“Neutral - Outdated Interface”

Bruce J.
6/10/24

The Facebook interface feels a bit outdated and clunky compared to newer social media platforms. It could benefit from a refresh. I'm always a little worried about my privacy on Facebook. There have been a lot of data breaches and privacy scandals in the past, which makes me hesitate to share too much personal information.

Top Critical Review

“Groups”

Lottie H.
10/27/24

Facebook groups should never exist the algorithm is terrible and people downgrade others in some of the groups and get away with it. Facebook doesn't do anything about scam, spam and hackers but if a user post something facebook dislikes they get restricted. Facebook used to be a good way to connect with others but many misuse the platform

Whidbey Island Wives and Spouses Page. Avoid this Facebook page at all costs. They sensor every post, will not allow any feedback unless it's absolutely sunshine and rainbows. They refused to allow a post warning parents from using a certain child care because it was "negative." Ya, a child ended up with a severed finger... that's negative. There are way better pages for Whidbey Island Spouses to join where you don't have to have someone adult for you. Admin is a major control freak!

OMG, facebook is the number one global social networking website. Facebook allows its users to keep in contact with their friends old and/or new, i have found countless of my friends from old primary schools on the website. You can share photos, videos and add applications, providing you with hours of entertainment. I do not kno one person that isnt addicted to facebook, i log in first thing in the morning and its the last thing I look at before i go to bed. Additionally the website is so easy to use, infact if your not on facebook our considered strange as it has become the norm in society.

This one is a real jewel, mark the hacker was allowed to make a business to collect information about people and become a billionaire while the platform is used by hackers scammers and evil lowlifes to lie to make money reporting to Facebook staff did nothing about the issue of scammers because it's was mark doing the scamming or AI using the platform to learn how to scam. Nothing ever happens to corporate criminals just pay a fee to the corporate criminal government for being part of the plan.

I love facebook. I log in 5 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is great in meeting up with all friends and family. I like browsing around and checking on what's going on with my friends. It really keeps me up to date socially.

You just need to keep on tweaking your privacy settings I guess. Of course, you shouldn't post valuable information like your exact address, cc information, etc.

As for me, I maintain my profile as clean as possible by making sure that I only add people who I really personally know.

I got harassed by an older man (young woman writing) he replied to a comment of mine insulting and swearing at me, continued to belittle and degrade me, told me how glad he was to not meet/ speak to me any more, then repeatedly tried to get him to friend me so he could "speak privately to me" then deleted his comments and tried to gaslight me and other viewers into believing they were never there. Guess who got the 24 hour ban for calling him skeazy. Facebook - always on the side of bullies and abusers

Just in time for Election, Facebook begins heavily censoring conservative voices. Deleted my account and removed app. Here on out, I will spend time allocared to FB to do any damage I can (within legal bounds) to their interests.

Tip for consumers:
Dont bother unless an American hating scumbag, it will be a great place to circle jerk for all of you.

I was recently referred to this site for support as a child free by choice woman engaged to a single father. This site does allow women in my position to experience and express the authentic emotions that result for women in my position. I know this through reading the threads. I would never post anything in this one-sided source. We are told to essentially suck it up and quit being the wicked stepmother. Yet... a biomom is able to write a post wishing her ex would have a crappy marriage because she is jealous of the new wife. All responses in fact SUPPORTED this petty outlook and comment. Your organization is continuing to promote behavior and stereotypes like this. You have lost both my support and respect. No apologies from this gal.

Facebook is a great social networking site with so many ways to contact people. You can chat send messages video call write on each others profile its so easy. It also allows you to post and like content from out side of Facebook you can share websites video's all kinds of content. Not only that you can upload photo's and video's and tag family or friends.

Though Facebook is like all other social networks. Be wary of privacy just because you think you are safe doesn't mean you are. When you join Facebook at 13 security settings are controlled for you but some people may believe it gives of to much information to people who might not know you.

Also there are sometimes scams posted through Facebook which are small virus's like worms which then post the link onto your friends. Though its easy to stop it change your password and log off the log back on. This normally fixes but if it doesn't Facebook is there to help.

Do not take this a bad way as Facebook continuously is upgrading.

I personally don't mind it, I rather Facebook than "Tweeting ". I mainly use it to talk to friends or look up funny vids and whatnot. Sometimes dip into the selling part of Facebook but only with trusted buyers from groups! Apart from that what else would you use this for, it serves its purpose!

This site believes sharing credit card information and other 'private' data is ok. I did a facebook ad campaign about a year ago, and forgot I had entered my credit card information to pay for this service. It was NOT until my son used a gaming site, and hit the 'buy' credit button that I remembered. Yup, $100 later I learned a hard lesson. I sent several emails to facebook, as well as my local TV station did, searching for answers and some logic as to why this happened. Well, 2 months have gone by and NO response. Lesson learned, if it is on facebook they consider it public and sharable with whomever they choose, regardless of what information it is... Users be aware...

My facebook account seems to be jammed up. I suddenly do not receive any incoming posts that I signed up for. Instead, the page goes blank. I have even tried to deactivate my FB account, but when I click on "deactivate", nothing happens. I am not taken any further. Ergo, I am unable to use FB and am greatly disappointed tech service isn't offered.

Used to be an enjoyable site when it first came out. Not sure where it went astray. I can no longer tolerate their platform. They have turned in to total biased hypocrites. It is worse than teaching kindergartners. I think they need to be put out of business. They have done nothing but stir up racism, communism, hate, and pure evil.

The people who work there are fantastic, so helpful. And friendly.
They really do bend over backwards, and are so happy to see customers.

All the money goes back into keeping the place running and keeping them in work, so it really is a win win situation all round. It is on one of the side streets just off the moi market,

And make sure to try the hot stone massage.

I will admit, I visit the site multiple times a day. Over the years though, it seems facebook is getting reckless with user information and privacy. They also change the layout of the site way too much and make it a pain to set privacy and notification features. Advertising is starting to dominate this site and many of my friends are talking about leaving it now.

I'm one who doesn't care to be "tagged", in every photo which floats across Facebook's visage.
I'm not much a user, and just slightly uncomfortable others can splay my name all over the place. I feel exposed enough out there.

If you're concerned about privacy on Facebook and online in general, you can prevent your name from being suggested when Facebook recognizes you in a photo one of your friends posts.

NOTE: The setting we show you how to change here will only prevent your name from being suggested when your friends post pictures that include you. They will still be able to tag you in photos, they just won't get prompted to do so.

Here's what you do: http://bit.ly/1KQ5jGW.
Hope that helps someone.
Best,
Ron

You will be restricted just for sharing the truth. If it doesn't fit their destroy America agenda, you can't share it. Element is a much better social media, truth social is for the truth, however, I use Gab.org, better than the rest, no factcheckers, no bull$#*!. Leave Facebook alone, let them destroy theirselves instead of our country.

I've been using Facebook for years. So far I can only praise this social network, as it has given me many accomplishments. For example, I met my husband through this network, got a job, met new friends and managed to find friends from school who hadn't spoken in a long time. Work, getting a better price for my purchases and many other positive points that I could mention here.

If Facebook has your phone number as a security log-in identifier, you're gonna regret it.

FB manipulates your newsfeed, lies about response activity via email contact to you, feeds non-followed posts into your newsfeed, and messes with your ability to choose post responses.

It's not *you*- it's Facebook. The Third Reich of the internet.

Many billing issues for our ads account, wrong dates of adverts in the bills, wrong billing invoices. Tried to contact them through their website numerous times about these issues, but customer service was very vague and entirely unhelpful. Promised to phone me back numerous times but didn't. Customer service is very bad.

I do not trust this company. They have too much power. They believe they have the right to decide if facts are fake. It is a tragedy that they have been allowed to trample our constitutional rights. They need to be Boycotted forever and any other company that shares their suppressive values.

Facebook misconstrues things. I posted something that told why we need masks With referrals of why the right wing does not want to wear masks. The restaurant said that they have to pay a certain amount if they ask why and they have to pay more if they don't disagree. So this was pro mask wearing. Yet Facebook accuse me of endangering the public by breaking Covid rules. They totally missed it and kicked me off of Facebook for seven days. What a disgraceful organization. They are becoming more and more dangerous because they do not use Real people to monitor these things. I think Facebook should be closed down and people should find better places to go.

Tip for consumers:
Be careful what you say because they misunderstand these things regularly.

I am waiting for the HUGE class action lawsuit for the simple reason that fraudbook advertising clicks are mostly bots!

Do not advertise on FB, they are the biggest scam going. There has been many discussions in FB groups with people complaining about bots and these discussions all get deleted in a few days.

Soon enough, the FB advertising scam will be unleashed to the hungry lawyer wolves. And really, truly looking forward to the day!

I ordered 9 items from dress link only received 2 of those items and I have tried to contact someone about it with no luck. I also placed another order for 11 items and that order is missing 2 items out of it. When placing an order it says on the site they may separate orders so they ship faster as long as I have been waiting I believe this is a horrible place with dishonest people. That is 9 items not received I am NOT happy at all

Facebook I love you for keeping me connected to life. Unfortunately your lack of privacy has left me naked in front of a bay window with no blinds. I don't appreciate post that weren't posted by me, so if that can stop that would be great.
