This is the second time calling for assistance and it was great/ your tech support also helping my developers solve the problem. It took some time but we got it resolved. I had Bluehost when if fist launched my website, and for reasons I can't figure out why SEO team decided to move my newly develop site. But it did happen!. Anyway, I'm glad to be back and looking for long and lasting relationship.
Our experience was great because of generous in terms of user numbers and unlimited storage, efficient processes, and a focus on customer satisfaction. The hosting excels at providing timely support and ensuring smooth operations, which made everything seamless. One area for improvement could be increasing proactive updates, so customers stay better informed throughout the process.
I do like what they built but not what I asked for. Had my website built and the entire process was a nightmare. It was not built to my specs and when questioned they said my package didn't include what I was requesting. I was crystal clear I wanted a portfolio site with basically just a title and pictures on each sub page. I was also specific on how I wanted he pictures displayed. It should have been done in December and I have given up.
Bluehost's front page need to have a new to building a website option that explains what is need to start a new website. Example, one would need a domain, internet hosting and so fort, in a lingo that's somewhat defined. I opened my hosting account a month after acquiring my domain, sought for a place to start designing website because I didn't know they were different things.
WordPress has been difficult to navigate. Too many options. It would be better if there's an interactive wizard.
Had it in early 2000, simple and easier to use.
I have been struggling with getting satisfactory customer with my email account since renewing over a month ago. The migration process has can't seen to done correctly, my email does not work and I have been charged an additional sum for the process...
I am frustrated
Your customer service is horrific... you charged me a domain renewal fee because, the system did not process the transfer request before domain expired, Even after it was proven the request was made 30 days prior to the transfer. So, in order to transfer my domain, I had to pay the renewal fee and then pay it again to the other hosting company.
I did not choose Bluehost, I am trying to get away from you
I have had nothing but problems since I signed up, I have spent all last week on the chat with people who cant figure out the correct problem but somehow keep finding other problems to fix instead...this whole thing has been ridiculous
Impossible to contact customer service by simple email. When calling the phone number, I have yet to have someone get back to me on a reasonable amount of time. Very, very frustrated with my bluehost experience thus far.
They get you with lower price starting options but pricing for renewals is significantly higher than industry norms.
Logging in is also a complete pain... Changes every few months and I feel like I spend 10 minutes learning a new system, resetting passwords, and trying to jump through hoops to get in.
1 it happened many times that my websites down/can be edited, due to reasons from the Bluehost operation system.
2. many times the consultant provide wrong answar, e.g.:the BWB is replaced by Wordpress, BWB doesn't work any more.
You charged my 300 dollars for a plan that you are not even offering. And you declined to drop me down to a new basic plan. I also have had a lot of trouble using the wordpress site in terms of building my website so that is frustrating. I'm just very frustrated right now
I didn't choose it today. I choosed it awhile ago. I probably wouldn't have chosen it if I could start over again but I am already committed financially.
I'm working on a blog website for my sister. I have over 50 years of experience in computer programming and I maintain a code-heavy ASP.NET website. I have found the whole process with her blog incredibly confusing and difficult. She would have no hope doing it for herself. I don't understand how non-programmers can possibly configure a blog.
Because I'm slogging through the daunting difficulty of sett up my sister's blog and I need to see if mail is coming through or getting stuck despite setting up a forwarder. Bluehost support was no help at all.
Unresolved issue and access to my Hosting Account and 5 websites for over a week. False promises and no real live technical support. You can all talk to someone to forward a question to them. You can't request a call back from the true technical support or call them. Blue Host lost the Website hosting Tab on my account and NO one has a clue.

As a long time client, it is very off-putting to have to go through a privacy-protection fear-marketing gauntlet EVERY TIME I LOGIN. I can see why you might want to push that with new clients. But your automation doesn't take into account long standing clients' needs (who btw are loyal and pay money consistently).

I have only had one good experience with tech chat. One guy last night ended the chat abruptly. I had a problem. The fix caused a bigger problem. My second problem was not fixed so I had support install a backup, Now the 1st problem is back
I'm seriously thinking about moving.
I purchased 3 domain names. I set one up as a website. I was not able to get the matching name for my Etsy store so I want to redirect the matching domain name I purchased to my website. The knowledge base says it can be done. The Customer Service Rep says it can't be done without spending $300 additional dollars. This seems wrong since it appears to be a free service on other domain provider sites.

Still taking one step forward and two backward. I am getting closer to having a clean site, though. It's harder than I anticipated.
The hosting is generally solid, getting the domain names set up and renewed is straightforward. The use of extremely dated Python 2.7.5 and limited features of older Python 3.x supported release, plus other on-host tools are a detriment to developing unique experiences for my intended audience / future customers who need far more sophisticated resources than Wordpress can provide. In addition, it is not in my business' customers' best interest to allow the many built in data collection elements of the primary Bluehost supported toolsets (including Wordpress add-ons), looking forward to the Bluehost virtual servers someday being upgraded to more modern Linux base distributions than the currently unsupported CentOS baseline.
I have been on the Chat several times with several different support staff (sometimes more than once person in a single session), just to figure out how to get access to handle minor changes. In later Chats that include waiting "a few days, Bluehost is experiencing issues and working to resolve them", I get the same playbook that ends with the same statement above but the problem(s) are not resolved weeks later. The end result is a lot of my personal time spent repeating the issues, repeating the steps in the script, and the same ending repeating without satisfaction or resolution.
It is a widely used service, and many Reddit and other sources indicated that more customization was possible to include allowance for developer level builds inside the virtual hosts (with key security measures enacted / ensured). This does work to a degree, however attempts to implement early-development Flask interfaces for base feature testing have not proven successful yet as much of the Flask install does not succeed.

Each time I've tried to get on the last few times, I've not been able to. I've had to change passwords or even call. This time I called and it had to be reset three or four times. Not sure if the woman on the phone thought I am an idiot who can't type or just can't digress from the script. I typed in the password that I just made and it did. Not. Work. Each. Time.

Since Bluehost has made changes last years I continuously have spent hours trying to access my account with passwords not working even though they are correct and many other issues. Also its crap when you now come on it it doesn't go straight to the website page. Its gone from a great platform to one I won't recommend at all!

From the start of my membership i have been in contact with the blue host chat service due to technical issues in my account. Although they have helped. I still later on experienced difficulties with the tools as everything is complicated. Moreover you need to keep paying for any additional service although it should be part of the membership. I used to be an Ipage costumer and it was better. I still cant figure out how to add a minimum word count on my WPforms. As I'm receiving a lot of spam. I wont be surprised if they ask me to pay for this too.

Because of a system update that your company performed it left my website down then when we tried to use the backup the website no longer works or functions how it once did. The first 2 people who "helped" me didn't punch in the correct information to get the help that was needed. On my third contact to you guys the help desk guy finally punched in the information needed to help me. Unfortunately it ended up doing no good.
I'm starting to wonder the same thing
I've asked for the SSL on my site to be installed on numerous occasions and it hasn't been. The operative, does something but doesn't see it through to make sure the problem is resolved. I need your agents to own the problem until it is solved. I've been asked to start another chat in an hour when a scan is finished, but really I would expect your representative to keep an eye on this and contact me rather than ask me to manage the resolution from my end. It feels like I am going round in circles
My 5 page website is not working. Blue host should have known that. I called and was told that it has been infected.
The host should have secured it.
Not they want $360.00 US from me to remove the virus.\

I lifted the automatic renewal of my hosting and you billed me for the service again. Furthermore, with their telephone contact they purposely complicate contact with those of us who live abroad and do not have sufficient command of English.
