I have a medical condition and I got the insurance wireless phone during the pandemic. All of the customer service reps are in the Philippines. These are the worst trained reps on the planet. All they do is talk and apologize incessantly but they never take care of a problem. They are inept and so horrifically incompetent that they've turned me into a cheap where I just cried on the floor. I don't understand how they even produce one iota of work. After I complain to a manager, I learned she was just as bad as the rep. After I spoke to her every single thing they said to me was a lie. They promised they were going to send me a new phone that worked well 68 days ago. They even sent me a FedEx tracking number that doesn't exist! They told me they were going to block my full name so people I call would only see initials. Everyone I call still sees my full name! There are so many other examples of how heinous they are. Right now I'm on the phone waiting to make a complaint but the way it's set up is you just go in circles all day and it leads you right back to Assurance Wireless. This is so sick to do to people who really need help. It is absolutely disgraceful and whoever is running this or responsible for this should go straight to hell. This is a joke to you, right? To bring harm to people who are medically challenged or need a real phone and a real people to help them at times with this lifeline. In my case it's really a lifeline. But I can't adequately Express the pain and suffering brought to me by Assurance Wireless because for two months they've been telling me I'm getting a phone that works. This is sick I even have the email that shows the false tracking number with FedEx that they sent me! How much sicker can you get? How awful can you possibly get? There is no company on the planet that is as awful and horrifying as Assurance Wireless.
O. K. Company until you buy a phone and it doesn't work from day one. When it comes to more customer service outside of a free phone they don't have it. That is why they tell you you bought a phone from a company called Quality One *******666 one when you need to fix or return it. They pawn off selling phones to somebody else that uses assurance wireless website dot com website to make you think your buying from them until their is a problem and then they drop it on you that oh you bought it from these guys, not us, excuse. A nasty dirty lying rouse. They must think what do you want for nothing? So maybe they can get Way with it. It's free service why would you complain? That's what they count on, and most of the time it works. They don't live in the real retail customer service world. They just don't. Not up to it. They don't have to and they know it. Don't buy a refurbished phone. They don't check them when they sell you one. Don't buy a new one either. I'm sure their customer service don't exist there either. They are just plain too good at pawning off responsibility to some other company that is even worse, threatening people not to send phone in or they'll pay if they are wrong in whether it needs help or not. Nasty nasty ploy. Or telling me they'll send their address in a email and they never do. They send me a mail that leads you back to, assurance wireless not them or their address. Don't spend a dime on assurance because you'll never get an even return on your money. Just use their according to California law Unimax cancer ridden laden free phones they give you and get cancer instead. Yea, read the fine print when you get your free phone in the mail. It's made of cancer causing material according to California law. It says. Just can't win with these guys. And Sprint is no more help either. Just one more conspirator. No good. Think twice before buying a upgraded phone for sure. Signal and Service is good though.
So when I asked Assurance Wireless to send me another phone they told me that they were going to send me a bigger screen nicer 5G phone what did they do it just came today and it's another piece of garbage a name I've never heard of looks basically no different from the one that I've had from 3 years ago I'm so sick of these companies lying to our faces and they just get away with it they need to be held accountable I recommend everyone if you're looking into getting a low income phone do not use Assurance Wireless avoid it at all cost they don't live in Integrity they lie to you they hang up on you they treat you like garbage their cell service is horrible their phones are even worse and their employees don't treat you very well either there's other companies out there that I've heard of that actually give you something that's worth it and treat you better it's interesting that this is connected to T-Mobile supposedly and yet I've had amazing support through T-Mobile over the years with my other phone but Assurance is garbage the worst company out there for low income phones avoid at all costs save yourself some time and grief and deal with a company that is Kinder more understanding actually cares about their customers and doesn't treat you like a second-class citizen just because you're on low income Assurance Wireless should be ashamed of themselves but to feel any shame or guilt would take a heart and a conscience
So I'm wondering if I should switch my low income phone company I have a cousin who goes through a different place who actually gets a really nice phone this company gives you name brands you've never even heard of in the phones look like something from the late 90s and then they tell you that they can only give you phones that they have in their warehouse which means you most likely aren't going to get a phone that can even keep up with the times seems like other phone companies have better phones and usually always in stock actual name brand phones I'm super disappointed that I joined Assurance Wireless like 3 years ago the brand they gave me was something called UMX it's absolute garbage could barely even use my phone small screen clunky slow ridiculous I didn't know the dollar store sold phones cuz that's basically the best way I can describe it just a piece of junk and then I apply for a new phone and I get told well you may not get a nice phone because we have to see what's in our warehouse I don't care what you think is in your Warehouse we all deserve new phones that are actually name brands you can't just give us garbage that doesn't keep up with nowaday times super disappointed the other thing that happened is one of the people that I talked to earlier (Justin/Justine/Justice?) I talked to a week prior...this time hung up on me and I wasn't rude to her at all just frustrated didn't yell but spoke firmly about some issues and she straight up hung up on me... unprofessional unacceptable not ethical I hope she's held to account because the second person I talked to said "they're not allowed to do that to you" (2hich isn't true if your being super rude I would think) I could understand if I was calling them names and yelling at the top of my lungs...? But they just hang up on someone just because they can't handle someone speaking in Valor and advocating for themselves shows that you're fragile and you shouldn't be working with customer service... so we'll see what this next phone is that I get and that will be the deciding factor if I can continue with this bottom of the barrel company.
Assurance representatives are not helpful but Simon was very helpful alone and only for him I gave him 3.5 4 stars it'll be five once I get the phone

Assurance wireless has to be the absolute worst cell phone company in existence. I realize I should be grateful that I get a whopping 250 minutes for free every month. But what good is that if the horrible phone they give you never works? Customer service is completely useless. I've had this phone for 8 months now and have contacted them no less than 25 times. My phone STILL says "not activated". I have done everything they have said and nothing corrects the issue. It doesn't help that each customer service representative contradicts what the last one said. It just comes across as a bunch of people answering the phone for a paycheck that truly have no knowledge about the service or how to troubleshoot. Now, let's talk about the horrible free phone:
I have a Wiko Life 2, this is the absolute worst phone I have ever owned! It doesn't work 99% of the time. For no rhyme or reason, there are times you simply cannot make an outgoing phone call. If you are successful and that's a big IF, be prepared for the fact that your call will eventually be dropped. Also, be aware that the person you are calling will barely be able to hear you as your voice will constantly fade in and out. The battery life is horrible. It says 16 hours talk time, that is completely untrue. You will be lucky to have 6 hours on a full charge if you do nothing else. I had 100% charge this morning, sent 3 very short text messages & am already at 90% charge. The phone is made out of cheap plastic, I'm embarrassed to even take it out. It has 5 annoying ring tones and 4 annoying notifying tones. It will randomly send tones for no reason multiple times a day. I understand now why they gave this phone away for free, no one would want to purchase this.
The purpose of my phone is to have it in case of medical emergencies. I can't count on being able to use this phone during medical emergencies so it is honestly completely useless to me. As useless as Assurance Wireless. It's sad that the government cares so little about people with medical disabilities.

For the past years they were good but the phones had malware on them so i had to adapt to that by put norton 360 on my phone. Than i had to uninstall some sodtware cause malware got into that as well but i was happy cause i had a free phone i could deal with it. Than comes december 2022 they said they had an error on my account they need me to call and beacause of this give me a free phone i called them and they said they fixed it and would give me a phone. Well the phone never came called again they were like what phone? Than a month later i get another letter saying the same thing so i called to get it fixed but this time i had to reapply for acp they said. I had to cancel my last acp and start all over so i did and reapply to assurance 10 days later i call and they were like what application what letter so i hung up o them and got a hold of comcast and got 30 dollar discount off my internet through them and a phone for 30 dollars so with the discount i am actually paying for my phone and it is part of acp and my phone is the coolest thing yet those stupid assurance wireless phones and viruses are no more for me
They lied to me over and over. It took months to get a Replacement phone that they said they were sending. Finally, I got their Newest SCHOK phone and it did not function properly. I got a second replacement and it malfunctions in the EXACT same manner. Now, I have a third phone and it's worse than the other two. Sometimes, the data Works at 3G but it cuts on and off. The hotspot constantly disconnects. The phone calls will randomly drop and the screen goes dead. Phone locks up with a totally black screen on occasion. The phone volume is very low - even when using speaker phone. Customer service/repair tells me they are resetting tower and all will be good. They claim it will run at 5g after they reset. I turn device off for the reset and return to intermittent 3g and 4g data that constantly freezes and reloads. The customer service knows they are not helpful - so they make sure to knock me off the phone so I can't leave "negative" messages on the "customer service survey". Very manipulative customer service. I DO NOT RECCOMEND, even to my worst enemy. Very frustrating and big waste of time.
So my phone port for charging broke so call to get another phone mind you I have been dealing with these fools for 7 days now. First they wanted to charge me 69 dollars told them bs then they changed the amount to something else. Being a senior this phone is needed anyway I called 16 times yes count that 16 times given a tracking number that was fake then they could not process payment saying there is an error this went on and on and on, So again today call told oh your suppose to get the phone free so we will ship that out in 24 hours gave me a reference id number. Well after messing with these clowns i decided to call back to double check and nope nothing entered into the system. Needless to say i went off on them, then they tell me go get a top off card well if the cell is broken what good with that do. Asked them do you want me to put the card to my ear and dial? They wanted to know how I was contacting them I said its called a landline you know those things that have a jack that can plug into a wall. Then they said well lets see if we can process your payment for a replacement told them you won't be able to cause your system has not worked in a week they tried anyway and said oh oh sorry. SO I finally asked them do you have a clue when the system will be up they go no our tech guys are working on it I finally said well maybe you need ones that know what the hell they are doing cause a week is a long time to be down. Needless to say I still have no phone so BEWARE do not use these people if you don't have to. Sadly they all lie to you and your at their mercy if you are low income. Oh one more thing I am 76 told them when you turn 76 and your only way to call your doctor is on a cell and the people running the service are stupid you give me a call back and let me know how it feels. And if you do run into this problem make sure you know someone you can borrow a landline from otherwise your SOL
I placed an order on Saturday 4 which I paid extra$ for express delivery. I received a tracking number which said I will get it on Tuesday by 8PM. By 7pm I had not received anything( given that FedEx already came to my building and left me no package) I decided to call FedEx and gave them my tracking number. They said they "package" is being sent back to the sender (Assurance) because it was "Empty". WTF is this all about. I call again and "Mark from assurance answered I have to wait for Thursday. I explained this to "Ala and Miki also representatives and None gave me a solution. Ala and Miki were insisting I wait til end of the day. Coincidentally Ala and Miki happen to be their birthday today. Like this is too much bul$#*!. I always had great service but this is out of line. An no one did anything to ensure my order was placed correctly. Miki stated that if I were to speak with her supervisor that Supervisor will do the same thing and tell me to wait (basically the supervisor would of done nothing either).HoRRIBLE SERVICE. I gave a 1-star rating cuz I had to in order to proceed with the review. If it were up to me I would of put 0 stars.)
