“Gift card mall scam”

I receive a gift card for appreciation. I try to register it and it said error. Then I call it gave me the total amount. As soon I try to use it declined. Call customer service was a waste of time. Never received it back. They keep trying for me to give them my address and other unnecessary information. When I keep telling them it was a gift.

To a close family friend who is a congressman and to my uncle who is a federal judge. They stole from me. This is a predatory company and needs to be shut down. I suggest that everyone who has this experience report it to their congressperson. They can shut it down. There can also be a class action lawsuit. They make multiple million of dollars in lost funds every year. It is crap

Do NOT buy a VISA gift card from the giftcard mall. My son received a $50 visa gift card for a birthday present and when he went to use it there was only $7 on the card. It was in a package and not opened so we know the giver of the gift did not use it. Somehow hackers must have gotten the numbers and used the card once it was activated. When we call to report it they made us fill out a ton of forms, send photos of the card and a long phone call documenting everything. In the end they did not issue a new card because we did not have the receipt of purchase. It was so ridiculous. Very disappointing that such a large company such as VISA can not back their product, they do not have a handle on hackers and they have a horrible customer service department. I say give cash forget the VISA/AMEX gift cards. It is a total loss! Will never buy again.

Ordered American Eagle gift card in November. No tracking number for a week. Then a tracking number but had not been picked up from the shipper 10 days later. Called and said no tracking on file! I gave them THEIR tracking number and was told someone would have to call me back. Which they did not. Today 4 weeks later, I was on hold for 15 min and talked with 2 different reps. Seems the trail for the tracking number ended in another state. Asked for it to be cancelled and was told I would get a call back... contacted my credit card company and disputed it.
This is not a legitimate business in my opinion.
UPDATE: Received card. Credit card was charged. American Eagle said not a valid number, to bring it in. Covid shut things down. I lost my $125.00.

This has been a terrible transaction for me. I ordered a $300 voucher and the link that came in did not work. I wanted to use that voucher the same day to get a gift card to buy something. I went to the website to send a cancellation request in. No one has ever contacted me about it. I called the same day and the agent who assisted me said he'd put in a ticket with tech support and that they would contact me because they don't have phones. Again, no one contacted me. I called again 4 days later and the agent at the time said there is a no return policy after the item is shipped. Shipped? Its an e-card! Unless i can navigate through your website at light speed there is no way to put in a cancellation before it's "shipped". So the agent escalated to get a refund. I still have not heard back from anyone. This is a SCAM.

Do not use GiftCardMall. I should have checked with the reviews before purchasing. It was only after having difficulty redeeming a card and reporting it to the credit card company to withhold payment that they responded to my email requesting assistance. Even at that time they said the issue was not with their company rather with the business related to the gift card that I had purchased and said that the onus was on me to follow up with the business. I would give it less than zero star but it is not an option on the rating scale.

Got a $50 gift card, went to the store to use it had to register the card… registered the card at the self checkout and went to run the card and it was declined. Checked the card and it said that 2 charges to PayPal 1 for $1.95 and then another for $48.00… so the second we registered the card they stole the money off it. Do not buy these cards!

A organization purchased the card for my daughter with cancer to cheer her up 10/10/22 in Perrysburg OH. 10/23/2022 the card was used for total by someone at a NYGROCERY!

We found out trying to use it 01/16/2023!

I would not recommend purchasing a Visa gift card from these people. I bought one and lost my money.The card is not usable. When I try to call them it asks for your sixteen digit card number. I type it in and it says it's not a valid number. I have no way to contact them by phone. A balance check on-line says my card is marked for potential fraud. I'm going to throw the card away and count it a loss. I'm glad I only spent $25.00 on the card. Screw you giftcardmall!

We are a company and we purchased a gift card for an employee who would be traveling internationally. We did not want to cancel the gift card, simply transfer it over to a card which would work internationally. Lots of help they were. I explained to the woman we would never use their services again and that I would tell 20 friends not to use their services. I surely hope this reaches more than 20 people. Find another gift card site to purchase from. These people are awful!

Gift card: 50 dollars
Ability to actually use it: Zero
Website: Only the area for purchases works. I get a server not responding message from areas dealing with post-purchase cards.
Conclusion: They are thieves and should be held accountable.

Products used:
Gift card useless. Customer service non-existent. 50 dollars down the drain.

I ordered 6 personalized visa gift cards totaling $511.00. I ordered on Dec. 10th. I rec'd an email saying they were shipped Dec. 16 from Texas. Now it's Dec 23 and was told they could arrive as late as Jan 5,2016. The customer service lady said "you chose USPS, so it is in the 1st class mail, if you would have chosen UPS and paid more you'd receive them earlier."
My husband works for the USPS and insists there is no way first class mail from Texas to Florida takes 15 work days. Oh, yes, there is no tracking number for first class! That was my Christmas present for my children... GREAT... how I wish I read these reviews before ordering!

I purchased 170 Visa Gift Cards on 12/02/2021 for our employees as Christmas gifts.
It took them 2 days to tell me the payment was still not processed and that it would have to be done manually. I waited 2 days and called them and they still told me it was not processed so I decided to cancel. It took another 2 days to cancel and now it will take 7-10 business days to be refunded!
I do not recommend using them to buy gift cards. Period.

Do not buy your gift cards here!

I have never dealt with a company that accepts the order and then denies it! When you call customer service to find out why, you are required to confirm many items then are told that the order was denied by their security process. They cannot offer an explanation as to why it was cancelled.

SHimalayan salt, when left in its natural state, is rich in nutrients and minerals. Pink Himalayan Salt re-mineralizes the body with minerals and trace elements essential to our health and well being.

This smells like a SCAM!

I have never written a review before. I cannot believe how bad this company's customer service is, but I should have looked at other reviews first. The site is EXTREMELY confusing and it will charge you without a clear confirmation. I erroneously was charged when I was shopping for an Ecard instead of a mailed card. The customer service representative was completely unhelpful. Do NOT use this company. Read the other reviews first

I was given a Visa gift card and it was by giftcardmall. I registered the card, set up the pin, and everything. But at first I could find ANY store that this card would accept it. I feared it was completely useless. The giftcardmall says there is $50 on the card, but I could not use it. It seemed worthless. I thought they just stole my friend's money when they got the gift card. Finally, after trying places over and over and being rejected, I did find one place that accepted it. What a pain!

Did not have any issues with the gift card until I checked the balance using the website on the back of the card. After inputting the information the card was then fraudulently used for almost the whole balance. Seems very fishy that these two things happened very close in time when the card has no issues prior and was received quite some time before this and was used normally with no issues prior. Seems like their website is compromised, yet they continue to steer people to register and use their website.

I purchased two of the iTunes egift cards yesterday. It's been more than 24 hours and I still have not received my iTunes cards. I will give them tomorrow to get this right but if not I will demand a refund considering they already got money out of my account. I have spoke to 5 different people and they tell me the same thing and nothing has happened. One more day like I mentioned and that's it. I'm done playing with these people, $150 dollars I could have used for something else smh

The card is really difficult to use. It's virtually impossible to use the full balance on the card because it continuously gets rejected if you spend anywhere close to the amount on the card. So you basically pay $5 or $6 to activate this card and then you lose a dollar or two that you can never spend. On top of that, i have a really hard time checking my balance because whenever i try to log into the website it marks my card as potential fraud. Selling pre-paid credit cards can't possibly be as difficult as visa is making it.

It took 18 hours for my itunes gift card to be emailed to me! I could have gotten in my car and drive to the store and bought one and used it in that amount of time. The website claimed most arrive in four hours. What a waste of time.

I purchased a $100 VISA giftcard and it got hacked and someone stole the remaining $50 on the card. I was on the phone with their "customer support" for a while and said they would ship a new card in around 2 weeks. The card came today and when I checked the balance it said there was $0.72.

I was trying to check the current status on some of my cards and entered the info into the site.
It came back with an "error" and then they drained the rest of the money on the card. Stay away from the website

Ordered a Home Depot e-card that should have arrived within 4 hours. After 24 hours still waiting. I called and was told it could take up to 72 hours. I should have ordered from Homedepot.com and it would have arrived in less than 5 minutes.

As others have posted, they send the card to the recipient after several days. 9 days for me. Then the recipient cannot even use the card without an activation code sent to the purchaser. Of course, I never received the activation code. Then when I call customer service they said that they cannot give the code and that they will have to put in a service ticket which will take 1-2 business days to resolve. So basically the person I gave the card to gets a useless piece of plastic and I am out what I paid for the card.

Never use this website.

I used a 100.00 card at PayPal for an item that never shipped. PayPal credited this same card and I never received it on the card. Every time I check the card online it says technical error. These were purchased at KROGER. They should stop selling it!

Tip for consumers:
Just get a regular branded Vis or Mastercard. My husband bought at Kroger and Maybe they were cheaper. I am going to Kroger tomorrow to let them know that the gift card is a rip-off. Easy to activate. Impossible to fix an error.

Do not buy from Gift Card Mall! It is a scam. Someone else would have already registered your card, so when you go register it, you can't. When you contact BlackHawk Network they can't do anything because you have to show proof of registration. So they say sorry we can't do anything about this card.
