Be very careful if you decide to join. Its a guy on there that's a talent that say he can help you with you career. First he will friend you on Explore Talent after you do he will send you an email asking you to text him if you have any questions about auditioning. He says he been in this business for a while, says he met all these celebrities but doesn't have any proof. He will set up a time to call you asked about your pictures how pretty you are and says you need good headshot a and body photos. He will look up headshot photography around where you live and will say they do bikini/ lingerie and when you get the bikini/ lingerie to send it to him to see if your poses are what the industry are looking for. I refused he got very upset saying I'm foolish, I'm not going to make any money that he seen a lot of girls before it's not a problem. He also repeats what Tyra banks and other models have said before. It claims he's always at a audition but can't tell me what movie he has done. I learnt after all this that he isn't a pro member just looking for weak minded women's who are willing to do anything to be in the industry. I'm not one of them so I'm warning other women that he's a fraud and can't help you nor himself get into the industry. Ladies please be very careful

... As a guy who worked and works many movie and television sets, (including the pretty cool TV Hit HAWAII FIVE-O here in lovely HAWAII), I've NEVER heard of "Explore Talent". --- Bunch of obvious duechbags who leave messages about $800. To $2,200. Work days. SCAM ALERT. - - - NO REAL CASTING DIRECTOR IS GOING TO MAKE YOU SIGN IN... TO A PAY SITE.
- I JUST HOPE THE WORD SPREADS SO THEY DON'T CONTINUE RIPPING OFF HUNGRY uneducated NEWCOMERS.

Contact BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and or your local state FILM COMMISSIONER for advice.

If you're in Hawaii, California, NYC, or Massachusetts, feel free to hit ME up on my FACEBOOK page and I'll send you to a REAL Casting Director.

FILTHY SCAMMING CON ARTISTS LIKE NINE9/ONE SOURCE.
The 3-4 positive reviews are from PAID ACTORS. And just like Brennen Cooper in nine9, all the calls people get are by paid actors, if you make the mistake of going or paying, it will be a waste of time and money. When "Kathy" called me saying I have an audition, I was reading reviews while she was on the phone and just hung the $#*! up on her sad little $#*!. Don't do it.

When I first heard of explore talent I thought yes right?! Who pays to find their own work as a actor so I ignored them for about 3 years THENNNN I GAVE IN. I joined for 6 months was told a bunch of BS. I had to search for all my own jobs. So pretty much I paid Explire Takent for giving me a listing to look for my own work with no help from Explore Talent at all. THIS IS A JOKE. I KNOW A WHOLE LOT OF ENTERTAINERS..., MY HUSBAND IS A VERY FAMOUS SINGER AND TOLD ME TO BE CAREFUL JOINING. My bad... I didn't listen to him. They send you all these Text saying you can make 800 plus dollars on this famous actors movie and that famous actors movie and nothing never happened for me except pretty much me having to search for my own work and the one or maybe even two times something was sent to me were what's known in the industry as CATTLE CALLS! You can go to those from just looking on Craig's list. Lol. Explore stop it. ITS JUST NOT RIGHT TO FOOL PEOPLE. DONT YOU KNOW GODS WATCHING YOU?!

I agree, Scam
February 4, 2016

Now I see they're trying to actually change their name to Tech9, I started paying at the age of 17 when I started working and stopped paying at the current age of 19. Companies like these often change their name to hide their past identity. I've gotten a chance for being an extra from Catrette Casting, and learned this from other experienced background actors. If you have to pay for anything, most likely it's scam. I've been using Model Mayhem and been connected with a website where it sends you information on great opportunities, here's the link: http://www.auditionsfree.com/
And with Model Mayhem, you can do trade offs first to build your portfolio. You can also find jobs there. I have the free plan, because I don't see the point in spending more money. However, if you're trying to get into the acting industry it is advised to look up agents. You can do trade offs for head shots and sign up for agents. A real agent will be blunt with you and they will call you, you don't ever pay them because they get a percentage of the profit, so their job is to look for the jobs for you. I hope this might have helped some people out there. And those good comments? Yeah, I see the pattern of the wordings and their default pictures. Logically connecting the dots, they were paid people to post those comments. Better safe than sorry!

My husband received a voicemail today from a Las Vegas number saying that based off his photos he'd been chosen for a lead role in the new Fast Furious 8 movie. He never renewed his Explore Talent profile (it expired in 2015) so this was clearly a scam to get him to pay $288 to renew his profile for a full year. But here's the catch. In order for him to get the information for the audition he would have to pay the $288. They refused to give him any information unless he paid. As he's getting ready to give Maxi (the extremely rude rep who called) his credit card information I ran into the kitchen telling him not to do it. Any agency like this who makes you pay to get an audition is a scam. We had no proof that he would be even be guaranteed a role or get paid for auditioning. When speaking with Maxi later on the phone he explained that he didn't feel comfortable giving the agency money to audition for a role and that if the CD was serious about casting him, they could give him a call. She said "F$#@ you" and hung up on my husband.

Great business (eyes rolling sarcastically).
SCREW YOU EXPLORE TALENT! If you're reading this read the other reviews in addition to mine who all say the same thing. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!

I have always been told, you should never have to pay anyone anything until you've landed a role, anything or anyone that says you have to means you should go elsewhere. So against my better judgement February of 2015 I decided to pay the $120 fee to become a pro member. I figured since I wasn't doing very well on my own, maybe this would be better at helping me get started. When I initially started I did receive a few auditions and a call from my rep about once a week, which the consistency only lasted a month. Throughout the year I would receive maybe one email a month, if that. So yesterday (July 2016) I received a call about being want to audition for Transformers 5 and Wolverine 3. The lady I couldn't really understand her and she had a very thick northern accent. As she continued to explain she started to say the casting directors won't be able to contact you unless you become a pro member. She kept trying to force me to give her a credit card number, but after multiple times of me telling her I didn't have that information with me, she sat quiet on the phone for about 10 seconds, and just hung up on me! Very rude, and I think the whole thing was a waste of time to begin with, but she really was the straw that broke the camel's back.
