Grindr has a rating of 1.5 stars from 184 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Grindr most frequently mention customer service, drug dealers, and fake profiles problems. Grindr ranks 21st among Gay Dating sites.
Grindr banned me for a second time for doing nothing wrong. I am sick of the crap anyway. Many of the people are professional prostitutes who use the site to make money. Others are there just to pay them. Many are underage, so, you take a HUGE chance when you meet them. Many are paid to get you to join other dating sites that charge money. The pictures of most of the people who have joined are not theirs. You find out that when you do a meet. Many are into hard core drugs. I found that out the hard way. Many are married. Some admit to it. Most don't. Stay away from this site under all circumsatances or you will regret it.

A couple months ago grindr gas had many bugs which they never fix and a few weeks ago I submitted a ticket for the app taking way too long to load everything I I received the automated response immediately saying they will reach out to me in a few days and that was may 31st with no response at all! I pay for premium and their customer service is trash. No help whatsoever! I've canceled for this reason and I'm deleting the app as well! Grindr is garbage. They don't care about their customers free or paying

This new Grindr is not making anything easier it is making meeting much worse. The direction of the platform has changed from a place where men meet to a place where the rich can make money off of men not meeting. Going public. Almost their biggest mistake ever. Behind the charging out the butt just to see 600 profiles. Wow.
Tip for consumers:
Grindr, if this were a tangible product it would be bad bad plastic dime store shoes masquerading as Sketchers masquerading as Gucci but in all actuality Highly over priced plastic bags the wearer is enchanted by magic to think he HAS shoes on.... sad thing is people.. there is little left in the way of meeting anyone anymore.

I was just got booted off grinder, No reason given. Although I found legitimate people, in the grinder app. I was also being bombed by scammers. Mainly a lot of them claiming to be Chinese, their pictures look as tough they have been cut out of a GQ magazine. There are also a lot of white hustlers, selling their services. 90% of the contacts were from the individuals claiming to be Chinese, living hundreds of miles away from me. The rest were the masseurs selling their services. I wonder as to why the government stepped in,and shut down Craigslist, yet they continue to allow Grinder to get away with their crimes.

For years I've been trying to make another account you can't. It says phone number used too many times, of course they don't provide any support yet they want to charge $100's of dollars. I deleted one account that i managed to get working but I can't create a new one. To hell with them. That company needs to be investergated.

If you are paying for GRINDr Ads I will let you know they have so many problems in their platforM that they are basically stealing your money. We spent thousands with them and after not having a single convertion I decided to run a few reports most of the devices are showing just a black ad.they ignore all the problems, but many of this bugs are even visible if you just try to use their platform

You pay a hundred dollars for a subscription but that doesn't even allow you to see who visited your profile - they want you to pay even more for the basics that other sites have for free even after you already paid a hundred bucks - will not be renewing - snake oil salesmen - pond scum feeding off of the gay community

They now want to minimize how many profiles you can view so you will be forced to pay money for membership. Even when you purchase one, they want you to purchase other memberships in addition to the first one for other services. This is a horrible tactic. I miss they way it was prior to this corporate change.

Worst site, won't return emails, sent 3three no return, band me for no reason or explanation, all they do is cater to scammers getting number then ur accounts and they do nothing about it, I told one what I thought and grindr responded right off warning me, I'm sure this goes on deaf ears.

Grindr make it so difficult to in terms of subscription renewal or not.
Why the hell you need to sign up on one of those Google play applications. Could it be a simple yes or no if you want reoccurring renewal.
Grindr come.clean if you are getting some kickback for signing up in those applications.

I have given them alot of money over the months and they treat you like this. IAM PAYING there damm salary for christ sake! WTH! Dont wast your money or give them your account number as well. NOT safe. Hope this helps others wanting to sign up. Thanks

Grindr literally bans paid accounts for no reason and they refuse to refund paid subscribers they ban! You try to explain the situation but they literally don't see to reason and they just ignore you when you try to appeal! They literally ban you for telling someone the price of tickets to an event in NYC you're meeting someone at and they use the excuse as "soliciting sex". So you can't tell a group of friends you're attending a concert in NYC and how much money the tickets are because if you're talking about money, you must obviously be selling sex! Grindr is a $#*!ing joke! Sniffies.com is better... at least they see to reason!

Purchased "top" level subscription. Suspended without a reason being offered. Waiting a long time to hear result of appeal against suspension. Meantime lost everything, past contacts, messages (including exchanged email addresses and numbers and pictures), details of favourites, contacts. In my view "not guilty" of anything. Trying to get refund of access payment (originally was for a year, about six moths left) unsuccessful/unavailable. Lousy service, think thrice!

I've read countless reviews of the same thing. People being banned for NOTHING and being given no reason.
Don't join GRINDR. Switch to other apps.
Grindr is worthless as a company. They are data mining our information.

I just didn't feel like these folks had the consumer's best interest. Also I felt they tracked your conversations and adjusted your feed more as a retaliatory procedure. I had paid for 90 days and felt that once they received my funds. They no longer had to communicate one on one about any mistakes or advantages in the usage! Bye Grindr you suck! My opinion.

Grindr autobarn is a money maker for the company.
The staff say sorry lots but don't mean it.
Site should be investigated for criminal offences, stealing money and personal information.
Poor service don't waste your time.

It's not the fake profiles or drug dealers as mentioned above. It's their "Customer Service" - Recently, a guy started harassing me, pretending to know who I was / where I lived, etc. etc. I maintained my composure, which was difficult and informed him that I was not interested and asked that he stop contacting me. I reported him as Grindr encourages you to do. That was two weeks ago. I've blocked ever since. Even after multiple appeals (they responded that they made a mistake and my account would be restored. NOPE. Still blocked. So, my advise - NEVER contact them / never report anyone. I'm the victim of harassment. I followed all of the rules and tried to protect other members from this creep, yet, I'm blocked and it makes no sense. No good deed goes unpunished. It's ridiculous and unfair.

This grindr app is becoming so frustrating to use. As a free member I have no issues with watching short ads to help keep grindr free however now you can no longer browse in privacy because most ads come along with full volume sound and now going for more than 10 seconds, further more ads that won't closer and when they do just go to another ad. Clearly their bots don't work very well either so many and constantly profiles messages and taps either fake, escort/massage or leading to external sex sites. Constant app updates that never seem to resolve other issues on the site. It's certainly not the way to inspire me to pay for a membership to a site that is so unstable

Recently grindr banned my account with no specified reason of it. I did not violate community guidelines. But i can not log in or make a new account at all. I contacted grindr support and they said that the ban will not be lift.
Dose anyone know a solution?

I don't get what the rave's all about with this app when there are better (and safer) ways to find a date. Grindr encourages nasty behavior and many users hide behind fake profiles. It's the last place to find someone to get into a serious relationship with.

Grindr lets anyone to steal pictures, no protection it does not protect gay community. Anyone can get a screenshot and use that picture or post anywhere else. Why Grindr cannot introduce something like a symbol on pictures (for example GR) and if someone uses a picture with with this symbol not allow to upload.
Recently I had a really bad experience. A crazy guy used my pictures as profile picture and described I have STD and drug resistant syphilis. I am a medical professional and I know how to look after myself. The same person used my Instagram in this profile. Grindr does not protect personal information.
