A great place to get computer parts. Cheaper than Bestbuy/Futureshop. Similar to Newegg Canada. I've been buying from the Ajax location over the last few years and have had no major issues. Like most tech places, you should know what you want to get. I would also advise you to not base a purchase on what the associates suggest. They tend to push the items that they have in great quantity, versus quality.
Unbelievable! I find what i want at the price i want on their website. I wait until the next day to phone and confirm the model number and specs. I order the computer, get it, and it's not the one! Yeah, sure, they offer me a refund... and say "sorry, we rely on info from our suppliers"... i don't care where they get the info... they posted a product at a price, and then refuse to honour it. And "J" at local 261 apologizes... big deal... words are cheap, and this company, IMHO, is a "bait and switch" scam! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
My son Purchased a PC and the address had a typo. Instead of making the corrections and communicating with the buyer, the order was simply cancelled. At least try to help and show that you care.
Personally I don't rely on the sales people for information, and do my own research. I do understand that people may be asking for technical advice from the sales workers and not getting the right information, and getting frustrated. But in general, I find Canada Computers stores having most of the stuff that I need for competitive prices, and the return policy seems to be fair.
Purchased a large format printer online June 25. When it didn't arrive in the indicated period (July 9) I e-mailed asking for tracking information. Replied to me with a form letter e-mail order cancellation and no explanation. Printer listed as 9 in stock at three of their various locations at that time. No explanation for that, just out of stock. July 11 - Spent an hour on hold with their "customer service" line *******088. After one hour it said leave a message and hung up on me. July 13 - Spent an hour on hold to other "customer service" line *******400. Same thing happened - it hung up on me after an hour. Informed them by e-mail that I have been in touch with Visa and the BBB. Claims to have processed a refund but nothing has been put back on my card. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
Buy 2 laptops in ontario with warrenty. Great prices best prices all name brands. Provide good servicing also warrenty gurantee all good products and genuine parts accessories for compute laptop I am buying here
If you order online and you receive a confirmation email that your parts are waiting for you, ensure that you call them ahead to see if they arbitrarily change their pick up criteria. Drove 60 min through traffic to ensure that I picked up my parts prior to the 2 day hold criteria, only to find out that they are not fulfilling online orders because it's Black Friday. Fair enough IF you stated it in the email AND if you actually had huge numbers of customers in the store. You didn't. There was 4 more staff then customers, all toting the company policy for Black Friday. Stop being robots and make a decision that might encourage repeat business. They did not. The manager also was quite proud to tell me that he turned another couple away that drive 2hrs to the Orleans store. They lost their business as well. If you have a brick and mortar store and you continue to allow the above scenario to play out without allowing/empowering your staff to make decisions to assist customers, you end up feeding online giants your business. Can't support this Canadian store in its current state.
Cheap than most major distr (best buy/futureshop), lots of locations. Customer services are fairly good.
Since 2001 I was customer of Canada computer, I bought all my computer since I moved from Mac to PC from Canada computer.
I love to have customized computer cause I can get what exactly I need, they are such high tech and not only they price is better than other places but also, they have lots of variety and options of brands and products.
Thank you Canada computer to give us an option to have what exactly we need, of course they have computers that already been setup for the normal use.
They are amazing people who helped me fine exactly what I was looking for and it's in my budget exactly they are very helpful thank you
I have used Canada Computers in the past and have had no prior issues, so I decided to use them again when my laptop needed to be repaired. I dropped off my laptop and was told it would take approximately 2 weeks at most for the repair. So I agreed. No price was given to me as a possible estimate; as a diagnoses was not made as yet. Diagnoses made after 6 weeks, no call to indicate repair price. In total the basic repair took 8 weeks!
I had no follow up calls on the status of my computer form anyone in office or store, I always had to call for an update and when I did no one seemed to know what was going on.
Additionally, there was always inconsistent updates being provided to me from management and repair personnel. To make matters worse, once the laptop was repaired, it was returned with multiple scratches that weren't present at the time of drop off.
In terms of compensation management didn't do much and basically said if they were me they wouldn't use Canada Computer's in the future and gave basic apology. As to date, they are super back logged and are advising customers of the potential excruciating wait times! (One customer came in for a repair... there were 31 repair tickets ahead of him)
Poor customer service will lose POTENTIAL customers... just some food for thought!
Tabitha (Nepean) just made the purchase of my new laptop, the easiest and best purchase experience ever!
Big fan of those stores! Shop for PC parts to full computers; while finding speakers and laptop backpacks. This place is amazing.
After careful consideration, on March 7,2018 I bough al the parts that were needed to build my new desktop. The Sales rep., Jeremy was very helpful as well as knowledgeable in every step, he even when as far as recommending some alternative parts in order to either supply a better performing part or to safe me some money. Once I purchased all parts I then decided to speak with the Service Technician His name is Henry, after a brief conversation I decided to have CanadaComputers put together my PC.
Note: throughout the years I have bough parts for three PC's 486, and two Pentiums. All from Canada Computers However, this time I decided to have the PC build by the in House service technician this person is one of the most knowledgeable computer tech that I have met in a very long time. Great sales Rep, great technical support, plus they also match some of the prices from other suppliers and Most Important I have the Best PC I ever had. Thanks CanadaComputers, and thank You Henry for your truly professionalism. Antelo B., Vaughan, Ontario
Sold me a $30.00, faulty simcard and won't accept my return. I tried to transfer a movie to the sim and the sim simply died half-way through the transfer. Can no longer access or even format the sim. I brought the receipt and item to the original store 3 days later but they won't refund my purchase. They were going to swap it for the exact same item but they were sold out. They wouldn't offer me store credit for a better card or refund the defective purchase. They insist that I have the original packaging; which I didn't have because they put the SIM in.
On the phone, Kyle (the manager) told me that he can't accept the return without the UPC code. He needs to UPC code in order to differentiate the item from the hundred thousand other items. I pointed out that this is great since he can do an item search and pull up the UPC code on his computer. He admitted that he can do this but it won't help since he needs the barcode. I told him that I can easily print one if he provided me with the UPC number; he wouldn't. Essentially, he lied and tried to protect his statement once he figured that I could easily print one if I had the UPC code.
This contravenes the Ontario Sales of good act. I quoted this to him but he didn't care. At the end, he wants the little brown bag it came in; the UPC code argument failed so it's a lack of return for lack of a tiny bag. This is HORRIBLE customer service and will never be going back. They simply refuse to refund the sale of a broken item.
Excellent service repair experience with these folks, and for a good price considering the amount of time they spent on it.
This retailer refuses to stand behind products purchased in their stores - BEWARE -
Staff are unsympathetic (pathetic) to client complaints.
Answer: Impossible! Don't answer their phones. Answer some e-mails with form letters.
