It seems when our government tries to protect people there are always companies that try to slip past the hurdles.
So Green Retrofit Program Capital has "independent contractors" install equipment at unsuspecting old age pensioners, and charge them a cost that is 10 - 20 times the actual cost. They install a hot water tank that will cost the person in 12 years a total of $14,000 (for an actual cost of $1,000 max), and an electrostatic air filter, that was smaller than the duct size for a cost of maybe $150, for a final cost (after 12 years of payments) of about $9,000.
This is highway robbery, but they shelter behind their lawyers and the contract, saying they are only the "banker".
I wish the government would crack down on them, and put them out of business!
