that work out much cheaper per month and live happily ever after. Well until you fall in love with one of the chicks, and then you have a serious dilemma lol! Anyway, hope that helps anyone who is willing to give it a shot. Best of luck, Ant.

I have been on AFF for approx 6 years. In that time, I met ONE real person in person. Her ad was true and photos were current and real. That was the exception. As many men have articulated, the majority of women's ads are either bogus or are scams. The give-a-way is often same day posts with one photo. When I call it out as a scam, the profile is deleted by the next day. A lady in my older age range from Stone Mountain appeared to be a good fit. The attraction from her side was "instantaneous". Then I'm informed she is working on an assignment overseas but can't wait to get back to hook up. The next communication informs me her laptop has been damaged and special software for her precious stone business is not available to complete her assignment. If I send her a replacement laptop, she'll pay me back. It goes on from there and the baloney keeps getting deeper. I had several of these and reported them, but AFF provided no communication in response. They clearly do not police their site, do not respond to paying customers, and appear to have a real lack of legitimate profiles. To echo another reviewer, AFF has clearly gone downhill over the past 10 years as it does not compare to when I first tried it in 2007.

I'm a relatively handsome fella. Ask me, I won't lie. In any case I've never really had a problem having a woman on my arm. A few weeks hitting the clubs, beaches, restaurants, and in general being on the prowl to find a honey... I've never failed. At least until I tried hooking up on AFF. This place is a joke. Good looking women generally don't exist here or are as rare as a unicorn. Fat and ugly women think far too much of themselves. And then don't get me going on all the fake profiles. I've been casually visiting the site for about 3 months and have gotten squat, zero, zilch. I get more from the honey at the checkout in the local grocery store. AFF cn have the money, I just need to get my dignity back! I'm embarrassed to have wasted my time on such a place. Do yourselves a favor guys... bird in hand, there's no bush for you on AFF, check out someone the old fashioned way... buy yourself an escort with the money you would waste on a place like AFF.

The website use to be good now it has really go to $#*!. Customer service is beyond pathetic can never get a supervisor on the line.

They will randomly terminate your account after ~2 months just because they are money grubbing scumbags. $50 stolen by these greedy pricks and I vow to expose AFF far and wide, and will NEVER recommend them or give my money again. I suggest anyone on the fence about paying for AFF take the time to read these reviews so you understand it is NOT worth it, they are pathetic thieves, and there's better non-scam alternatives such as SLS.

I have been a member for a couple years. I think considering the amount of content that it is really good. Those who are complaining - maybe have the wrong expectations! Personally, I would really not to expect to meet my new wife! It is more a browsing opportunity and one can meet someone but it is hit or miss. No different than going to a bar! HOw many time have we all gone there and spent money and met nobody? If you like a site with a lot of content - it is great! My only criticism is that the video feeds get real slow and start n stop at busier times.
Actually after a few more months, I believe I should add a bit more... in terms of content from members it is second to none. Their biggest problems are their technical computer problems. Their servers clearly cannot keep up with the demand. The members videos almost never play through without starting and stopping - many times they won't play at all! It is a real problem, and when they are contacted they run you through a cleverly thought out program of checking every possible thing on your computer. I have used a half dozen computers on their site and they all have they same problem. 'Truthfully, if I could find a web site with similar content but less computer problems, I would switch.

The rest of the Profiles display photos of sex acts, sexual organs at full erection, or sexual organs spread wide open like a tunnel. These people supposedly want to $#*!/Suck. Photos & videos are displayed showing their prowess in all Sexual.
This is not for decent people or those w/ a weak heart.
Some Profiles are legitimate.
However, we found most Profiles to be a fraud.
We responded to Profiles from the entire spectrum & all we got back were were Scams, Con Jobs, Fraud, & Prostitutes.
People will con you to send them gas money before they meet you for a cup of Coffee.
They will scam you to send them money for an airplane ticket to fly across country to meet you. However, their Profile shows they live in the same city as you.
People will demand you send them $250 as a tribute before they make you their slave.
Some label their rate for sex as a consultation fee.

But, went back to be a non member because of costs. Now, they have pretty much shut off non members. You can't read remails, and you can not get into or use the cam service to watch or talk. All they want is your money and if you can't give it to them, they will not allow you to play, so, removed my profile totally cuz even when I was a member, 50 % or more that emailed me or watched me on the cam, were non members so now they have narrowed it down to 40% or so that can even email or see you on cam. WOW, and I have over 5000 bouns points and thought I would use them to get a membership for a short time? Ha. They want you to confirm your ID. They want all your Real. Info including a copy of your drivers lic. Or passport, etc. Come on AFF. Who pays you to buy that info from you after you get it from you members. That is private info. Bye AFF

I got tired of the "craigslist " replacements and decided if I was going to try a hook-up site, then I would pay for it. Which is about the only way I'm goin g to keep the spammers and scammers away. Ell, the site is just as bad. They advertise a so called "gold 2 day trial", and it is a joke. You get to send 3 messages the 1st day, and then only 1 the second day. Basically your paying for the privilage to view profiles. This site is NOT free. It is to sign up and get a glympse of the inside. But they push monthly memberships everywhere. And yes, they got "fake" profiles to get you to "burn" more money to access them. Basically, you'll spend aobut $50 a month to get your freak on. So, if you got money to burn, go for it. If you don't, stay away.
