No veterans discount don't believe what they tell you I'm a Vietnam veteran get nothing go elsewhere
Dish is the bad service with zero customer service I don't recommend to anyone very poor customers skills never will resign with them
Wow 20.00 To ship back their equipment when I canceled the service, you figure that one out if you want the service.
Im only giving one star because zero stars in Not an option. I get better connections with a coat hanger. The on demand is worthless. The menu is stupid af. It takes literally 24 hours before I can watch a movie from on demand. Not good channels. I literally have to fix my TV daily because of issues.
Do not ever consider Dish as your TV provider. Their support comes from over seas and their customer service is the worst in the business.
I had their service for just 13 days with the service going out for 4 of those days. Rain SHUT IT DOEN twice and I lost service because of their equipment for 2 days. Customer service tried to fix it for 2 days telling me it was a programing or equipment problem.
Because of the lack of reliability, I asked to cancel my service. They apologized and told me I would not have to pay any service or CONTRACT FEES. The service was canceled and all equipment was mailed back.
1 month later I was charged over $500 for cancelation and contract penalties.
I contacted them and basically they told me they had no idea about anything about the above.
If you are dumb enough to except their service, DO NOT use credit or debit cards for their monthly payments.
Dish has the WORST STREAMING in the WORLD and I will tell you why.
ALL OTHER Streaming companies stream from the Cloud, you select something to record and it is available to stream from A CLOUD, not a hard-drive in your home.
If your DISH Box is down or your internet at home is down or if there is a storm, guess what NO STREAMING FOR YOU.
When it does work it is SLOW AS SLUGS and trying to back or forward is a guess at BEST.
DISH MOVE STREAMING to the CLOUD like the other 99.*******% of services do.
I only keep it because my wife has 200+ hours of Hallmark and Lifetime movies recorded.
I had a service man out yesterday. He was very neat, polite and extremely helpful
His name was DEREK!
He really knows how to take care of his customers. He not only fixed my problem, he fixed all the other potential problems that would arise. My picture never looked so clear.
Thank You Derek
Be careful! They snag you with a special offer, claim they have you on a 3 yr contract, than up the prices and tell you you're trapped due to the contract. They claim to have senior specials but, if one holds for the summer, they then charge you far more when you return! I would never get locked up with this service again.
Do not use auto pay. I use dish at my summer camp during the summer months and then cut it off during the winter. This year I called and told them to cut it off but they are still billing me. I called them and they refused to refund me even though it is their mistake. I'm going with direct next year.
So I been with dish 3 years live in Tennessee were the only ones who didn't get to watch the whole Dallas cowboys game totally unfair makes me wanna swithch
Max manager awe number very rude going back to direct tv been with dish about 15 years keep going up on bill and very rude people
Dish network took off our local TV station Fox and keeps saying we're in negotiations which has been weeks. Lies. They blacked out CBS, NBC,ABC until I called Dish and told them I filled with FCC then right then & there those stations except Fox 23 came right back on quick. FCC thought that was funny. They're checking into that too. I'm going to get an indoor antenna when that works I'm dropping Dish faster like Angela dropped Brad Pitt.
I just had the system setup. I record programs and watch as convenient. I found out they basically have no search engines. I have had about every service out there. Always have had the option to search for a program. My 16 yr out grandson could fix it for them.
It has taken me 3 hours to set mist of my programs up for recording.
I am still fuming that something so basic is not available.
Heck I called customer service and the poor guy tried bit no
Understanding
The worst company I ever deal. They are crooks and laiers. They only promise you things they can Neve accomplish.Same same same.DO NOT TRUST them. You going to waist your money.
I never really had a problem with dish, until I canceled the service. I had it set up on autopay to make things easy. When I called to cancel the service, just because I don't watch much TV anymore, they swore I was paid in advance and nothing else would come out of my account. I got a text two weeks later saying my payment would come out of my account. I called again and they assured me it would not come out. Although I asked repeatedly for emails to confirm what they were telling me, the refused to do so. Today $147.93 came out of my account from dish. Also the payment was hirer than it should've been. I call again, now I have to wait 24 hours and call back and cancel. Then hopefully they will put the money back in my account after 7 business days. Crappie way to do business. If you do happen to still want dish, never ever set up autopay. They will steal money as long as they can
When dish tells you there is a 24 month price guarantee. What they really mean is 24 month contract for service. Be very careful with what you agree to with them. I'm paying a early termination fee for what I understood as a month to month payment using my own equipment. Screw you dish. I won't ever be back. I should have learned the first time but I did it twice. There won't be a third. I noticed dish is loosing 8.7% of their customers yearly. Ask yourself why?
Dish had my credit card information upon closing account told me they would use said credit card information. Yet they send it to collection agencies. I had to call Dish to ask why they did that. Told they didn't have security code on back. Why they didn't inform me they need it. Instead.
Your promise by dish Network a $500 gift card at signing your contract but the card will come six to eight weeks after signing I'm on week 13 current bills are paid they waited and now I'm behind now they won't issue me the gift card that was promised to me to get the new gift card I have to bring my bill up to current and that it will take another six to eight weeks that'll be 16 weeks after signing but I may get my gift card sounds like they're an Indian giver I'll give you this gift card then I'll take it back!
For 20+ years we've not only been loyal customers but got many family and friends to sign up. For a few months they stopped sending us emails and text alerts about payment. Only to find out, they had been charging us $40 a month more than usual. When we called they just blew us off and wouldn't refund any of the amount. We dropped instantly. I took pictures of everything in the boxes that we were sending back. I knew with how they were acting, it was going to be a problem. Sure enough, they are saying we didn't return the Joey receiver even though it's in all the photos. They are now charging us $53. After arguing with them for over an hour and them still refusing to drop the charges, I'm just going to pay it and let the world know. Really? What would we need with a stupid Joey? Streaming services are the only way to go. Wish we would've done this YEARS ago! Saving us so much money now!
Switching to Dish Network this month was the worst mistake I've made in years. I can't watch on demand because "the box is too far from the modem", keep in mind the tv is connected to my wifi. Also i have to get up & walk to the tv to change inputs because "the remote must not be compatible with that tv (it's a sharp & i never had that problem with direct tv) so just ignore those buttons on the remote, they don't do anything". These are the responses i get when i ask for help. Don't consider getting Dish, it's awful & I'm stuck with them for 2 years.
Answer: Because it sounds great to have 1200 channels even if 1195 channels are nothing but infomercials, most people like me think wow I will have so many movies to watch I might have to record 5 while I watch 1 but after you get your 1200 channels you realize most every movie you would like to see can only be viewed if you pay an extra rental fee, another huge disadvantage to satellite tv is the frequency of commercials and the time the commercials are shown, regular tv used to be a 2 minute commercial break, dish network and directv have over 5 minute commercial breaks
Answer: Yes ive been with them for 15 years and when i said this is ridiculous the guy said 'OK' and nothing more they are terrible
Answer: They bait and switch with their supposed DVR recording option that they change to On Demand, making it impossible for you to watch what you thought you recorded.
