Purchase this when it said, it covered rain, death accident, etc. well it poured down rain filed a claim won't give it back had friends that were going they did not purchases. They called the park and got a full refund from the park. Do not buy beware.
Do not trust them because I made the mistake of being honest and telling them I had to cancel my ticket because I had a mental health episode. I really did. I had one of my major panic attacks come on. And they wrote me back that mental health episodes are not covered! Meanwhile when you read the rules it says that any illness or injury inclusive of covid is covered. I received an email asking them for me to send them a PCR test for my covid and I told them I never had covid. It seems to me people are still obsessed with this covid nonsense. Who is still requesting a PCR test in 2023 almost 2024? So if I would have said covid I would have gotten my money back. Do not trust them! Now I'm stuck with my ticket. I'm disgusted.
They would not accept images of at home covid tests. They would not accept doctors notes or labs. What is the point? The policy is misleading by shorthanding "illness" in the texts and then putting "exception for pandemic/epidemic" in the Terms.
This company shouldn't be in business! The're rats in stilling people's money. I say that because I paid 30$ protection weather and a 10$ insurance fee in case I couldn't attend the event I was going to. I never got my refund. They make it so complicated and almost impossible to get your refund for the event you can attend. Unless you're dieing in hospital, or your loved ones, or unless you have ton of paper work proves why you can't go to the event. I lost 256$! Because my car won't start. I missed my flight. And they asking me for proves of mechanical repair, parts I bought, towing my car bills etc. It is a SCAM COMPANY! I actually can't call them a company either! Thwy don't stand behind customers satisfaction and protection! Rats! I hope this rat office will be closed soon! I came to write a review, and only than I saw, that it has such a bad and low rating. And I am not the only one very disappointed and dissatisfied with their service. Please don't buy anything through them! You will regret!
Don't trust fan shield. You're better off not getting insurance at all. You won't get your money back either way
They are trying to use every inch of space not to pay.
I have got a flat tire on my way to show. And had to change it with my spare.
I already bought new tires 3 days prior to purchasing the tickets. But not yet have them installed.
Even though I have proof of purchase of my new tires, they still didn't pay.
I wish bad karma on them. Hope they will go bankrupt soon.
Car broke down so I tried to get a refund on my entry ticket. I can see now I should have not bought this. Now it is million questions time. Can't get the car in for a bit yet due to busy time of year. They collect fast but try to avoid their commitment
I requested a refund to be issued due to me getting sick and being positive for COVID-19. I provided a doctor's note stating that I was out sick for 5 days and not able to attend the event due to be very sick. This company is a joke. My request was denined due to the company not covering a pandemic. THIS IS NOT A PANDEMIC, I WAS SICK FOR DAYS. This company is okay with their customers going to events ill and exposing others to possibly become ill themselves. I did everything I was suppose to do with providing supporting documents with my doctor's visit and still this company failed me. I go to concerts and other events very regularly and NEVER needed to utilize my insurance plan until now. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE AN INSURANCE PLAN FROM THEM EVER AGAIN. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY AS THEY WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY EVEN IN AN ACT OF AN ILLNESS OR EMERGENCY.
FanShield would not reimburse me for tickets for my aunt's funeral due to her passing away more than 30 days (35 to be exact) prior to the tickets. Her funeral was scheduled on the date of the event.
Be prepared to pay more for the protection, and then if you need it, be prepared to not get your money back. I had a qualifying event that required cancellation and refund. They requested letterheads and notes from supervisors to get my money back. Then when I provided it, they stated that I could only get my money back for my ticket. My date no longer wanted to go to the game without me. Now I'm in a dispute to try and get that ticket refunded since my situation had changed. Garbage service. Garbage policies. Now I'm taking time to handle my situation and try to get my money back that I paid the protection for. Do not buy this add on.
Do not use this company. We used their Stayshield product to cover a hotel stay. Situations change and we had to cancel. They denied the claim due to 'insufficient' documentation. A complete rip off!
They would not cover our claim even due to a miscarriage. What a pathetic company. Total scam and not worth the money.
I purchased the FanShield ticket protection for two rodeo tickets for myself and my wife. I am 78 and my wife 68. On the date of the rodeo, there was an extreme weather warning advising that senior citizens should avoid outdoor events due to the extreme heat. I took that advice along with my cardiologist to not expose myself to these conditions. I filed my claim for a refund from FanShield and was told that I had to have a note from my doctor to be able to be getting a refund. They went as far as to quote the Arizona statute about fraudulent claims, indicating that I was trying to file a false claim. I also sent them the NOAA weather report for the date of the rodeo which clearly stated that an extreme weather alert was in effect. If you buy ticket insurance from FanSheild be prepared to be subjected to a denial because of the ridiculous requirements that you must meet to get your money back.
I was denied a request for a refund that I applied for because I'm not going back to my teaching job in the fall and also because I'm a very recent survivor of lung cancer. Still, they denied my request. I gave them a chance to make it right by disputing it, but I couldn't even hear the crickets. Save your money. They are dishonest.
I attempted to get a refund a week in advance of a concert due to a medical issue that arose. Without boring you with the details, they asked why I bought the tickets AFTER having a medical procedure (cataract surgery), which resulted in complications that prevented me from attending the event. I provided documentation from a doctor. After a few back and forths they seemed to be resigned to the fact that they would be giving me a refund. Then they asked about my "relation" to the second ticketholder. I said girlfriend and said that she wouldn't be going to the concert herself. THEN they actually asked "Are you domestic partners?" WTF does THAT have to do with anything. I got frustrated and said if it is too complicated to understand why she isn't going that they can just give me a refund for one ticket. After all this craziness they wound up giving me a full refund. But this was after a few times sending me an email saying my request was denied. Only because I kept on getting them documents did I wind up getting it and I was surprised it even happened.
So do yourself a favor and do NOT deal with this scam-worthy company unless you're prepared to pretend you're a lawyer providing "evidence" for your request.
Fanshield is a joke. They are not worth it. Went back and forth via email and did not provide the type of experience I was expecting from an insurance provider. Their goal is to make sure you don't get a refund.
I used this insurance on a hotel I booked. I made a mistake on the booking date. I called the hotel and they informed me that I could not change the reservation because I had insurance. Fan shield said my reason did not meet their policy for refund. I was not trying to get a refund I was trying to change the reservation date. You can never actually speak to someone at Fan shield. The funny thing is my Amex said they would insure my future reservations at no extra cost. Do not waste your money with this company.
It's a scam. They are not ever giving you money for anything. We couldn't drive from Oklahoma to Tennessee during Christmas because of artic blast. Roads were icey and dangerous and they said no. Don't waste your money. No mater what they are not helping you. Just another American scam.
I was unable to attend a $400 New Years eve gala due to covid. Claim denied because pandemic and epidemic not covered. This company is a SCAM, don't waste your money!
