Today, (10/31/2024), at 6:13 PM, I made a purchase at your Burger King location at ******* SW 40th Street, Miami Florida, only to harassed by Johnny Guzman, concerning a bad review I left his new assistant manager a couple weeks ago. (See, below)
"The location has a manager named Joe (Gonzalez; from what he told me). He is new at this location. Today I used my app to order free French fries and the fish sandwich. The app sent through only the order for the fish sandwich and the fries which the app gives for free if I purchase $1 did not get put through. The person taking the order indicated I would have to speak to the manager... the guy called Joe. I tried explaining what happened to Joe but after three attempts I asked if he wanted me to draw a picture because he just was not getting it or simply playing stupid. Simply put, I wanted exactly what I paid for or I wanted the purchase voided. Joe tells me he can't reverse the charges so I told him just give me what I paid in cash... no harm no foul. He told me all he was going to give me was a fish sandwich irrespective of what I had explained to him. So my conclusion here is this poor excuse for a manager which doesn't know how to communicate too well, much less how to navigate through simple issues (created by the Burger King App) with regular customers, is going to have me become a regular at McDonald's which is one block away.
And you wonder why this location performance poorly... because the customer service doesn't know about customer retention and how to achieve it.
Joe, go find another job... you are useless here"
Another individual took my order today (he was very professional). As I waited for my order to be prepared, Johnny Guzman appeared in front of me and started addressing me concerning matters related to the review I just quoted above while pointing his finger at me in a threatening manner and trying to "tell" me what to do. I immediately stopped him and told him I'm not a kid, I'm 60 years old and he doesn't get to "tell" me what I'm going to do. As he continued to address me (now in a louder voice) I informed him that I did not give a s*** if he was the manager of the store or Donald Trump, that if he continued to address me that way and it turned personal that "he" was going to have a problem. At which point he told me "this is the last time you can eat here... I'm the manager."
I reminded him that the store was not his (basically that he is an employee) yet I can not get out of my head WHY Burger King hires people that allow the job status to get to their head, particularly the ones that do not have a clue to what customer service really is.
A manager is the key represetative of any Burger King, and to have a Burger King manager demonstrates behavior as described above should be an embarrassment to the corporation itself. Your corporation really needs to review carefully the employees to hire as managers, because they set the standard for the rest of the employees that work there.
ALL THE ABOVE FACTS ARE 100% ACCURATE AND CAN BE VERIFIED BY CORPORATE REVIEW OF THE VIDEO MONITORING SYSTEM EMPLOYEED AT THE STORE
