Racist, biased website!
December 20, 2021

This site is totally racist, and targets Black artist... ESPECIALLY Black men that choose to post nudes! I have seen PLENTY of non Black deviants with porn pics, erect penises, women spreading their vagina, and even a few showing penetration, and body fluids! They're allowed to remain, yet as soon as I post a nude, they remove it, even though I label my photos as mature! I feel unfairly targeted by this site, and honestly it should be shut down if this is their M. O!

Terrible art site
July 6, 2021

Deviantart is a terrible art site. The site is very toxic. There are trolls, spam accounts, bullying, and art thieves. Also the help desk is useless. The moderators are bad at their jobs. The bullying, and inappropriate behavior continues on the site. What's out of control is the kind of art people are submitting as well. There is cp on the site, uncensored porn, and tons of fetish art.

My daily haunt
December 5, 2012

My daily haunt. I love the community here. This is a wonderful place to share my art freely and with minimal interference. Constructive criticism and nice people make this a wonderful place to share and enjoy art.

Site built up on using your desperation and dangling carrot of hope to make you upload and create free art they then ignore and somehow still manage to monetize.

All these 'artist' websites are all barely a step above bb message boards, no matter how many flashy badges and useless trite they pile on top. Terrible database, terrible search functions, we only care about new and hot and popular, undiscovered shows you popular art anyway, groups are narcissistic pools of nothing which you have to beg to get into, and in return you get ignored like everywhere else...

Save yourself the trouble. It's all a scam and a shil, every single one of these communities. You'll get less trauma and anxiety from shovelling dead bodies into a mass grave than dealing with this. Predators preying on desperation and using false hope to keep you a punching bag. You'll sooner make it selling art at a bus stop.

Thank you, DeviantArt, thank you for making the life of a common artist as painful and miserable as is possible.

Cool site
March 19, 2012

Cool site. You can see view all kinds of art, photography, etc. The greatest feature is that it's a great place to find photoshop actions, and plugins. Users upload them regularly, and they are pretty useful. Any artist and or art fan should visit this site at least once, it's a very trustful site, and I have been using it for 8+ years.

I have used Deviantart.com for quite some time now. I recently discovered a new way to use the site, and that is to browse through other portfolios that offer figure modeling. There are quite a few that offer many different poses and photos that you are allowed to use for your own art. There are so many things you can do using the community, and that is one of the things I've always loved about DA.

DeviantArt needs to be shut down permanently by the FBI and Interpol. The staff and its moderators have refused to listen to its user base, have been removing and relocating deviations due to copyright and other violations, and have suspended or permanently banned users. The site is also full of cyberbullies, and art theft has been rampant. They should know that there are autistic people on the internet, including those who have ADHD and bipolar disorder. You don't treat people that way.

The site even also allowed AI art, since AI is known to mess up hands and feet and destroy/mess up the text. We need to know that AI art is not here to stay and needs to cease to exist immediately as you rarely see human-created content. I hope the staff and its moderators end up in prison for 24 months and five years of supervised release for user corruption and failure to listen to its user base. We need a website that can hide AI-generated images or not allow any AI-generated images at all.

I wouldn't recommend this site for some viewers or to those who love to write, do photography, or any art hobby. My parents have a concern for those who are on that site like there could be sexual predators or pedophiles that could be posing as a girl, or guy. It depends. You have to be careful on this site I had trouble with cyber bullies. And it can be difficult referring to some safety concerns.

A site for weebos
July 8, 2017

Is this really supposed to be a site for "artists"?
All i can see on the front page is kid paintings made in MS Paint. That's art?
Really? And these beauties get hundreds of views, likes, etc.
I was browsing for realistic art, and found quite a few... but they had almost 0 views, comments, no likes, favorites or anything.

How is it that a drawing, that someone spent hours of work on to make it so very detailed that it looks almost real, is not appreciated...
But a sketch of a talking anime pony is viewed as the greatest masterpiece of all time? LMAO.

Oh... and talking about "art"... a lot of poeple upoad selfies here, and pictures of their $#*!, vagina. Some photoshops it, so it must be art! (wow! Amazing!)
Next time I get a $#*! pick on a dating site, I will be happy to receive such a "piece of art". LOL.

This $#*! and her friends trolled me, reported me and got my account suspended. This Is not the first time these people have trolll people. Look at their previous post. If you're still at deviant art, troll these people and report them for trolling other usernames and pissing them off.

Went downhill
December 30, 2015

I've been on and browsing dA since around 2006. It's not the same site.
Unless you do fanart or fetish art you'll get buried. There's not quality control, so you can open MS Paint, draw a smiley and potentially get more exposure than someone who actually worked on their art.
There's still some great artists, but it's too easy to get lost in utter $#*!e.

Suffers from a lot immature drama, people who don't want any artistic critism, and tons of lolcows and white knighting.

I was deceived by DeviantArt after I bought a large, 30x40 inch printed image (Rainbow Metatron's Cube), worth about 63 Euro, made by Lillyas (https://www.deviantart.com/lilyas/shop/ prints).
I received an incomplete image, cropped on the sides, without any value.
Both the author, Lily Andrea Seidel and the seller, DeviantArt, consider it a mistake, and refuse to replace the broken, already paid product.
It is clear that both DeviantArt and Lily Andrea Seidel cheated me and took my 63 euros abusively.

I'm user for a year, and DeviantArt is fun, but there are some things I got for you:

1: Beware of 'PornLinks', By that I mean, I met about 4 accounts who had month from creating and were created by people from Pakistan and were used to put links to porn sites in comments on other accounts.

2: ShareZone: You can go 'Jail' for unknown reason, and some people can be a bit rude.

3: Art that you prefer to not see. I mean when I've been on really good My Little Pony art, In 'More From DeviantArt" I saw Fat shaking asses. Without age restriction. I'm 16, and I don't want to see that, and that Pony art didn't had any relatives with it. There's ART, Not PORN...

4: I met Trolls. Like always.

5 To don't get misunderstood, Think twice before you comment..

The idea is good, users are the problem. There's no friendship, no willingness to help eachother, no real love for art. All I see is people licking eachother's asses just to earn a feature, a prize, some points. They just want to make money, asking others to pay for their work and expecting people to draw for them for free. Everyone is always ready to grab some money, but when you ask for an advice, for a favour, for some kindness, there's no living soul in sight.
To make matters worse, once I made a thread on the forum, asking people to sign some petitions against animal cruelty and... guess what? They flagged it. They insulted me, said that "this place should not allow vegans"(which I'm not...) and called a moderator who instantly closed and flagged my thread. I asked for explanations and all he said was "you broke the rules".
Everyone claims to be open minded, to welcome diversity and news, everyone sides with gay, trans, black people...
None of that is real.
What a fake fake fake, ridiculous surface.
(What could be) a beautiful community, polluted and rotten by leeches and vultures and clowns.
Ew.

Getting my auto ship food this past delivery was a horrific experience, I am sad to say. First attempt initially was lost in transit and I had to call for a replacement. My second arrived (pics sent to rep and customer service) punctured, no box, with holes punched in the bag and appeared to have been tampered with. Again spent time emailing pictures and frantic about running out of food. Third bag... and it arrived again, outside the box, NOT air tight and also has holes in it. I was sent 2 4 lb bags to get Duke through. I must tell you I was beyond frustrated. I was no compensated for my time or hassle and honestly with the last error, the customer service agent acted like I was in the wrong. It was disappointing. I sent a very detailed email to customer service... including pictures, tracking information for UPS for YOUR convenience. No one has contacted me... besides this survey... or offered me any further information or support around what went wrong. This is concerning, given the reputation of life's abundance. Thought someone should know my experience. Thank you. 1

So sad to see the site move away from real art into a porn platform. They will not be seeing some of the best art out there because of this garbage posted.
Why?

DeviantArt is possibly my favourite website^^ It's full of absolutely wonderful and talented people, and everyone shares wonderful works of art, literature or games^^ You can also do RP with people, create a club of your interest, buy ACTUAL stuff with either money or points, there are sales with holidays or in general, etc. DeviantArt is, personally for me, one of the most used websites for me^^
