“I don't know why people are saying it's bad...”

Lydia S.
1/19/21

Most of the people saying it's 1-star are just people who hate math and reading, which is understandable... but would you rather do IXLMath where it does NO explaining, NO help, just "you got this wrong and I'm not gonna tell you why."? I thought not. You can get coins from lessons to play games, and it gives you a break in the middle of tests. They explain your incorrect answers, and it adapts to your level of reading/math. It's not really as bad as people are saying it is!

“An amazing torture machine from the middle ages!”

Bored of torturing your student through the good old fashioned way? No worries because I ready is the most modern and innovative way to kill your student's last brain cells! An amazing gift for teacher's day!

Iready i the absolute worst ive had to go through pretty much 5 years of school for the up and it is terrible. If you get 3 maybe 4 questions wrong you have to go through the instruction, Practice, And quiz again. And it dosent teach you anything it gives you the same lessens just with different math, i have no idea why teachers made students do this piece of crap. I feel really bad for future students who have to go through this pain. Please ban iready theres no point of it excisting if people hate it a lot. Just delete it And save children suffering today.

Iready is super slow and boring. I couldn't even get through HALF of a lesson without feeling like I was going mentally insane. And despite all these terrible reviews, public schools make this monstrosity required. And if you don't get a question right it makes you feel stupid. And if you leave and come back later I guarantee you will forget everything about the lesson and fail. Iready is overall the worst learning platform I have ever seen.

Its so dumb that teachers assign at LEAST FIVE lessons a week. You answer the right question and it says your wrong! It is so stupid, and annoying. You have to have serious patience to complete ONE lesson.

Its bad

Years ago, i-Ready was easy for me. It helped me a lot with my subjects and helped me passed. You can change your avatars back then. The old i-Ready had a lot of cool features back then.
(If you like i-Ready and it isn't hard for you, I respect your opinion)

But now, it's just stressful. First of all, when you get a score lower than 67%, you have to redo it again and it will take another hour to do it again. Another reason it is stressful is because, of too much screen-time it causes students to have headaches. My little cousin and my brother uses i-Ready and they hate it and it's really stressful for them. One of my teachers uses i-Ready but they don't realize that it's bad for me and my classmates. (

So teachers, if you are planning to use i-Ready, don't do it, it will make your students hate it and it will be stressful to them.

I've been using this program for more than 5 years, through elementary and middle school. Our own school even has a time for this program. Honestly, it's better for some testing program, not for some idiotic lessons. I'm tired of this website and would like some change. The people who do say it is good, good for you. But it is not suited for me.

Why is iReady so bad for you just read this
I-Ready causes stress for students and does not teach anything to students, is a big waste of time and has no benefits. It can cause hours of time to get past the tutorial of 1 lesson. Not to mention, usually teachers assign at least 5 lessons of I-Ready a week.

We live in a republic. We have freedom and liberty. Everyone loves freedom of speech. This website doesn't equal liberty or freedom at all. $#*! this $#*!ty website. The cutscenes are a waste of time and the cutscenes are annoying as $#*!. Tell the little $#*! [the CEO of I-Ready] this: "$#*! you I hope you burn to ashes. 5000 years of human evolution just to get a $#*!ing greedy $#*! $#*! to exist." Because of this website, Kids at schools where they have to do I-Ready such as my school are upset. This website is even worse than Reflex. Even though the pause button doesn't work on Reflex, at least it didn't cause depression! The characters never shut the $#*! up like just get to the point already. Again $#*! you I-Ready CEO and $#*! all I-Ready lovers.

It does not help students in any way because it makes you learn it over and over again and it just makes students want to kill themselves. Making students suffer through 45 minutes of i-ready a week is just abuse and should be outlawed.

Iready teaches students so much! This program is amazing! And it is easy yet has an adjustable difficulty! But the only ad thing I can say is that the diagnostic is hard to use and resets frequently so th students have to do the work all over again! But overall, I really like it and would recommend.

In my 8 years of being in school, I haven't had a much worse experience with iReady. It's boring and for all its worth, I haven't learned anything in the years I've been forced to use this absolute travesty of an "educational" program.

The fact that IXL may be better than iReady really shows how trash this program is.

I ready melts children's brains. It's very dehumanizing and it makes grades go down instead of up as it claims. It kills minds and is a complete waste of money and time for schools. I am a 7th-grade student and I feel my grades drop because I ready, having to do lessons on top of long lessons of cartoons dancing around like we are 5 instead of actual work we would learn from is completely and utterly stupid.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use it.

This app is horrible, when its not crashing because you have a second tab open, its giving you lessons that you fail and giving you lessons more difficult than the last. I do not recommend this app to anyone, and if you do have it you should delete it. I highly recommend that schools should stop using it.

DUDE. I HATE this trash site! The characters sound SUPER annoying and they are literally just opening and closeing their mouths! And one time I got a 70% and i had to redo the test because i got one question wrong. I am waring you if you have not been on this site yet DON'T! I hate it more than you can imagine possible. And the questions are so darn easy it pains me.

I have gotten the same questions since 4th grade, i am currently in 8th grade and can do several tests from memory. It treats me like im 5 and is physically painful to use. I am writing this instead of doing iready for school because i will learn more from reading these reviews than i will from spending 3 hours doing iready. If you get an iready assignment just dont do it; it is a waste of your time and will make you want to commit arson in their server room. Honestly just read some articles on this actual hellsite.

I ready is so annoying and hard! Its both of those things because 1: my mom made it so that if i get less than 80%, i have to do it over or do another one! 2: If I get ONE Question wrong it gives me a 75 or 67! 3: I have anger issues! 4: It makes me deppresed.

I am in fifth grade and I think that this is a waste of time. It is very stressful and the learning games are not even close to fun. Mypath is very hard and doesn't teach students anything because it is very repetitive. I don't recommend, it is mentally painful to us students.

As a student, I stress over these assignments. They are absolutely demolishing our mental health. Also pro tip to the creators. If you are going to make assignments for 7th graders and 8th graders, then stop using characters that act like we don't understand what 2+2 is. Here are some more concerns from my fellow peers.
" What is it even teaching us?"
" We've been doing the same thing over and over for to long."
" Can't they see us?"
It is also very creepy that they literally watch you if they want to.

This site when you finish an assigmnemt does not turn the assignment in. Also, the paragraphs and essay that you read about do not state the positive facts, or what subject is from a different point of view. I have been using iready for two years and have noticed this. The assinments that you read don't give good info, only stuff that would turn you against what there reading about. I think instead of just showing negative point of views and points they should really include more info about the main subject.

Honestly I-ready is slow enough to take hours for more then 2 lessons and has animation that I could probably make within minutes in flash but even with it already lulling people to sleep it then says POP QUIZ except if you get 2 of the answers wrong you need to do not only the quiz but the lesson as well. Honestly it wouldn't even be that bad if it had some sort of way to skip the animations but instead they are required and slow as all hell. And it's not even like it helps that much academically because while it's supposed to improve grades because it makes you smarter instead it usually just means that you got a grade for completing it.

I am a student who's teacher has assigned iReady multiple times. This app is horrible. In the middle of every diagnostic it has a unskippable video thats really annoying and plays every single $#*!ing time. The people in the video are annoying, the exercises are annoying and everything about it infuriates me. The questions also don't even match my level, even after I take the diagnostics. $#*! iReady.
