Bought a Motobecane road bike from BikesDirect about 2 years ago. Customer service was good, they arranged for a specific delivery date for the bike. Arrived packaged well and in perfect condition. I am middling handy and completed final assembly in about an hour and was up and riding. Bike dimensions and specs were exactly as advertised. Bike was about a 50% discount compared with a similar bike from LBS. The wheels were slightly in need of truing, which is something that the BD website clearly indicated would likely be the case. Would buy again from them in a heartbeat. The bike is at my vacation home so I ride it only a few weeks per year, but have put about 1500 miles on it with no issues. Would buy again from them in a heartbeat.

I received my brand new 2021 full suspension Motobecane E Bike. It arrived with a missing part. Front hydraulic brake caliper adapter. It is a no brainer you cannot install the front disc brake with out it. After contacting support I was reminded about the good low price i got the bike for and in other words the money i saved can pay for the missing part. Then to add insult to injury i was told that the bike did not need the adapter that the caliper wit bolt to the shock leg with out it. I mean this guy by the name of Larry says at the time he taking your money if there is any problems before you take it to a shop or buy parts let him try to make things right first. I tried got blown off then lied to not trying to make anything right. BEWARE Buy at your own risk because your on your own with all the money you saved and can afford to pay for the missing parts and will not get any customer service.

When mark my friend who knows bikes said you paid over a thousand dollars for this bike. It is all new technology.
I smiled wondering if I should let him think that and then stated... I paid 350 for it hahahaha.
They just didn't even believe me. One said the fork is worth that.

I ordered a road bike with disc brakes and Shimano 105 gearset. It arrived carefully packaged and is a good quality aluminum frame built in Taiwan just like you get from most large manufacturers. For the price it is a great value over buying one of the big boys if you can be confident you are ordering the correct size. While they are not high end, even the handlebars, seat, and pedals are as good or better than what you get in a similar bike from a big name brand. The most important thing is that you understand the fit and the ride style of the bike you are ordering, plus it helps to be able to put it all together yourself.

This was my first purchase of a bike online, and my first fat bike. I bought the Gravity Bullseye, and I am very happy with the bike. Simple to build, and simple to adjust if needed. If you are not familiar checking the cables, indexing gears and setting limits; don't worry about it, neither am I. I watched a few videos before I pulled the trigger on my purchase, and I did run into a small issue. Not a issue that prevented me from assembling and riding the bike, but I did contact customer service about it. I spoke with Larry, and that whole experience is why I am giving a five star review. Larry was knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely polite. I will definitely recommend Bikesdirece.com and will be making another purchase through them.

When my wife and I were looking for a couple of bikes we happened on the bikes direct site and studied what they had. After some time we decided on two Motobacane bikes, a women's Elite FS and a men's Jubilee Deluxe. Both bikes are first class, ride well and are first rate in every way. They arrived in perfect condition, were easy to assemble and after we fine tuned them for riding we took them out for a test spin. The men's Jubilee Deluxe is a very nimble bike well suited for any type of riding on or off the paved road. It shifts well and coasts very well on all types of terrain. Bottom line, it's a very easy bike to ride and should last for years in the future. The woman's Elite FS is a very nice bike, easy to ride and works well for the road. I've had several bikes in the past and this is the finest bike for the money you can get. I highly recommend these bikes and the folks behind the scenes making sure your order goes smoothly and gets to you on time. Well done bikesdirect!

After 2 years of year round riding single track in all levels of difficulties, I broke my frame. Contacted BD about frame warranty. Took a few pictures, sent in my frame and Larry at BD sent out a new frame. Different color came back and $100 for shipping back and forth of frame. Not a big deal to me. 2 weeks downtime. 2nd bike from them and will buy another. Larry even thew in a whiskey flask, cause who doesn't need a whisky flask for riding!

I purchased two identical HD Gravity bikes. They came with lower end 2.1 tires. We have a bunch of sand on our trails here in Florida so I upgraded the tires to 2.3 WTB Breakouts. This is the biggest tire that can be placed on that frame. One bike is great with this tire. It performs very well. Fun to ride with the extra grip. The other bike has a bad tire rub on the back. The tire can't be centered on the frame. I remounted the 2.1 and noticed it is not centered either. I never noticed right out of the box because it never rubbed. Customer service was no help. So, long story short, my experience was 50 % good and 50% bad. Now I have one bike I really like and one I don't. They are for my wife and I so I make sure she has the one with the most grip.

I bought my Motobecane Fantom DS Comp 29er from Bikes Direct a while back. The ordering process was easy & straightforward and my bike was delivered exactly when promised!:-) The bike itself was even better than what I was expecting, and I was expecting a great bike. However, when I received the bike there was one slight blemish to the paint on the rear triangle. I brought it to the attention of Bikes Direct, they promptly replied and remedied the situation to my complete satisfaction! I would definitely buy another bike from them and I certainly plan on doing so in the near future! It's rare to find a company that provides so much quality for such a reasonable price. 5 stars!
