I was looking for an English Bulldog, which can be a challenge. Good Dog vetted breeders so I didn't have to worry about a potential scam. They also followed up during the process and provided useful articles for bringing home a puppy. Overall, great experience.
I contacted a couple of breeders on GoodDog.com and one of them was KZAAM Golden Retriever (Patty Byler). Since we have had 7 Golden Retrievers before I am trained in how to select a puppy. You always look at the parents to see how they are. You would be surprised at what you will find out there with breeders that are not very good. So, I always ask the Breeder to provide pictures of the male and female parents. I require a picture of the dogs in the standing position with one pic of the side view and one of the front. Looking at both parents like this will give you a good idea on what the pup will look like when they are an adult. There is nothing like seeing both parents for yourselves. This way you can see the disposition of the dame/sire. If this is not possible, go with the pictures. This method of selecting a pup has always given us great Golden Retrievers that look like the Goldens they use on TV. When I insisted Patty to provide these pictures she finally said that she was not good with letting us have one of her pups. My response to her was, without the pics we would not purchase a pup from her. Just thought anyone looking for a purebred dog should know this before looking for a purebred pup.
My husband and I decided to go with Triple J Aussies, and are very thankful we did. From the moment we filled out the application and was notified by Good Dog that it had been accepted, things went pretty quick. Deanna email me with pictures of beautiful puppies to pick from. I chose one, then called her, and she answered all my questions, and even help to pick the right creat out. We put a deposite down through God Dog on Tuesday and pick our puppy up on Sunday. Deanna was so nice and had everything we needed for our new puppy and then some,
We wanted to make sure that the breeder we chose would be a good one, with a true love for breeding Toy Aussies Shepards. When we started our search for Toy Aussie Shepard puppies, it lead us to Good Dog which lead us to Triple J Aussies, and after reading about Deanna we knew that Good Dog had lead us to a super Breeder in our area. Thank you Good Dog. I would recommend Good Dog to everyone.
It was a rough experience in the beginning with a breeder but used a different breeder and was able to get the perfect puppy. I can't take him home till January but was very pleased with the process. It was my first time looking for a pure breed. Thank you very much
I googled toy puppies and Good Dog came up.
I am not sure how i feel about the way it is set up. I feel when you search for pups it is hard to see who parents are. The information on the parents. As a breeder wish we could search for people in messages.
I started as it was a really good and only let breeders who health tested place there pups. Now any one with a litter seems to be on here.
After looking for 2 years for a breeder, we happened across Good Dog and we were so happy. So many scams going on out there but we found a breeder where we live and it's been nothing but a positive experience. I highly recommend Good Dog for your fur baby adoption.
Consumer friendly website, genuine dog lovers and concerned you get the right Puppy.
I felt comfortable that Good Dog had screened the breeders and that I was getting a healthy happy puppy.
The breeders that I found through Good Dog have been wonderful to work with. They send me pictures and videos as my new puppy grew until she was ready for her new home.
In my case they had many breeders to choose from on the puppy breed that I was looking for.
I had a great experience getting my dog via Good Dog. My pup is a healthy and happy doggie. Although he had a grounded flight coming to me the airline was able to put him in a dog hotel for the night and was transported to me the day after. My breeder kept me update the entire time throughout the process.
I appreciated the guarantee and straightforward process.
Nothing more than a glorified "Lancasterpuppies.com" or breeder listing page. No different than any other puppy mill lister. I am sickened to see they only ask you to fill out a questionnaire (couldn't the breeder lie?) and ask you 10 questions on the phone by a girl that sounds 17 years old. That's not as thorough as a place like the AKC Breeder of Merit program where they do all of this AND inspect you--you can't lie. I can't believe the breeders featured on this site. I'd be embarrassed to be listed here. Nothing more than glorified brokers. Go to www.akc.org and search for Breeders of Merit by state and by breed--much safer--and accurate.
Hi Donna,
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. At Good Dog, our community and customers are the most important thing and we continuously strive to provide excellent service. We would love to explain a bit more about the screening process we use. When screening breeders, we take a holistic approach to evaluating their whole program. Our team comprehensively considers many aspects of a breeding program, focusing on five key areas: breeding practices, physical health of the breeding dog and puppies, mental health of the breeding dog and puppies, environment, and buyer education and policies. You can learn more about our community standards and our screening process here: https://www.gooddog.com/standards-and-screening.
If you have any other questions or want to provide more feedback, please feel free to email us at at help@gooddog.com or give us a call at 855.446.6336. We’re always available to talk to you!

When we found the puppy we wanted and asked for information, we got a quick response answering our questions. The app worked well and it was easy to make a payment. We spoke to the breeder and she was very knowledgeable and accommodating as we had to travel to pick up our baby.
We found a puppy we wanted on Good Dog.
Overall a great experience! The process was smooth from beginning to end. They communicated effectively and made sure the buyers were serious and responsible. Overall J enjoyed working with them. The payment process was also smooth.
It came highly recommended by a friend. I wanted to make sure the buyers were responsible and not sending our dogs to just anyone. The company earned my trust.
It does not state in any of their information that you have to only use their credit card processing or you will be banned. So a buyer cannot use cash, check or money order and only use their card processing or the seller will be banned. After signing up you get an email to inform you of this.

Hi Elizabeth,
We’re glad a member of our team was able to connect with you via email and share more information about Good Dog’s On-Platform Payment Policy (https://www.gooddog.com/good-breeder-center/on-platform-policy).
As a quick recap, our policy asks that all deposits and final puppy payments be completed on Good Dog when working with a Good Dog applicant.
We make sure all Good Dog applicants are aware of this policy. When Good Dog applicants submit their application to a Good Breeder, they agree to abide by our policy before submitting their application. That means all Good Dog applicants understand that all deposit and final puppy payments should be completed on Good Dog, and we also let them know about the benefits that come with paying on Good Dog.
Buyers can pay through Good Dog “fee free” by simply selecting to opt-out of the optional Protection & Support fee and choosing to pay via bank transfer (ACH) for no additional card processing fees. Buyers can always reach out to our team for further assistance with this by giving us a call/text us at 855-446-6336, or emailing us at help@gooddog.com
We hope this clears up any remaining questions you have!

I was looking for a puppy for my Grandsons. I bought one from Henry Miller. He corresponded whenever I had questions. Sent pictures. Nice to talk to. He brought the puppy to my house. Nice person. If I ever decide to buy a puppy again, I will diffently go back to him! Thanks again Henry!
I bought 2 border collies September 2021. The breeder was blue valley border collies, Beatrice, Nebraska. The breeder will not send me my registration papers for the dogs. I found out after I bought the female that the mother to my female was imported and so far the bca has refused to register the dog..
Hi Cheryl!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us.
We are sorry that you did not have a good experience working with the breeder and have not received your pups registration. A member of our team would be more than happy to chat with you so that we can help you move forward with the breeder.
Please reach out to us anytime at help@gooddog.com or give us a call at 855.446.6363. We’re sorry again about the experience you've had so far, but look forward to speaking with you soon & hopefully turning your experience into a positive one!

I did not get my dog from this website, but they were very helpful in me finding my new dog.
I first tried a breeder from their website, but turned out to be a scam, and lost money on that.
This sight help me find what I was looking for from a legit breeder and gave me info on what I needed for the new puppy, and someone to talk to if I needed help
After being scammed, I found out there are a lot of people out there scamming people out of their choice of pets. So I did a lot more research and found this site to be one of the best for finding legit breeders.
We are extremely pleased with Good Dog and the service we receive from being part of their business. The majority of our puppies are sold on their site and we are grateful to Good Dog for having this platform to sale our puppies.
We felt that it was a good safe place to list our puppies.
The process was foreign to me when I started but once I figured it all out it was wonderful. The breeder who we went with was awesome to communicate with! She sent me pictures and updates just to be kind. She answered all my questions and I had plenty of them! We love our little angle and are so glad we had a organization to be the buffer in the beginning so that we knew it was a legit processs.
By accident really but now I will tell others about it!
My husband and I purchased a Cavapoo puppy from Lucia Neri. It was a totally satisfying experience! Lucia really cared about what puppy we were looking for as my husband and I are older adults. We have had dogs throughout our 43 years of marriage. Lucia supported us in every way she could. Yesterday, we became the proud happy owners of Millie, a Cavapoo puppy.
After a lot of research, I felt the Good Dog stamp of approval meant we could trust any Breeder recommendation.
People are able to search for the exact type of dog they are looking for, reach out and conversate with the breeders ask questions, get pictures and information and even pay their deposit and balance right online
We choose to use "Good dog" because of its reputation, in verifying breeders and there backgrounds and making sure they are legit, allowing people to feel confident when they search the Good Dog platform.
After my horrible experience with Lancaster Puppies i found a site called Gooddogs.com. The site vets it's breeders. The breeders require applications, phone interviews, pictures... In most cases the breeder makes the decision to reserve you a puppy from their next litters. You will pay a bit more for your puppy but you will be confident you will have a healthy and happy puppy. We are in line to to receive a puppy in the spring.
I wasn't sure what breed we wanted or how to find reputable breeders in our state - we had recently moved back to Florida. I came across the GoodDog website during my web search and am so glad I did. It combines all the info you need about breeds and breeders, allows you to reach out to breeders, apply online and reserve your puppy. It was so easy. We chose a corgi thru Mulkey's Little Corgis and Toni quickly responded to all our questions and was very helpful throughout the process. She regularly shared pics. Finalizing the transaction was a breeze and she puts together a wonderful folder of paperwork and additional info along with a lovely going home bag with toys, starter food, treats and a blanket. We would not hesitate to recommend both GoodDog and Mulkey's Little Corgis. We are enjoying our new puppy!
We loved the ease of having so much accurate information about the various breeds all in one place. We explored many breed options until we decided on a corgi. After that it was easy to find a reputable breeder in our area, read their bio and complete the online application and make our deposit.
I now have 3 DBF terriers. All amazing. We just picked up Alice yesterday. I love the attention & care DBF Russell Terriers puts into all their dogs. Extremely conscientious of breeding for the best of the best. We are DBF lifetime fan club members!
They had DBF Russell Terriers.
*******@Chase me Shelties is a wonderful breeder. Beautiful dogs personality and looks. As a Canadian there was some trouble with the payment mechanism and Good Dog personnel were extremely helpful and solved the probelem quickly. Couldn't be more pleased
I chose the breeder because I had purchased a previous pup from her. She had subsequently joined Good Dog. Frankly had not heard of it but am very pleased
Good Dog was the best platform available to find great breeders for puppies. We were able to get connected to a great breeder (Blue Sky Chesapeake Bay Retrievers) in an efficient manner to find the puppy of our dreams.
Referral from a friend and the great experience they had in finding a dog.
The number of health tests is how a breeder is rated "excellent" "good" etc.
Good Dog does NOT confirm whether the breeder actually breeds the designated breed they state. Registration certificates are not checked.
If Good Dog states on their website a breeder is breeding a purebred dog they should confirm the registration certificates stating the dogs are of that particular breed.
I have spoken with Good Dog and they say they aren't able to check registration certificates but only health certificates.
Be careful when screening any breeders used on this site. Confirm the sire and dam's registration certificates of a reputable breed club and look at the breed designation.
Good luck with Good Dog
Tip for consumers:
Be very cautious

Hi Linda,
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! We are always open to constructive feedback and are incredibly grateful to you for sharing your concerns with us.
We wanted to provide you with some more information on our process for clarity. The Good, Great, and Excellent designations pertain to the health testing a breeder performs. We developed this 3-level rating system to designate the health testing incorporated into a breeding program. These Levels provide breeders with a path for improving their programs from Good to Great to Excellent while distinguishing programs that are doing all the recommended testing, or more.
In terms of our screening process, we take a holistic approach to evaluating a breeder’s whole program. Our team comprehensively considers many aspects of a breeding program, focusing on five key areas: breeding practices, physical health of the breeding dog and puppies, mental health of the breeding dog and puppies, environment, and buyer education and policies. You can learn more about our community standards and our screening process here: gooddog.com/standards-and-screening.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on other ways to help differentiate programs and profiles. Please feel free to email help@gooddog.com or call 855.446.6336 at any time. Thank you again for sharing your feedback - we wish you all the best!

I swell with Pride when I hear and see my babies doing Amazing things for their owners right from the start and through the years right up to the end We found each other on Good Dog! Best friends made here. Good Dog makes it simple for people to get dogs from good sources and for reputable breeders, shelters and rescues to put their dogs in good homes. And we provide all the support and guidance you need to feel confident every step of the way!
Hi Shana,
Thank you so much for sharing this feedback with us! We’re happy to share some more information that might be helpful.
When a buyer is viewing a puppy from an available litter, they are immediately able to see the parent dogs for that puppy. Additionally, every breeder’s page has a specific section marked “Moms & Dads,” where buyers can find information about a program’s sires and dams.
We also have a filter on the Waitlist tab that allows breeders to view their active waitlist members by the litter they're assigned to. There's also an option to see buyers that aren't assigned to any litter, in case that is helpful as you search for specific applicants
We hope this helps answer your questions but please don’t hesitate to reach out to breederteam@gooddog.com if there’s anything else we can help you with!
Warmly,
The Good Dog Team
