“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

It's hard to believe just how bad the grubhub website is. It will only allow me to put one thing in my bag. So, ordering for 2 is out of the question. It keeps logging me out. So, when I want something from a restaurant, it keeps making me put in my address to see if they deliver there. Then when I choose the address that comes up from their drop down, it doesn't work. I don't see them staying in business if they can't sort this out. UberEats is much better. The only reason I used grubhub is because someone sent me a gift card.

It appears that politics is part & parcel of their menu.:)

This is very sad. I do wonder if many folks have ever taken the time to read Trump's books & statements over the years?

I suspect that, when the world looks back over the time of Trump's presidency, that he may very well turn out to be one of the very best. Trump deserves respect.

I placed a large order for a company event. They called 20 minutes before the event to let us know that the order was cancelled due to an error with their system. We asked if they called the order in, and they said the restaurant was not picking up the phone. We called and they picked up on the 1st ring!
Not acceptable. First and last time using this service!

I got a $10 coupon to try GrubHub, so I thought I would test it. The restaurant cancelled the order, which is not really on GrubHub, but they stored the order so I could no longer use the "new user" coupon. They gave me a courtesy credit that had expired by the time I tried again. That try was almost an hour late, and I was unable to use any of the credits I had been given. I contacted customer service, and they said they would not issue any more credits. Things go wrong; I get that. But you need to take care of your customers when they do. I am unable to remember such a uniformly poor customer service response. If there was a way to give zero stars, then I would. Go use Caviar.

Seems every other time I try to use this stupid app it tells me all the restaurants are closed, really? Since when does Taco Bell close at 7pm EST?!? I don't know who wrote their app but they need to fire him along with the rest of their IT department as this app is costing them money. And when you add in that they raise the price of the food you order, charge for delivery and you have to tip driver, well I can get two meals for what one costs.

Not only was my delivery 30 minutes later than expected at all the items were delivered missing or two shakes for my children. Driver Said to contact Grubhub to have the items delivered not only would they not deliver the items the refund will take 3 to 5 days. Buyer beware if you don't get the items that you ordered good luck

The service is too expensive. They will suggest 25% driver's tip, plus sizable service fee plus delivery charge. Seriously? Three charges for one delivery? Like 40% of bill included charges. Forget it.

I've used grub hub many times for Hong Kong (with excellent service and food) but any other restaurants I order from either they never confirm my order and I have to get my money refunded, or grub hub confirms the order, the restaurant itself doesn't, and I never received the food which then forces me to make a lot of phone calls. Once I cancel an order I can't even leave a review for the place I ordered from originally. I'm very nervous everytime I order from somewhere new. I never know if my money is going to be taken and I get food, or taken and then refunded 3-5 business day. The second happened twice today. Once with the first place, and then with the discount, I gave it another shot through Grub Hub, but nope. Grub Hub either needs to find a better way to communicate to these restaurants, or find a better way to appease the customers taking a chance with this site.

I called after two orders were canceled and guess what, GrubHub offered me a five dollar credit and the guy on the phone sounded like a robot like he didn't care at all and that it was something so common for them that they're just used to it.

Grub Hub doesn't even deserve one star. I placed an order from McDonald's for my cousin. He was hospitalized so the food would go there. I added very detailed information about the hospital's location (including cross street) I also added the room number and his name. I received a call from the driver but I couldn't understand a word he was saying because he could not speak English. The driver harassed me with over three phones calls. Each time I could not understand a word he was saying. I called Grub Hub and the customer service gentleman had broken English so it made it very hard to communicate with him as well. I finally found out that the driver had left the food in the hospital lobby. It took over an hour to get this situation settled. The food was cold and inedible by the time my cousin received it. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Really should have read the reviews because I would not have ordered but I did... food took 2 hours to get to me then they didn't have my drinks but he was going to take my money to get some... opened order while he was gone and nothing was right and it was cold. Called then up and they said I would get a refund but when the driver came back he could only give me what I have him minus the $4.00 he spent on two cokes... never again. Now we are hungry and grumpy with two cokes... lovely.

Tip for consumers:
Save your money and just pick up the food yourself.

Used there services before, been okey.
But the fact that these people act like facists against people that have another opinion than them makes me never wanting to use them again. Have shared their message with every one I know, so that they know what they stand for.

Driver never showed. Driver would not answer my calls or texts. Food showed as delivered. Checked with all neighbors and none had received the food. Driver clearly ran off with the food. GrubHub only offered me 50% off on my next order up to a max value of $ 50! I lost $ 150 and they offer me $ 50? Not right at all--beware!

GrubHub is horrible now, low orders, not telling you where you are going, Gas sky high and the orders are super low. No blocks, to long to get a order, I'm really disappointed in them now. They need to change their policy back and think about their drivers.

Used this the last time one year ago. Took 2 hours to get the food. It was cold and disgusting. Told the company and they gave be a time-limited $5 coupon. OOOHHH_EEE

Now the company is discriminating and using politics as an excuse after the presidential election. AVOID at all costs!

Watched the chat with us queue go down by 10s every second. Then got to 2 and stopped for several minutes. Then got to 1 and stayed there indefinitely. Clearly it is a fake queue system to indicate how "busy they are". Anyway, still never got any help.

Received a message from grubhub stating order was on the was. 40 minutes later the food arrive. This was a taco bell order and they place a seal on the bag. First thing I noticed was the seal was torn open. Next thing a found was that part of my order was missing and after driving around for 40 minutes my food was cold.
So during a pandemic grubhub drivers feel that it is ok to open people's bags and mess with the food. Their to many of these types of services now, this was my last order with grubhub.

I am a Grubhub delivery driver. The wait that you are experiencing when receiving your food really depends on the restaurant. Sometimes they are swamped and tell us it isn't ready yet and that we should come to pick up the order. I waited over 40mins once to pick up a customers order. So by the time I delivered it on the other side of Brooklyn the customers are already pissed off.

Another thing is Grubhub is a shady company. They keep the tips for themselves and don't give it to the delivery drivers. I beg customers not to tip through the Grubhub website/delivery app. We never get that money. Cash deliveries are better for us. Grubhub has conjured up a ridiculous contract and in fine print robs the delivery driver of their tips.

I ordered from only one time and I never received my food! So why would I sign up for a membership? But I just found out that they have been charging me 10.59 a month for a membership fee!? I am livid! Called to demand my money back!

Food showed up cold and late. Tried to get a refund for untouched pile of slop and the a holes just laughed at me basically and said they would refund 5 dollars of a 30 dollar order. Poor service and even worse customer service. What a f'ing joke.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use them, just go get it yourself

Twice grub hub advertised that we could order from local restaurants. We did so and got a message that our orders were being prepared. Then one hour later we got a call from grub hub cancelling the order as outside the delivery area of the restaurant. If the order was outside the area grub hub shouldn't have taken the order ( and moreover these restaurants are no more than 15 to 20 minutes from our house.) we certainly should have been notified sooner. This is the worst service in our experience. Don't use them unless you enjoy using this as a means of dieting

We tried to order from a restaurant we often order and get delivery from. We have ordered here many times on GrubHub and have never had an issue getting delivery. For whatever reason, this time it was accidentally set to Pickup, which we can't do because our car is in the shop. So first I called the restaurant and they said to contact GrubHub. We did and GrubHub told us that it was impossible to switch it from pickup to delivery because we had already placed the order. They said they couldn't possibly assign a driver. Not only that, they also told us we couldn't cancel the order! Basically forcing a charge on my card for food that would never be eaten. Oh but they gave a 30 dollar grubhub credit. I just can't believe how backward and inflexible their systems is. Blows my mind!

Here is my experience using Grubhub:

1. Ordered food.
2. Waited two hours.
3. Wrote the driver
4. Checked the driver's status
5. Driver didn't reply
6. Waited
7. Waited….
8. And waited some more
9. Saw the driver on gps
10. Driver arrived and didn't drop off food. Arrived and then left…
11. Contacted customer service
12. Rachel said she would refund me
13. Asked her to resend the order
14. Rachel said all she can do is refund me
15. Asked to speak with a manager
16. Rachel said there is none
17. Asked for a manager to call during business hours
18. Rachel said that can take anywhere between 2-4 days.
19. They never called.

I ordered online and the restaurant called telling me they didn't have the item available to order that day and they cancelled the order. The charge went through still and I've been back and forth with this Eat24 trying to get a refund. First and last time using this company for ordering food.

I placed an order through Yelp with a restaurant in order to have food delivered to a friend who had lost her mom. I called her to let her know that dinner was on its way I called the restaurant to confirm they received the order however GrubHub messed up and did not deliver the food to my friend.
Instead of having the peaceful and calm evening I feeling loved and being cared for I unintentionally caused even greater distress to my friend and her family by Messing up their dinner the night before the funeral.
