I signed up for what looked like a one-off AI course, only to be charged $136 AUD a month later. Nowhere during the sign-up process was it clearly stated this was a recurring subscription and that they would charge for 3 months after the first month. I would never have signed up for it. When I reached out, I was pointed to the terms and conditions — the usual "sorry, it's in the fine print" response. No refund, no goodwill, and no acknowledgment of the confusion caused by their misleading presentation. After a bit of research, I discovered I'm not alone. It seems many others have been caught by the same vague and opaque process. If your business model relies on customers not understanding what they're signing up for, that's a serious problem. I value transparency and integrity — especially in the education space. Sadly, I can't recommend Coursiv based on this experience.
I came across *Coursiv* through repeated Instagram ads and finally gave in, especially because they advertised a "100-day money-back guarantee." That turned out to be completely misleading. During the purchase, the app pushed additional features. One showed as a *gift* with a price of\$0, so I accepted it. Then another popped up with a price tag—I skipped that. But afterward, I saw **two charges** on my account: one for **\$39** and another for **\$49**. I immediately contacted support and explained everything, expecting a refund for the unexpected charge. They coldly responded that based on their *terms and conditions,* no refund would be issued. So much for the "money-back guarantee." It feels like they intentionally trick you during the checkout process. The so-called *free gift* was clearly labeled\$0, but they still charged me—and I have no way to prove what I saw. After this incident, I checked their reviews and found that **many others had similar experiences.** I'm extremely disappointed. I was genuinely excited to use this app, but now I just feel scammed. Please **do your research before buying**. I wish I had. Companies like this take advantage of good, honest people, and it's not okay.
