Considering the cost of their resume services about $300, I don't think it met my expectation. The writer worked on my resume did deliver several version of the resume within the timeline and she seemed professional. But I don't think it was really customized to my area of profession. They did not seem to know how to optimize a resume for data analytics. Maybe they can do a better job with a general business resume. The headline was a great story but too long. It originally came with 2 huge paragraphs. Even at the end, the headline was a long paragraph - very hard for a 3-4 second scan of the resume. I would have left it at 3 stars if the price was a bit more reasonable considering the service.

But the rest of my experience made me think 2 stars explains better about my experience. Also if the recruiter(Gary - the only recruiter in fact) tells you that they would also work with you in placing your potfolio in their private job boards to increase your chance of hire, I am guessing that I would be better off just applying on my own. Or just wait until any other linkedin recruiter to reach out to me for free anyways. The recruiter took my latest resume and supposedly placed on their website and told me if there is a good fit they would let me know. It does not seem that they will actually put in effort in "placing" you although that's how they frame it when they are selling you the service. I can probably get a much better match on "hired" which matches people with jobs with real good algorithms, recruiters, and great resources and 0 cost. Of course, I would never really find out how good or bad their job board is because I emailed them with my lastest resume for updates and followed up twice and no response. And I also left them a voicemail asking them about the issue I was having on the job board to upload my profile. No response either.

Overall, I do not recommend the resume service(theresumereview.com) or the recruiting service under GaryLouisNelson.com. Note that GaryLouisNelson.com is the recruiting service they have for theresumereview.com and the resumereview.com seems to be very new(as of May 2018).
