I'm not one to leave reviews, but for once, I couldn't help it. I had a dog with reactivity issues that we've had to put down recently due to behavioral issues. Their team was super helpful and supportive in getting the box cancelled, and even offered to reach out afterwards to check in. I am and will forever be grateful for their business, and will definitely be coming back to them in the future.
I have to send them an email so I get my box. They took the money out of my account on the 2nd of October and still haven't gotten my box and it is now October 18 2024! Stop play with me!
I called to try and suspend a month because I had some unexpected finance issues that came up. They told me they couldn't hold or suspend an account but instead gave me that months box for free. They didn't want my dog violet missing out and hoped it would help and told me to contact again if I still needed assisitance.
My dog LOVES Bark Box! All of those new treats and toys once a month totally blew his mind! The treats are great and are made with ingredients I trust, no gross chemicals. The toys are precious and so well made, there is no reason to not get Bark Box!
We lost our dog in the middle of our subscription. We did not care if they charged our card. Just did not want to receive boxes because it was hard to receive with our dog not here and went on to doggy Heaven. The company did not care, and said "oh okay, we'll your subscription is 6 months nothing we can do, you'll still get boxes.
This company is a trashcan!
I bought my pup a Bark chew toy and he went through it within a week. I got ahold of their customer service and they recommended a toy. He received and is a happy boy. He is an extreme chewer so I will stick with these toys. I will pay a little more but they stand behind thier guarantee.

I was really excited about getting the bark box for my dog. It was themed around Harry Potter. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. When the box arrived it had three toys. I was under the impression that I was getting a Harry Potter shirt free because of the add. Well no where did it say I had to sign up for a 6 or 12 month subscription to get the free shirt. So now I'm sitting here with three toys and no Harry Potter shirt for my dog. I even had to tell them the size clothes that my dog needs and it asked for her name. I reached out to the people and they basically told me that it said I had to subscribe them. I told them that no where in the add it said that. Needless to say I will no longer be a bark box subscriber and I wouldn't not recommend this. The costumer service is rude and not helpful at all. What a waste of $50.00
Bark box is great. They are on spot. The really care about their customers and furbabies.im glad I decided to try Bark box. They treat you like family they answer back quickly when you text them. I would recommend them to others. Their toys are amazing my furbabies love them. They really like the treats. Again I would and will recommend them Thank you Bark box. Cant wait for next Bark box to get here. Again Thank you Bark box y'all and company are amazing.

For months I have sent emails demanding that my subscription be cancelled. The Super Chewer toys are as hard as concrete so my 85lb Lab wants nothing to do with them. I will now contact the FTC and Attorney General of NC.

I have been emailing and responding to Bark Box emails stating that I want to cancel my subscription. It is NOT EASY TO CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION. I deleted all my credit card info since I couldn't cancel subscription from "my account" nor the "dashboard". I've been trying for weeks now. I just received another email today that my credit card info needs updated because "my box is packed and ready to ship". It SHOULD be just as easy to cancel as it was to order. I did receive 12 months of boxes and my dog didn't like 90% of treats. She loved the toys but now her toy box is overflowing and I WANT TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION! It should not be this hard to cancel!

Thought we would give BarkBox a try since we heard they have some durable toys that you can't find in stores. Went ahead and paid for the 6 months subscription so that the monthly fees would be lower. After they billed my account 3 times in the same day for the wrong amount (that has still not been fixed) we got out first box of simply dollar store grade toys. One of which made that papery sound and it took all of 10 minutes for my dog to destroy. Inside was plastic! This is what made the sound and could have choked my dogs!
After texting (because you can't speak to a human being) the company we decided to upgrade to the "super chewers" at an extra $33 dollars which they again billed my account more than twice this amount.
After several more TEXTS, I have turned this problem over to the Better Business Bureau in hopes of either getting the refunds for what they owe or simply cancelling the entire thing and sending all my money back.
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Bentley, my cockapoo, gets so excited when his Bark Box arrives. It is full of treats which he actually loves. He is very picky and I have a shelf full of treats I have purchased that he refuses to eat, but he loves the ones in the Bark Box. He enjoys every toy, and I am amazed at how durable they are. The ones I used to buy in the store lasted less than 5 minutes, but he still has every one of his Bark Box toys. I get packages from Amazon every day, so he really gets excited when his package arrives. DEFINITELY A BIG HIT!

First off, they take the liberty of making your subscription auto renew. It sure sounds like it's a one and done purchase, but it's not.
Second, they done allow any refunds or replacements. They cheerfully tell you to donate it if your pup doesn't like it.
Third, I ordered one towards the end of November because I wanted it here by Christmas. I've now received 2 bark boxes within the first 2 weeks of December. I wish I was joking.
Fourth, I was polite and respectful with support. They gave me a generic response that didn't help. While I was typing, I received a generic "well it looks like you don't need anymore help, bye" message. They know they are sneaky and I'm sure by the low stars that others have been having issues.
Finally, you get 2 toys that maybe cost $5 total and treats that cost maybe $20 today. I usually never leave a review, but I'm out $100 now because they hide behind the disguise of a fun loving doggo company. They will gladly take your money knowing full well that once you receive that 2nd box, they get to keep your money.
I'm hoping that this company continues to get trashed. It truly is corporate greed, wrapped up in a dog collar.

I was just trying to check out the site "exploring" and accidentally press the wrong button and end up order this box that I was not trying to order and the next thing I know I'm getting an order of stuff that I don't know what the he** it is and then want give me refund and no return to donate it to a local animal shelter 29.95 for Shi* I don't want and then gonna give another box for free stop from complaining on them I'm keep doing it until I get my money back

I have a 15 lb Shorky that would chew threw barkbox toys in minutes. We were put on the destroyer list and told the toys would not have anything harmful in them, wrong. The last toy we received (because I. Canceled my subscription) was a stuffed coffin that your dog was suppose to tear it open to get to a bone inside, the toys was filled with stuffing and a squeaker that I had to get away from my dog right away and a rubber bone. I let my dog have the bone and within seconds he had chewed a piece off the end. Yet another toy that went into the garbage. I have toys that I bought at Walmart that are better quality and have lasted months. Barkbox is a waste off money!
Was supposed to get free gift for trying. Wasted my money. No gift and useless junk delivered. Stay far far away.

I got sucked into it to try it then they asked if I wanted to super size it... What they sent me was a joke things were missing it's been like Holand teeth trying to get more it was over a $100 for the 1st Box when the 1st one was boast be $5 that I supersized show cost me 95 more dollars and toys were missing and I've done nothing but text because that's the new generation text text text to try to get it solved and then I tried to cancel it and they informed me that I signed up and I have 10 more months of this so I can't cancel it... This is what America's come to whether they have a good product or not you are stuck pain for it... They don't even have to live up to their obligation anymore.

My dogs absolutely loved their bark boxes. I had the six month plan, but honestly the joy from them makes me want to order more. They always knew which package was theirs. It warmed my heart. 100/10!
PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM BARKBOX! When my box arrived, there was a gaping hole due to the mechanism of the box. Only a 5-in long piece of medical tape was used to secure the whole packaging; contents of the box could've fallen out. I'm wondering why they didn't use normal packaging tape. For $32, you will not get your money's worth. Barkbox will ask you to fill out a survey so they can customise a box according to your dogs' breed, weight and size. Oh goodness, I think they send me items for a "medium" dog when it should have been for a "small" dog. My dog can't use the toys, but at least she can eat the treats? Nope, my dog showed no interest in anything from the box. Also their customer service is very very bad. Upon realising that I didn't want to continue monthly subscriptions with Barkbox, I cancelled my subscription (of course). The next month, I was charged another $32... I contacted them through text, email, customer support and live chat without success. Finally, I received an email from them assuring me that they would refund me as long as I give them feedback on how they could improve AND reason why I wanted to cancel. I wrote them back kindly and until now, they haven't given me the refund I requested.:(
Extra note: the shipping label was so grimy and near unreadable. I know that's a ridiculous complaint, but no wonder some customers never received their Barkbox!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SUBSCRIPTION. I tried to get one box just to try it out, I got automatically subscribed and could not unsubscribe for the next three months. I tried to call and make sure I was no longer subscribed back in April and I am still getting charged and receiving the boxes in September. They continued to charge my account for the following three months after they claimed I would no longer receive them. I've lost about $250 to this company and I never wanted more than one box to try. Will never subscribe again.
I have a KGSD she loved her August box so I gave them a chance! Her September box was supposed to be delivered the 26th it is the 29th when I am writing this. They told me they would give me October free, I waited and today still says arriving the 26th so I asked for a refund seeing how it's almost October! The agreed and said I had to keep my subscription to get o October free which I understand, but I sadly unsubscribed cause I don't wanna pay for something that's not getting delivered on time! I do appreciate them doing what they can to make it right but I just can't see staying when I am not getting them and I do know they have lots of orders to fill but mine has been saying the 26th and still no updates on where it's at!

DON'T GET THIS SERVICE! My dog doesn't play with the toys they send. I get four toys a month and can't cancel the service! I have a load of toys laying around not being used. I can't return them and I can't cancel the service. You are locked in for a year. All this money wasted. My dog wouldn't eat the treats and the powered crap they used to send until I stopped that part of the service. $30-$40 a month for toys and treats that are not being used. WASTE OF MONEY AND WASTE OF TIME!
UPDATE: after reaching out to BarkBox again they agreed to cancel my subscription.
