Thats the catch. You have to pay 29.99% rate. Not worth it in any way, its better to save up or to get a personal loan. This rate is predatory.
Spoke to a very patronizing, and condescending individual who said her name was"Maya" over a charge of $450.42 that popped up on my account overnight. She tried to give me a very slimy "gotcha" tactic to try to fraudsplain to me that it was all "interest charges on my account." I advised her that I was going to report them for their fraudulent behavior! My advise? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!
I wish I could have given 0 stars. The customer service I received on 9/10/23 was the worst customer service I have ever experienced to the point I cried. They will lie to you and they are not willing to help you with your problem.
So my vet only takes care credit MasterCard don't know why but care credit will not help so this card is useless to me. They will not help at all. Call them and text them. And they keep telling me I completely understand when they don't. So what do I do with a card that I can't use because they will not help so if you're looking for help, they will not help you at all supposedly is computer generated, which is bull
I liked the card for awhile and they even upped my limitwithout my asking and sent me a new card. Im pretty good at paying balances down to avoid interest, which they charged to me a few times when they shouldn't have. I called them out and they reversed the funds. At one point I got a new account number for direct deposit, changed it with them via customer service and online. They then drew it from the wrong account even after the change. Giving me a late charge and reversing the payment. Even when they did have the right account something t happened where then the payment was reversed…. Which is why they cancelled my account. Funny this hasn't happened with any other cc account in my entire adult life, which is a bit. With inaccurate interest charges, late fees due to their clerical errors, and often times messing up the bonus point amount…. It's really not worth the trouble. Find a different cc, many give points these days and other perks. So not reapplying
Paid my card in full, they closed my account, no warning no reason.
THEY SUCK WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN I HOPE THEY GO BANKRUPT WILL TELL EVERYONE I NOT NOT TO USE THEM. I would give them a negative number if I could
If not paid within the initial "no interest" terms of the agreement (which are dependent upon credit score), interest is charged at an exorbitant amount retroactive to the beginning of the agreement. This means that all of your interest free payments are no longer interest free. In my case, that made my remaining balance of just over $5,000 jump another $2,200. I was able to get an extension, but not without going through the acrobatics of talking to manager upon manager. After securing bank funds to pay it off, my bank informed me that there's no direct means for them to transfer the balance to Synchrony. This means that I was issued a check made out to Synchrony sent by mail that I now have to mail to Synchrony. All of this takes extra time, mind you - time that is ticking away towards the expiration date following which I'd be charged with the extra $2,200. Now here's where it gets even trickier. After they receive my payoff check, I must still call back to have the interest removed. If I fail to call back, the $2,200 interest will remain, despite them having received a payoff in full. I don't know how this company can legally operate, especially given their target population is those who need medical care but are unable to pay for it.
This should be illegal not only high interest also a ton of fees for no reason. On top of that lower my limit for no reason.
I've had CareCredit for years, and would use it on my pets. I started at less than a $1,000 CL and worked my way up to $10,000 CL. I went 6 months, just 6 without using it, and they closed it for "Inactivity" because I didn't have a balance. So if I'm trying to avoid some debt, I guess that's a problem for corporate overlords who want all the profit they can get.
While this idea might sound good choose some other card company! I used them, and had their credit card which expires 06/23, but they closed the account 11/22 because I had not used it. No notice or anything telling me they were closing it or why. Then when I called them 8/23 to find out why I didn't get a replacement card, that's when I found out it was closed in 2022. They didn't offer to open it back up, send me a new card, or anything else. I have other credit cards and will use them for what I need! No customer service available with Care Credit which tells me they don't need any of my money!
I had this card no issues would use it when ever I went to the dentist all of the sudden because I used one of my credit cards more than normal you find me as a risk now you ruined my credit dropped my score by 28 points I did nothing wrong never late you guys should have legal papers against you and in jail
Care credit is terrible they will approve for credit but one you begin to pay off the loan the decrease the amount they originally gave you that lowers your credit score after you pay off your debt they cancel you all together and give you another bad mRk on your credit I would avoid them at all costs
I've had that card since 2018. Used once. It's a plan B. Nope they canceled the card on me. *uck you
I paid my account ON TIME and never had a late fee or anything. Get a letter stating that they canceled my card because of non payment! I have ALL the confirmations and emails but they refuse to open it back up but they said to reapply. I di and was denied because they canceled my card! Also, one lady hing up on me when I asked why my card was canceled.
Someone put my check electronically. I went to my bank many times and sent them proof of payment. I haven't had a late payment in 17 years. I will cut up this card and my husband and all friends at work I recommend this card should cut it up. I was told someone could have taken my money and there is nothing they can do.
Dear CareCredit/Synchrony Bank,
Closing my account just all of a sudden without any warning is slimey, shady, and disrespectful. You closed my CareCredit account because of issues that are impacting my credit score. These same issues weren't a problem before, but since my situation has not gotten better you'd rather just compound the issue even more. I have no health insurance. I depended on the Care Credit to help me make paying my bills manageable. I've never been delinquent, had a past due account, account closure or anything else that might cause concern. I will not be doing business with your brand moving forward. I will inform as many people as I can to about your shady practices. I can't control that I have student loans or lost work because of the pandemic. That is beyond my control. You all should be shutdown, fined, and jailed / sent to prison. You are nothing more than a pile of excrement. When my credit improves and everything else is under control, I will never do business with your company or CareCredit! This is the second time I've had an account that was associated with Synchrony Bank that has been closed out. I advise prospective customers and current customers to run as far away as possible! They are not interested in providing anything but pain, misery, and malice! Go ahead and just them both down!
My dog got sick and I was approved for 2000$ in June. I was using this along with my pet insurance to pay off his bill. I used $1800 of my credit over time. I made my first payment in July for $1000. When I went and looked 12 days later my account showed I only had 200$ available. When I called they informed me payments larger than 500$ take 2 WEEKS to reflect on your account. It would be august before I would see this money in my account again. Heed my warning even if you make payments on time and do the responsible thing they will screw you over. There are hundreds of credit card companies that actually care for their customers and warn them of things like payment delays or processing time. Also they will not inform you of process charges either. When I got the card it took them 3 weeks to charge me $30.00 for the processing fee. I haven't had the credit card for even a month and I regret it completely. Don't get this card.
I was with them for year and didn't use it except when I did use it the fee are just ridiculous. After I paid I didn't use it for 8 months and then the just closed my account even when I was in good standing. I would not waste Mt time on this card because, it not worth it and when u call you get people that barely speak english.
Paid for over a year auto payments to check my statement and find out I still owe more than what my original balance was because Fee after Fee after Fee has been added. DO NOT USE CARE CREDIT. Several other options that do not charge the insane fees
