I booked a rental car in Tirana/Albania on 16th Sep 2024. Booking Reference CJT-*******.
I arrived at the YOURS RENT A CAR office and the agent there was very unprofessional and rude. I gave him the rental voucher and the credit card the first thing he said was I needed to buy their car insurance for the rental to go through and I declined as I had the full insurance purchased from carjet.com when I booked the rental car. He did try the credit card (virgin credit card) and the card reader he was using did not accept the card. Tried 4 times with the same result. He did suggest that I had no funds in my card but when I confronted him that the card reader was not working he did get upset I told him I had over £5000 credit he was being unprofessional. I did contact UK Virgin Money through live chat they checked everything and could not find a fault on my side but they told me the card reader was at fault and I did pass the news to the AGENT he did get offended. The agent suggested I buy the insurance directly from them in cash for 65 euros/per day or I can cancel the rental ''BECAUSE THE CARD READER IS NOT WORKING' and I will get a full refund and get another rental somewhere else. Did agree to the cancellation and he did send the cancellation form/agreement through WHATSAPP. Contacted CARJET.COM and explained the situation and did get nothing in return not even an acknowledgement from them. Contacted them 3 times and then they said they would contact the agent and get back to me. They got back to me on the 1st of oct and declined to refund me as my credit card was at fault I did explain to CARJET.COM for the 4th time what happened and I have used the same credit card for the last 4 years in Albania, Italy and Grece without any issues but there is no understanding from them.
Please avoid CARJET.COM at any cost as they are part of the SCAM because they did nothing to prevent those rental companies and their agents.
Avoid CARJET.com at any cost if you value your hard-earned money.
I bought another rental car from a different company and got no refund or any acknowledgement from CARJET.COM
Worst experience accompanied by the worst customer service.
*Website lagging to update your flight number or arrival date.
Our flight was delayed, which resulted us arriving few hours later that day at the car pick up destination.
To collect the car we had to call a number shown on rental voucher.
When called, a company said that the car we booked doesnt even arrived at the airport and our booking got CANCELLED.
When contacted CarJet customer service, the lady said that it my fault we should have let them know that we're leate so they took czr away.
BUT THE CAR DIDNT EVEN MADE TO THE AIRPORT FIRST PLACE.
After I explained what the actual car company said to me ( seems like carjet is sort of 3rd party company that books cars) about car not even being in the airport and also asked for a refund,
Lady said - I can't help you and dropped a phone! What sort of customer service is this?
Not to mention that after they cancelled I didnt even got any email uodate of sort or anything.
We had a long travel to our destination from the airport and now we were left with no transport.
Luckly I managed to book a new car but had to overpay 3x my budget, which was my holiday budget literally.
From a traveller that has been in +20 countries and used many car rental services.
THIS ONE IS BY FAR THE WORST experience I ever had.

I rented in Funchal on 1st December for 11 days - great price! I had a confirmation email to say that €1500 would be blocked on my card for the term of the hire - despite another part of the T & C's saying with the premier insurance, this would not be needed. The email also stated 'NO MONEY WILL BE TAKEN'.
Arriving at the airport in Funchal, I and another couple of customers were looking for their office - but they use 'Magic Island LDA' car hire - there is no office, no name/poster anywhere - despite being told by the office it was there. I asked a number of airport employees and other people around but nobody had ever heard of 'Magic Island' - after half an hour or so I saw a guy wandering around with a fleece on with 'Magic Island' printed on it - they basically work from the back of a car/van. He had the car/paperwork - all was fine - then the €1500 - I was assured it was needed and would only be blocked on my card - so I agreed and this was processed.
The money sat pending, which I thought was fine and I didn't think anymore about it. I returned the car on 11/12 as arranged, all was fine, no damage, return slip said OK and the guy said the €1500 would be released.
When I got home I checked my card only to find that the €1500 had not been blocked - but payment taken on the first day of hire - 1/12. I checked on Tuesday 12/12 and Wednesday 13/12 but no refund.
On Wednesday evening on 13/12 I called the CarJet office and spoke to a helpful (I thought) lady who said I needed to provide proof that payment had been taken, she emailed me to give me the email to reply to her with proof. I did this but got no response back.
I rang again on Friday 15/12 as still no refund. I spoke to another lady who said I hadn't replied to the initial email and so emailed me and told me to send in proof. I sent it again, but then called her to check she had it. No email. After 2 more attempts, she still had nothing. Realising there may be an issue with attachments, I removed the proof attachment and the email went through - great - but I still need to provide proof!
So - clearly their computer system appears to block attachments - so how do I send proof if their system will not allow it?
As it stands I feel I have been ripped off for €1500 and nobody seems bothered to investigate it unless I prove it - but I can't send proof as their system rejects attachments!
I have spoken with my card provider and they will take up the complaint - I have also told CarJet I will report this as fraud.
At the very least, this is very sharp practise, and even if an error - no-one is bothering to help me - they just want me off the phone ASAP - it is like dealing with a call centre in the UK!
This is a very disappointing end to what was a great service!
I booked the car online from carJet and paid for the rental period as well as a full insurance coverage. But carJet don't actually rent cars, they team you up with a local car rental company and only take their commission. This time carJet teamed me up with a company in Bulgaria called ADDCAR RENT A CAR. Upon arriving at Sofia airport When I finally found the addcar office, it was located in a shady car lot way off the airport and the office was housed in a temp container... The salesman at addcar told me that the insurance that I did with carJet was very limited and of no real use (even though I prepaid carJet for a full insurance) and that I should take their own insurance which cost more than the car rental itself! Of course I didn't agree so he tried very hard to convince me and threatened that any minor scratch on the car would cost me thousands of euro and that I have to sign an agreement that that is ok with me. He told me that if I buy his insurance they wouldn't even look at the car when I brought it back. When I still refused to purchase his insurance he said that he was sorry but my credit cards don't work and refused to rent me the car. I gave him 6(!) different credit cards and apparently they all were refused by the bank or the PIN number was wrong. He showed me some text in Bulgarian that I couldn't read that claimed that the credit cards don't work. Of course all the pins were right and all my cards worked everywhere before and after my visit to this agency. I left the ADDCAR RENT A CAR "office" and went back to the terminal to find a proper car rental company which I found easily, cheaper than the carJet offer and with excellent service. [They are Choice Rent a Car and they were easy, nice and had excellent service. (I drove their car all over Bulgaria for two weeks, returned it on time and had 0 problems or issues).] Now, carJet refuses to return my deposit and takes sides with the scammy ADDCAR RENT A CAR.

The worst experience I've had traveling.
We booked a car with CarJet, which internet website is owned by GESMARKET INTERNET PARA VENDER S.L. I booked two months ahead of our family holiday, only to be told on the last day (when we called to verify late car pick-up at Thessaloniki airport) that we needed a credit card to pay the deposit, and not the debit card we originally paid with. It was written in the fine print that the deposit cannot be made with a debit card. But the sentence exactly above it said that "debit cards are accepted by the service provider (visa and Mastercard only)" No serious company would be that deceiving, only one that scams thousands over the internet. My husband called them, (even though the booking was in my name) The several representatives he talked to exchanged info with him without any regard for data protection. He spoke to 3 different people who kept putting him on hold and the line would cut after a while. Eventually he (not me) was given the option to pay 450 euro instead, as insurance to the local car provider through the office in Thessaloniki. The insurance we had originally paid was 65. We obviously asked what would be the refund if we canceled. They said they could refund us the insurance but not the car rental as it was less than 24 hours to the booking. The lady just hung up on my husband again.
Without him agreeing to anything or giving any instructions whatsoever, and within seconds of the last call, I received an email saying that my booking had been cancelled, that I would receive a refund of 65 euro from the original 542.90 euro paid.
I immediately replied that I did not cancel. Over the afternoon I sent over 10 emails requesting the reason why they canceled and we just received an automatic reply that they would get back to us.
The flight was at 10 at night and we arrived at 1 am in Thessaloniki.
I called Abby cars and a representative - G M verified what his colleague S- told me earlier. That CarJet had canceled the booking and they did not know the reason. I explained that neither did I, but he would not help me.
When I did get through to Spain again I was told that the booking was canceled, but no reason was given. I was also told rudely that since they had no recordings they could not verify if what I was saying was true!
It felt surreal, I would never have imagined a representative of a tourism company would act this way. It felt as though they were trained to say the things they were saying, and they executed it without empathy, remorse or even acknowledgment for the other person (their paying client) on the line.
I am now stranded at Thessaloniki airport with a toddler and a 13 year old and my husband, and have no way of renting from any other car rental company at this hour.
I tried calling the number in Spain again but it said the lines close at 10pm.
It appears that we have been magnificently and royally scammed.
Even though I had replied instantly to their cancellation notification, over 12 hours before, they never rectified the situation and kept ignoring me. They seem to intend to keep the money and did not supply any car.
I have no choice but to continue posting in every place I can so as to help others not to land themselves inadvertantly in the same situation. I will also be taking legal and police advice locally and in the EU as I see from other reviews that this is happening on a very wide scale.

On 19th April 2023 I booked a car with B-RENT via CARJET. At the time of the booking I paid 270 EUR with a DEBIT CARD ISSUED ON MY NAME AS REQUESTED BY THE COMPANY / POLICY. On the 1st June 2023 after a long trip we finally made it to Cagliari airport, sure that we are going to have our car. However, upon pickup, the booking was refused, because we did not have a credit card. So, even though CARJET, on behalf of B-RENT was only too happy to charge the deposit on my DEBIT card, the very same card was refused by B-RENT employee for payment completion, saying they only accepted credit cards (?!) - I want to stress here that my card had enough money to cover the booking and the holding safety deposit for the car.
Now, I can't help but thinking that this lack of consistency is misleading and fraudulent to say the least. If you accept my debit card (i.e. You charge me 270 EUR in April) then you can't refuse that very same card at pick up (2 months afterwards). I couldn't help but notice, that the two (very unfriendly) agents at the desk were arguing with every client there, and for some flimsy reason or another, were refusing cars to everyone.
Morale of the story, CARJET ROBBED US OF 270 EUR and left me and my partner without a car, stranded on the airport even though I had booked my car 2 months in advance. Thank God we didn't have a child with us!
A special mention goes to MARIA, THE DESK AGENT - she was rude, obnoxious, unhelpful and unable to own up TO THE COMPANY'S FAULT. It is hard for me believe that this is not A SCAM, where they charge people for their deposits, but then don't release the cars.
P.S. I attempted to call customer service but absolutely nothing was done at their end, actually cutting off my call halfway through!

On 22/10/2023 I rented a car through the intermediation site carjet.com to be used in Dubai for the period from 05/04/2023 to 11/04/2023. This website directed me to a car from the HERTZ company, and we agreed to pick up the car at 00:00h and deliver it at 22:30h. Amount involved and paid: 349,19€.
Additionally I also made through carjet.com a protection insurance of any event with the car to avoid potential excesses in the total amount paid of 43,60€.
On the day of the beginning of the rental, my flight was delayed, so I could only arrive at the HERTZ counter at 02:00 a.m. to pick up the car. When they analyzed my documentation it was their understanding that my driving license did not have the necessary conformity with Dubai law, so it was agreed with HERTZ:
- That I would change the contract, this time in my wife's name, using exactly the same vehicle for the same exact period of time, but that it would cost me a little more since it was being done at the last minute;
- I would take out an additional insurance policy, and the previous one would be cancelled, since there was no valid car rental agreement underlying it.
Soon that day I contacted the carjet.com giving account of the happened and informing that HERTZ had agreed to substitute a contract for the another similar to the initial one, not incurring therefore in any loss and that the insurer also would not incur in any risk, as the insurance support contract would not exist.
I was, then, waiting for carjet.com to charge me a small fee for the intermediation work developed - in fact, that is a site with comparison algorithms so the "developed work" is practically null -, but to return the value relative to the services not incurred nor rendered: the rental of the initial car in my name and the additional insurance relative to that rental.
Now, to my complete surprise, carjet.com, alleging irregularities in the formalisation, refuses to return the amount illegitimately charged for services that were not provided. This position is totally shameful because HERTZ did not incur any expenses - the car was indeed rented for the exact period contracted - and the insurer did not incur any risk - the contract that should insure ended up not being formalised!
I therefore demand the return of the payments made to carjet.com, totalling EUR 392.79, and the outrageous practices of this company should also be condemned and its actions investigated to verify other situations of total disregard for the consumer, as can be seen in many reviews placed in sitejabber.com

I hired a car from CarJet/OK Mobility Ref CJT-******* very recent in Dubrovnik aiport.
1st of all, their scam of putting price very very high ( almost 3 times) 3 to 4 week before and keeping sending emails with no refund special offer. I paid £906 for 2 weeks so called a SUV ( Which it wasn't and I will talk about it) when 2 days near the flight time, the price dopped down to normal price round £400. They scam people with no refund special offer so you panic and book like I did.
For the SUV part, They give me KIA STONIC. THIS IS NOT AN SUV. The reason I booked SUV because my wife suffer from severe arthritis and she can't go low to sit. STONIC is VERY VERY LOW and NOT AN SUV.
She suffers for 2 weeks and she stopped getting out to places. Also the Ok Mobility car hire they want to charge custemr for breakdown. I hired cars several times and breakdown MUST BE INCLUDED.
Also OK Mobility send and email for review which the link takes you to a page error ( An error occured try again later. And I sent a complain review to carJet twice and no reply.

I booked a car for a very convenient price, i got the confirmation numbers and all in the reservation process was smooth. Since i was a bit unconfidend with it, due to the low price, few days before the supposed pick up i called the customer service to check, and they confirm me the reservation and reassured me about pickup steps.
When It was the day to have the car nobody show up, i called the rental company and they told me that my reservation was canceled. After that i called carjet customer service and It took more than 1hour to get in touch and have a replay, replay that was "we are sorry but your reservation was canceled and we can only give you a refound..." they don't even took the time to ring me to explain and or apologise and help to find a solution, It was just a short text via mail. Lukly i was able to find another car by my self because It is not pick season, and It Is a very turistic area, but still for a much higher price. Carjet and its customer service, just suck and not only because It is kind of impossible to get in touch with them, but because they din't do nothing about my problem and left me complitly alone. After 15days i still struggle to get in touch with them because nobody replyed to my several mails and the refound Is still not done and i suppose to involve a lowyer to have It done. NEVER BOOK WITH THEM
