I use asurion through AT&t it really does come in handy when you need it. I appreciate that you can get the issue corrected and then the payment is put on to your bill rather than paying up front. I'm insured on all my electronics with asurion!

Assurion fix my problem with my laptop in a moderated time, the outcome with my laptop was better than I expected
I brought a MacBook in for a battery replacement. They said it would take a week to order the part and replace the battery. After getting the Mac home the track pad stopped working and the screen started flickering and went black. I took it back the next day and showed them the issues I was having. They kept it and told me that they would contact me by the end of the day after looking for any issues. I didn't hear from them, I called them a few days later to see what they found and they told me they were running Apple diagnostics on it. I called Apple to see what these diagnostics would be looking for and how long it would take. They told me that the only diagnostics they would be able to test the hardware with was run on the computer itself and only took about 2-3 min. After not hearing from them for a week I went into the store where they said that they found no problems and that there was nothing wrong. I brought the Mac home and the moment I turned it on the right speaker started crackling. I took it back that same day and after not hearing anything from them for another week I went into the store where they told me that the speaker was broken and needed to be replaced for $100. I asked if there could have been any issues that happened while removing components as they changed the battery and they told me no. That the battery was a simple take out and put a new one in job which was completely false. To replace the battery they had disconnect everything from the logic board and completely remove the speakers, tracking pad cables and more. I contacted the corporate headquarters to get these issues fixed. My calls always went to voicemail and it took days to get a return call, on top of that they were not willing to have any email corespondents at all. It's been over a month since first bringing in my Mac in for the battery replacement and still nothing has been done and communication with them has been next to impossible. I had purposefully set aside some holiday time off work while the battery was getting replaced. Now I'm losing hundreds of dollars a week while they do nothing.
