They use this garbage company... Carlos is not only rude, entitled, and snobby. He kept over talking me and thought I didn't catch his name. They charged the AMEX $2400. 00 X3 TIMES! He said it will be refunded but 2 charges went through and I didn't receive the other gift card. He said in process of returning the other trying to blame the bank... Sorry but amex is fine theres a high limit for this guy to be an actual douche about it making excuses instead of helping made me tell him at the end to go F himself because he said he could not help me and needed to terminate the call. FIRE THIS GUY. Privilege for you to even be in this country

I bought a 26$ roblox gift card for an item and "Cashstar" charged me 4 times (all pending). I already redeemed my code and I've only recieved ONE code even though it charged for 4 codes. If I refund all the charges my Roblox account would get terminated for "unauthorized purchases".

I also purchased a 250$ giftcard for Roblox again and they charged me without me receiving it. Luckily customer service was nice and I got a refund.

This company is borderline fraudulent. After these situations (which happened one after the other) I will never purchase anything from this company ever again and I recommend you don't aswell.

Bought my wife a $500 gift card for Chico's through Cashstar. My wife went to use it and the balance was $3.83.
We called Chico's and Cashstar. They said an online order was placed and shipped to an address that was not ours. Neither
Company will give us the order information nor refund our money. They are both worthless.
Wish I had read their reviews before buying the gift card.
Will never use Cashstar again nor will my wife ever shop at Chico's again. Neither company could care less about their customers

Waiting and waiting

I purchased over $450 worth of gift cards I thought through Texas Road house. They were to be given as Christmas gifts to distant relatives. I ordered them December 8, it's now December 22 and still no cards. They won't give you a tracking number. I have emailed and even tried calling them. NO ANSWER. I have talked to Texas Road House and they don't even have any information. But they sure deposited that money quick. I also ordered gift cards from Ulta and Logan's found out they use the same Cash Star. Haven't heard from them either. These companies need to know how bad this service is. If I could have given them a minus five it would have been too good.

I purchased an e-gift card for my son & daughter-in-law's birthdays from IKEA.
They never received the e-gift card but Cashstar immediately withdrew the $200.00 from my checking account. I called to cancel the e-gift card and requested a refund. Still no refund in my checking account. When I call Cashstar, I get some story about "they" will escalate my request for refund. But ask them who "they" are or that I want to speak to "they" and told that's not possible. What a joke! These brand name merchants should not deal with this scam company.
I'll never trust another store's gift cards again.

WARNING. DO NOT BUY

Purchased a $200 gift card as a present. Took it to BestBuy to use and they said they do not accept giftcards from "3rd Parties". CashStar customer service is ridiculous. Submitted ticket for refund over a week ago, received email confirmation of ticket submitted -then nothing. I thought i was buying this from BestBuy

Well seen the reviews so had to test it out with my PayPal account instead of bank card. I paid for robux gift card for daughter $10 and it has sent the confirmation. My payment was 1 time fee no third party so this is an good place to buy gift cards love it.

Bought gift card through Williams Sonoma that actually went through CashStar. Left letter out of email and after five attempts, two online and three phone, with no response cancelled my payment. I cannot believe Williams Sonoma associates with this company.

I will rate this company a "1" because that is the lowest number available. I purchased a Home Depot gift card for my BRO's birthday and received confirmation. Four days later, zero balance and Home Depot could not find any information as it was sold by Cash Star. I read other reviews and have determined this is a common thing with this company. Had I known earlier that I was not dealing with Home Depot directly, I would never have purchased. Fooled me once - never again! JS! :(

I should've known this was a scam. I purchased a $10 Roblox gift card and I waited a few hours thinking it would come through. It didn't. I contacted CashStar and they're saying my order was unable to process. I recommend you don't buy from this fraudulent company. Now i have to focus on getting a refund.

I don't think I've ever encountered a company that flat out refuses to take my money. I have tried to buy Roblox giftcards through them multiple times now. Each time, the transaction goes through and I get charged. But then, I get an email saying a refund has been issued and my transaction was cancelled. This happened 5 or 6 times, with different credit and debit cards. Apparently, this has been happening to a lot of people. I emailed their customer service, and they said to talk to Roblox's customer service. So, I emailed Roblox's customer service, and they told me to contact CashStar's customer service. I emailed CashStar again, but never got a response the second time. It's like they have no desire for my business.

Will never use again.

I made a purchase for a $100 gift card today. Immediately after I submitted my payment, I wanted to modify it. I could not find a phone number, so I emailed Cashstar to cancel my order. Their email response was that they do not offer cancellations or changes to an order. Needless to say this is not fair to a consumer, who needs to modify an order I will never use Cashstar again.
Also, it is a challenge to submit this review!

Your company is pathetic I ordered a e-gift card for Best Buy didn't realize I was ordering through a third party vendor, Placed order for card online got receipt email then said in a separate email after that e-gift card can't be processed. Now waiting on my money to be returned. Spoke to customer service they can hardly speak English. Same On You Best Buy Jack Asses, leadership should fire whom ever came up with that idea of using this pathetic company.

Rude customer service

I called their customer service with the question of a bestbuy gift card I purchased, a indian accent guy can not answer it. Then I want to know how they work with bestbuy, he still cannot answer it. What he did is just telling me he cannot locate my account, and simply hang up my call. I feel so confused why he acts so rude.

I' ve bought a giftcard for roblox for my son and accidentally wrote wrong e-mail address. I've let them know immediately via contact form, and never got an answer, of any kind, and it's been almost a month since the first form. I wrote them again and it's the same. Dont they have some legal obligations to respond to inquiries

DON'T ORDER FROM THEM

Purchased an online uber giftcard. Received an email that the transaction had been processed and would receive the e-card shortly. Instead, I received an email that there was a problem "capturing payment"(even though the funds had been taken out of my account) and that I had to call in. Spent the next 3 hours on hold being switched around to different employees who were all unable to help me. I finally received the giftcard more than 10 hours after I ordered it. I had to contact Uber for assistance, as every single person that I spoke with at Cashstar was useless.

Surprise! Another shady company doing shady business using customers money to fund their crappy business. Unfortunately when I tried to buy a Lululemon gift card on the Lululemon website I must have overlooked where it tells you that their e-gift cards are through Cash Star. So now, over a week later, my declined transaction is STILL being held by Cash Star…it took but minutes for the transaction to decline so why the funds have not been released is really pissing me off, especially now that I've reached out to the customer service team multiple times, and each time they tell me someone will contact me via email within only a few hrs. No one ever contacts you via email, so you call again, now this is your 3rd attempt at getting an answer, and they tell you the same old story. So I asked; what is the next step when no one contacts me? Well just play this same game every day over and over? Well apparently the guy didn't have the answer because he made quite the laughable attempt at pretending the phone was breaking up, I'm talking an elementary attempt at it, despite no issues with connection up until then. $#*!ing crooks

I received a $200 Prepaid mastercard that was tampered with - the numbers were removed from what appeared to be a closed package. After speaking to many different departments and agents I ended up at CASHSTAR - Whaat I nightmare. The agent, douglas, came on the line with attitude even before we exchanged 2 words. After explaining my situation and submitted an inquiry I asked him "what role does CashStar play in all this because I went through numerous agents beginning at Mastercard and somehow landed with you" He rudely responded that was a question that the escalation department would have to answer. If you're a legitimate company, why can't a service employee respond to that question. He REFUSED to answer and refused to transfer me to a supervisor when I asked. By the end of the call, He hung up on me! I'll be sure to share this experience with everyone in my network! Avoid. Prepaid Cards and put these guys out of business. Id be lucky to get any kind if resolution from them

I purchased an e-giftcard through bestbuy.com, the gift card was never delivered, this company will not answer the phone and somehow the call is always disconnected. They will not issue any refund and refuse to correct the problem, but had no problem taking the money out of my account immediately. Best buy can not fix any issues with e-gift cards and direct all calls to the scam company. With a reputation like best buy I do not understand why they would associate themselves with a company like cashstar. Cashstar, do the world a favor and go out of business, file for bankruptcy, and dont come back.
