I went to aspen dental for a cleaning had x-rays and a cleaning needed mouth wash that was antibiotic and toothpaste they told me that the total charge was 282.00 I paid in full now they are billing me another 222.00 for something
I went there to have them checked my wisdom teeth and do a cleaning. They brought me back and looked at my teeth that was quick. They then had the doctor look at my teeth then she poked my gums and told me I needed to floss more. (No doubt I do). But after that they told me and showed me that I had two cavities one on both sides in between my teeth. Due to flossing... They showed me a shadow that was on a tooth. Then we set up an appointment to have them filled. But a week prior I went to get my cleaning at my normal trustworthy dentists. There were no cavities I called and asked. They told me there were none also they could see between my teeth and nothing! So I canceled before I was ripped off $154. They are scamming you don't go! This is your warning... One is being to nice.
This will be the first bad review i have ever written. I do not believe in writing bad reviews but have made an exception for this comapany. Went for dental pain. They lied about a filling on a tooth that was not done. They worked on the wrong tooth taking off a perfectly good cap and repacing it with another. Claiming their was debris that got under the cap and caused my pain. Instead. By working on the wrong tooth they caused me a severe infection which resulted in them prescribing a heavy dose of penicillin three times a day. I have health issues and because of their doing the wrong thing I was sick for over a week. My advice is to stay away from their overpriced and only money matters company policy. Spoke to a regional manager and he was not of any help sticking with the company line. They caused me nothing but harm, mental and financial. Stay Away from Aspen Dental.
They are a bunch of scam artists after your money. They have soooo many bad reviews all over the net it's not even funny...
I set an appointment to replace a cracked crown, quoted at $872.00. I arrived and received a full set of painful x-rays then a quick examination by a very young dentist (probably fresh out of school) I was told i needed a root canal on tooth that already had a root canal. They preferred that i go with an extraction and an implant.
Bottom line was that the new crown would cost $1,685.00 not including the root canal. I got out of there as quickly as I could and plan to go to a reputable dentist
I will never recommend Aspen to anyone. I have been dealing with them for 6 months and still don't have my dentures. This is unreal and unexceptable. The dentist was great, however their lab is terrible, they keep making the dentures to big for my mouth. They are now working on my 3 set. I explained to them 2 months ago that I needed them by Aug 5th for my grandsons wedding, but THEY ARE STILL NOT READY. I REFUSE TO TAKE ANY PICTURES AND THIS IS AN OUTRAGEOUS. DONT GO THERE. YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY
Charged me up front for services then did not perform the work. Then get this... they refused to refund ANY of the money. I'm not into lambasting companies, but these people certainly deserve it!
This was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a dental office and I have been to many, many dentist due to loosing teeth in a car accident. Some of the assistants we really nice but I can't say that for the rest of them unfortunately. There isn't one positive thing I can say about them and that is really sad.
Make sure you read all the reviews before you make a decision, I wish I had.
They get your money then every time you're scheduled to come in they cancel as you pull in the parking lot or they say you owe them money after you paid in full and have a bunch of excuses I'm moving and need my teeth on the 29th of July after they promised me they would be done they called up and said come in August when I'm in the process of moving to another state I asked for a refund and got the run around about the money they owe me and no way in hell they ran through 1300 bucks of my money and the insurance money for the amount of nothing they did the customer service sucks and had the nerve to ask for my temporary teeth back which would leave me toothless what a bunch of idiots I would find a real dentist before using this place it's waste of your money if you do they failed me and lied to me
Read all the other reviews here or on the Better Business Bureau. They're spot on. They speak English but apparently have very low levels of comprehension. They are an upsell corporate rip off franchise that will do nothing you ask for, then send you a bill for stepping over their threshold. Keep away. Far away. One star is too good for them. And there is no "FREE" consultation.
Live in Southern York County, Take my Son to work in west Kings Mt, NC drive all the way to there parking lot, where their open at 7 am. Rather then hurting their fingers pressing buttons on a telephone, calling all customers, with daily appointment for today, waisting Joe Biddens Gas prices and being put off for 3 weeks already, deside when you walk in for a 9am appointment being told, yet put off another day, and having to repeat that process yet again, and wasiting even more Joe Bidden gas prices. WOW!
I will never go to Aspen Dental again. They are money hungry and not concerned about the well being of the mouth. I've had 2 crowns come out within 3 years of putting them in. On top of that I was told there is not enough teeth left to save the teeth. I'm now going to a different dentist to have implants put in. Aspen Dental accused me of not taking care of my teeth when they are the ones who did the work on my teeth. I wished I had read the reviews before letting Aspen Dental work on my mouth.
As most reviews here, they try to pad the bill with unnecessary work. Go in for a replacement denture and they want to do X-rays even though they have them on file, they want to give you a deep cleaning, sell you a $200 oral B electric toothbrush. When I declined all of the above they got rude and left me sitting in a room for 40 mins. Here's the kicker. The manager who has no dental/medical experience apparently know what I need. I haven't even seen the destist and you already ran up a bill of $6850. 00. I walked out and told them they're a joke. I'll go to a real dentist. Ive had better experiences at a car dealership.
My husband and I have been going to a local 1 man dentists for over 7 years to get checkups and cleaning w no problems. We moved to another state and decided to try Aspen dental. They wanted us to have a lot of unnecessary work done and what our insurance didn't cover / out of pocket was outrageously high when our dental insurance covers 100% of xrays, cleaning *twice a year and reg checkups. Had the same experience when we went to dental works year's ago (money grab)* employee turnover*. Those dental places have a very fast turnover w employees some fresh out of school and I feel they're only out for / in it for the $$$* bottom line. We'll be going back to a private smaller dental office w 1 or 2 dentist in the office, that's my recommendation ' stick w a smaller office of dentist. They care more about you not the big $.
This place is absolutely horrible. They add things like $200 toothed brush and $30 toothpaste. I went in the for an emergency broken tooth. 4 months later it still hasn't been fixed, originally just needed it filled and now a root canal and crown. Require 50% upfront before services are done even with insurance. Kept $400 of mine. DO NOT GO THERE!
I had a filling nine months ago and the filling has fallen out. I thought they would be honest and replace the filling. They told me I would have to have an exam, xrays and then be charged for all services. They also told that the insurance that they accepted then is no longer valid. I am 78 Years of age and will never go back to Aspen Dental again.
I visited the Gates NY location in 2020. That was my last visit due to an extremely rough experience. Flash forward to 2022 I received a bill in the mail for $1,800.00. I called because I already paid for services and they spent an hour telling me it was my fault for ignoring notices from my insurance carrier. I had to spend 4 hours between aspen and insurance (insurance who told me aspen was a nightmare and never returned calls) and at the end of all of it aspen did the billing incorrectly. They didn't call me back for two days and when I was finally able to get ahold of someone they said "we took care of this for you" another 3 weeks go by and I just received another "past due" bill for $1,800.00. I can't leave a message on the voicemail and am beyond frustrated. I wish I could rate a zero.
Have used the Columbus, GA Aspen office for nearly a decade. The change in office staff is noticable. The most recent issues stem from a failure to communicate on the part of the office staff or provide timely service. Had to wait one week to schedule an appointment due to corporate errors with the account (we resolved directly with corporate as neither Aspen office was helpful). Then get an appointment, only to have only x-rays done and deferred another week in spite of the Aspen office scheduling the appointment for the work that was described. Arrive for scheduled appointment, only to be told they cannot see us because they are short dentists. Then seek to push us further out. When this is protested, we get an appointment for the following day. During all of this, we have an issue with an outstanding debt that is apparently 4 1/2 years old (not paid by insurance) that we were completely unaware of until told, "hey you have a balance due"... and then mumble that it dates back to 2018. Who the hell waits 4 1/2 years to identify that there is an unpaid debt? When I ask to speak with someone about it, I get "deer in the headlights" look and handed a printout of office visit history that I sort through to figure out what insurance paid and what we paid; and, am promised that on the third office visit, nevermind we take off work to make the appointments and would be charged for an office visit if we failed to show up for a scheduled appoint, but no consequences for the office? Three appointments to be seen for the one issue of a filling fix we tried to get fixed weeks ago, wait 1 1/2 hours to still not be seen until I walk out of the office along with at least three other customers with the same issue of not being able to speak with someone about an issue. This office has not been right since Daniel left the office before the pandemic.
My husband and I went to the state college pa office. We both had x-rays done they hurt the inside of his mouth I had several sores on my lips and inside the xray person I had was rude blaming me for not listening to her. Walked in to the room with the chair the dentist looked at my x-rays not showing me but said she agreed a full set of dentures is needed. They could however save some of my husband's but he needed an upper plate. When we got our bill minus our insurance it came to $12,000. She tried some finance thing that only allowed us 1250 each. Would not combine our work. We were totally devastated, we went their because it's were our insurance covered but we only get 3500 each. We are 64 years old and don't want to be paying for these teeth thr rest of our natural lives. How do they get away with it. They wanted to put two implants on bottom to hold dentures in place cost almost $1000, plus the oral surgeon only there once a month. And to put us asleep $236.00 every 15 mins. My bill alone was 9,850 after insurance. No wonder most elderly are toothless.
They have really changed. New help and new rules. Not as friendly as before. Now a few employees are rude or just have that (Do not care attitude!) Some new ones do not have a clue what's up!. To ask for money upfront for a cleaning in 6 months is a really stupid policy. After spending over $12,000 in 5 years now we have to find a new Dentist that is not that greedy. At 80 I am not sure I will even be on earth in 6 months. Would my family have to get a refund then? Sad to go. They had the best guy ever that made teeth named Steve. Gary & Marie Johnson ~ Largo, FL
