I'm not sure why this site has so many bad reviews. As a person who used to own a survey site, it's probably from people not following directions, or trying to use the card after they sold it. It worked perfectly for me, I sold two cards, a Macy's card that I got from swagbucks and a Victoria Secret card that I gave to a Tinder chick and took it back from her after I found out she got some more side dudes without asking me first. Got my check in about 5 biz days.
I bought gift cards for one merchant and they were electronic but took too long to get to me through e-mail (which should be almost instant)... the item I was trying to purchase went out of stock and then back off sale back to its original price which was double the amount. $300 instead of on sale for $150 when I bought the gift cards. I've been e-mailing for a month now and NO responses, not a single one! Then I purchased a gift card last week and still have not received it. Other sites I've used I get the gift card within 15 mins... this one I'm lucky if I get it at all and definitely no refunds whatsoever... don't waste your money even if they price for a bigger discount it's not worth losing a couple of hundred dollars or more. The screenshot shows their one automated response saying they will get back to me... but when? In a few years?

Tip for consumers:
Be sure the value of your card is correct when you enter it in.
It's not immediate, but what do you expect when you're a penny pincher and buying a second hand gift certificate? Took 2 days to ship out - then another 2?... which really isn't so bad at all. 17% discount off my initial purchase and got an additional $5 off for being a new customer. Elated! No complaints here.
My wife has been buying discounted gift cards from Cardpool on and off for a few years now. I finally asked her to please stop! 5 over the last few years have arrived with either the wrong amount or unable to use at all. Dealing with their customer service is mind numbingly painful and never satisfying. It's too bad because the idea is a good one
I've used Cardpool successfully for 7 or so years (I only buy, typically Starbucks cards). No probs whatsoever... UNTIL May, 2019. I bought a $50 e-card--have done so in the past multiple times--and it came to me already registered to someone else AND with a $0.00 balance. I called and left messages 3 times.no response! I also sent detailed emails to their address 3 times. No response! I turned to my credit card co. (BoA), and after much documentation, I now have the $48.25 I spent at Cardpool back in my account. I hate to have this once dependable company become a scam, but I don't dare buy from them again!
Took a bit longer than expected for them to receive, but that was due to the Christmas rush. They responded very quickly to my status update inquiry, and check is in the mail now! Would highly recommend!
I sold them two Nordstrom giftcards last week with a payback of almost $900. I have tried calling them, emailing them, and even messaging on twitter. Have not heard one word. And on there site it shows my cards as still processing. It was supposed to be processed in 1 business day. Am considering a lawsuit due to the large amount that has been stolen. (Giftcards were for almost $1,200)
Not sure what these other people are complaining about but my experience with cardpool has been great. I purchase Wal-Mart and Starbucks card all the time through this website and company without a problem. Service is prompt and really is a bargain considering how much I save paying less than face value of a gift card.
Sold 2 Apple Store gift cards to Cardpool a week ago for e amazon gift card. They sent me a confirmation said the trade will be processed within 1 business day but it's been a week and I still got nothing... wrote them several emails they only replied 1 of them say they are having a huge amounts of orders and will expect some delay... if you can not finish the transaction within the given time could at least send me an email tell me the updated estimation... so disappointed and I don't think I will ever do business with them again.
There are many gift card companies like raise or gift card zen where electronic gift cards are provided within an hour of purchase. Here I am, 12 hours later, still waiting for an email. Wish I had read the reviews earlier, I may be waiting days for it. I'll call my credit card company after today to initiate a refund since Cardpool has no customer service.
If you're looking to buy a gift card at a discount, go with a reputable company - This IS NOT one of them. Don't believe me? Try calling the customer service number before you place your order. Nobody will answer. The phone will ring and ring and ring. When it finally answers, it's ALWAYS a message that says they're experiencing high call volume and makes you leave them a message, stating you'll receive a call back, But you never will. You also won't get any help getting your situation corrected through the "customer support" email. They don't do anything to help you.
I did not receive payment for my giftcards, so I attempted to contact customer service. I sent multiple emails and called customer service at least 20 times (on different days, different times of day) with no response. I finally filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Cardpool issued PART of my payment shortly thereafter (only for 1 out of 2 giftcards sold). They finally answered my emails nearly TWO months after I contacted them basically just saying "we paid you." I'm not saying it's a scam, but they seem pretty incompetent of both keeping up with payment (isn't that one of the most basic functions they should be doing?) and of having any sort of customer service available.
Shipped FedEx so I had a tracking number. As advertised I received a confirmation email within 24 hours of they're receiving my card. Said I would get my check 3-7 business days. Got it in 4. Have not cashed yet but everything seems legitimate. My one small gripe is they have no support number to call just a VERY automated email service.
I don't even want to give a star to Cardpool.com. Their service is sucks. Before I buy a bulk big gift card amount, I tried a small amount and make sure it's not scam first. First, the website doesn't show any customer service phone number which is weird to me. Then I send them an email to check my order status, no response at all. It has been a week and I am still waiting for my gift card. Hopefully, I didn't lose my money.
After this experience, I will never do business with Cardpool anymore. Raise.com is a good choice for me to go...
Purchased a Panera Gift Card and need the pin number in order to use it. Sent many many e-mails no response and left numerous voice mails. This will be the last time I buy for you guys. It's turning into a SCAM.

Worst experience ever with selling gift cards. They lie about how long it takes. And have no customer service. And this is the last time I've ever sold to this company considering I haven't gotten anything for it in a week
If you want to lose your money, go ahead and order. It takes forever to get an electronic card delivered. They don't state that on their website until you place an order.
I've ordered gift cards from other sites that delivered almost instantly that has a professional and courteous service.
Most of the time their site is down. I don't understand how they can have an online business with a slow response time. My advice for anyone looking for discount gift card is to steer clear from this company. It's not worth the hassle.
I mainly wanted to sell them a Best Buy gift card I had lying around, and went through the process on their website. They describe it as pretty easy, and that they will give you an amazon gift card in under 1 business day for whatever they appraise your gift card for. I sent in my info and waited almost a week before they came back to me with a vague response of "our risk assessment team has decided not to accept the card..." and that they were unable to provide any more details. I'd avoid this website.
I sold my $150 gift card to Cardpool. I documented everything, just to be safe. In less than 24 hours the Amazon payout giftcard was sent to my email. I have already used a portion of it. I am highly satisfied!
Their customer service is extremely poor and don't bother trying to call the number listed. I called 3 times and received no response. I wanted to gift card exchanging a try but it turned out to be a waste. I'm getting frustrated just writing this!
I bought two gift cards from Cardpool.com. Received them with $0 balance... Emailed customer service no. Of times re: this issue... Never heard from anyone back... Had to open a dispute with the credit card... then only I received my refund... DON'T BUY FROM CARDPOOL
I've had a very positive experience dealing with Cardpool.com on several occasions either buying or selling gift cards. Their selling process is very easy and simple: no credit card on file required, no additional statements from me. They even provide a postage paid label to send the gift card(s) you're selling. I enjoy doing business with them every time. Unfortunately they lack some of the brands of stores on their list, but so far I was able to find all the ones I needed. Thanks.
Please don't use Cardpool. Unless you don't want any money! I put two cards on Cardpool and very quickly they told me they were bought. Ten days later, no confirmation of buyer paying for them. Cardpool says that the buyer has up to a week. Bologna!
What a SCAM
I buy and sell at cardpool and have never had problems. When I purchase e-cards they usually arrive in my email the next day. Physical cards take 3 or 4 days. I Haven't had a bad card yet.
When I sell e-cards, the payment is usually mailed within 48 (business) hours, and in my hand 2-3 postal days later (including Sat, excluding Sun). I haven't sold a physical gc so I don't know the timeframe for that.
They tell you on the site what they're willing to pay; you can almost always get more if you're willing to trade it for another card--you get less for cash/check payment.
Purchased a couple hundred dollars of gift cards with my chase sapphire to get the bonus points. Paid off balance and did not use it afterwards. Couple a months later I get an E-mail from my set up alerts about several transactions being charge to my card in the hundreds. This is not a trustworthy company. Thankfully Chase was very nice about resolving the issue. You have been warned!
If I could rate 0... I would. A friend told me about cardpool so I was excited to buy my first two giftcards to buy items remaining on my baby registries. After 3 days of not receiving my email giftcard orders, I emailed the support team. I received a response that their risk team had decided not to honor the sale and that I'd get a refund. No reason or anything. I was appalled. So now I can't buy giftcards fRon them? It makes no sense. Gave them all my contact details and valid payment. Unbelievable. Worst service ever!
