GW offers our family a variety of tools and accessories beyond what is available at big box home improvement stores, or even specialty hobby or gardening outlets. Many of their available tools source from quality providers in the USA and worldwide, rather than being sourced from mass producers of lower quality and less innovative designs. The online catalog is easy to access and survey what is available for a hobby, gardening or home project. And, orders are promptly properly packaged and shipped. The invoicing process was straightforward and pricing or discounts properly applied. Customer service is responsive should any issues arise.
WEnt on the web site and bought a steel pan, Looked nice and figured it would serve my needs. Tapped the button to buy and *pow* my $$ disappeared...Got a reply that it would ship"soon" yeah,right...No shipping confirmation after about a week, Went to the Garrett-Wade web site, No help there. Said I didn't make an order. Tried a couple of times and same result...Tried calling...futile effort, Seems everyone was out cooking in my new pan... Waited a couple weeks and the pan finally showed up, Third party shipper from their warehouse...As a side note: The pan is as advertised and works well.
Garrett Wade has fantastic products. As long as you don't have an issue with your order, it's a great company. When there is an issue, buckle up.
In my instance an item ordered ran out of stock and was put on back order. A month later, I called for the status only to learn it was canceled. Two representatives could tell me why, but I could still order it online or through them.
Two weeks later, my order was canceled a second time and a second time, I didn't receive any notification. At the time of my second call, the product was still on the website for purchase on back order with an estimated shipping time of two weeks.
After speaking with Carol, a supervisor, she told me "these things happen" and it wasn't their fault. How is it not your fault that you canceled my order twice without telling me and the company still hasn't pulled an out of stock product?
I asked for a gift card or discount code or some sort of good-will and she told me that wasn't possible but she was trying to help me resolve the issue. How can you help then?
After going round in a circle with her, she stayed on the line but simply stopped speaking. She obviously was not allowed to hang up, but this was ridiculous.
Again, great products are offered but beware of the customer service team. As for me, I'll stick to the local home centers going forward.
GW has many unique and utilitarian items. I have purchased many garden items plus several knives. Everything is very good quality and their customer service is excellent.
I ordered the drill alignment tool on line and the product was delivered quickly and without complications. I was not disappointed when it arrived and immediately put it to use with several projects.
Having discovered that Garret Wade do not ship to the UK, I manager to find someone to take delivery of the Odd Job in the US and then ship to the UK. The Odd Job was a birthday present for my father, who as a cabinet maker by trade, was not aware of the Odd Job and he was thoroughly surprised and enthralled with it and has been putting the tool to good use.
I received a set of chisels as a gift and they are stunning! I visited the GW website and ordered a few more items. Everything arrived as promised - both in terms of time and quality.
I bought the French-made steak knives; they are sharp and have the right heft. They are good for anything that needs cutting, not just steak which I don't eat!
Easy to navigate the site. I always check the sale items for unique items. I order several times a year from their site. Very happy with the quality of items and their customer service.

Good experience, some of the items I purchase, I had to return because they didn't meet my expectations, and then I kept a couple of items, because of one that I like and another one that I'm trying to figure out how to return it.

I've been using a sling tote for years. This new tote carries more wood. Less work on the cold winter days to make less travel to the wood shed. Love the Tote

I tried to order an item monts ago and it was out of stock. They asked if I wanted to be notified when it again became available. They di so, and I ordered right away. It is a Christmas gift,
I took the Italian made waffle iron to moose camp.
It worked great, everyone loved the waffles that where made with it.
One thing though... it is 4.5"x5" not 4"x4".
Everything I have purchased from Garret Wade has been true to their description. They are high quality tools that make gardening more enjoyable with less effort. Great gifts for retirees.

I enjoy reading every catalog from Garrett Wade. I love when I find something I can give as a gift because I trust the quality of the products they sell and I know my loved one will be thrilled.
I placed my order and credit card was charged. I was sent an email letting me know the order was received. I never received any information on when it was shipping. After a week, I called and the customer service told me it was packed and ready to ship but had not left the building. 3 days later I called again, to be left on hold for 15 minutes because they could not find the order. I called back and I was informed that it was being packed and there was no schedule for shipping. I requested a cancelation as I live out of the country and know that I will not receive it in time for my departure. I was told there is no way to cancel it and that it would have to be left up to UPS to return it as there will be no one to receive it at this address. Awful customer service. They take your money and then whatever happens whenever it happens is the way they do business. Since no one will be here to receive the package I suspect this will be a $220 usd loss to me. I was really looking forward to receiving my gifts, and this has left an extreme sour taste in my mouth.

Ordered these loopers because I couldn't find a heavy duty set at the home improvement or hardware store. There is no easy to trim mesquite trees but, these are the best I've found to do the job.
