Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.
Late deliveries. Deliveries never made. Deliveries seldom wrong when they were made. Customer service is nothing but a call center with people who are hard to understand who cannot help you. Left on hold multiple times for over 20 minutes while trying to make a complaint with the customer service (call center)
This is the worst delivery service ever. They kept upping the ETA of my delivery by 10-15 minutes. Took over an hour to get my food. By then it was cold and tasteless. Only reason I ordered delivery was because my car is being serviced. I will never use this service again.

I am reviewing as a business owner of a restaurant. I make sure to check everyday order from Grubhub or Seamless. For some reason, if you add an item from the tablet to an order or a replacement for an item that is out of stock, they don't auto credit you but it's being charged to a customer. Now if I call them for the credit, they will only credit you with the item amount without the sales tax. So, I believe this is where they make more money from the customer's sales tax and the restaurant's as well. This has to be fixed. I hope you Restaurant owners are checking your daily report too. Sales tax is a little amount but if it builds up, that will be millions.
If I could give zero stars, I would. After an hour we still had not gotten food or heard from the driver. GrubHub customer service couldn't reach the driver. Restaurant closed, we had no food. The only positive is we were refunded. Never using this service again.
I recently made an order and it took 2 hours to get my food. The updated stated an hour. After I made a compliant with customer service all they said was sorry we can cancel your order with a refund. No credit was offered. After waiting two hours my food was still not delivered. Horrible customer service. Horrible experience I highly recommend NOT using YELP EAT 24 ever. PostMates or UberEats is a lot more reliable and much better customer service.
Man I ordered from these idiots and the order never showed up. Then they had the nerve to say we can offer you coupons. I told them i wasn't using their service for no more so there was no need for a coupon. Then they had the nerve to say let me call the restaurant and see what they want to do. The company didn't deliver the order, your fools were suppose too. I'm never ordering with these dumb people again.
My account was randomly locked and they wouldn't be able to unlock it for at least two days... Because their error message was something generic like "you cannot place an order at this time" I spent like 45 minutes trying to place an order using different cards, trying different restaurants, etc... Absolutely horrible
I wish it would allow me to show you my screen shot of customer service chat. The guy didn't even read my question. Said I didn't give him information and pretty much abruptly ended chat. Wednesday Night (10/11/17) I ordered food from a restaurant at 4:45 PM. I received a call from GrubHub at 5:45 (about 10 minutes after the original expected delivery time) and was told a driver had "accidentally" cleared the order, and that it was placed again, and I should receive my order by 6:15. I understand that accidents happen, so I didn't make a fuss about it.
However, 7:15 rolls around and I STILL do not have my food. I messaged them on their "online chat" and was told that someone was on their way with my food, and that it would be there shortly. I was also told that I'd be credited "$10". I waited until almost 8:00 and called again, only to be hung up. My driver FINALLY arrived at 8:25, and said she didn't even receive an alert of the order until 7:45. My pizza was ICE cold, and my salad was soggy.
I have never had an issue with them before this, but after waiting almost 4 HOURS for my food, I will not use them again. I am very disappointed in their lack of care or service.
The order never arrived... I spoke with the customer service representative and he gave me a promo code for the next order. I have never received my money back... very unprofessional service and unhelpful customer service... This was my first and last order. I do not even going to use the promo code, I don't want to find myself on the same situation why I am hungry... Uber Eats works much way better and customer service is excellent...
Hi as a driver let me be the first to say please tip your drivers 9 times out of 10 if you don't tip your drivers then we are delivering your food and we are paying to deliver it. We are the same as if we were waitresses. If you knew what a driver went through on a daily basis you would tip well too, I use the app myself as a customer and you best believe I tip my driver's 15%. Not all of us can afford brand new cars some of us are driving V8's... Have a blessed day and thannks for choosing grub hub!
I bought my grandson a 100 gift card for his 15th birthday. He went to apply it to his account grub hub locked his account and the same thing happened at Christmas. When you call them they are not helpful and care less that they stole your money. They are a terrible service and everyone needs to stop using them
We switched to door dash and their service is wonderful

In person $36.20, via Grubhub $64.40. You be the judge. Order direct. The cost of the items is higher on Grubhub's site than in the actual restaurant. Tax is added on top of not only the merchandise, but on the 15% Grubhub service fee as well. Than the delivery fee and still asking for 20-30% driver tip. In numbers, I placed the same order over Grubhub as I went to the restaurant 4 blocks from my house. In person I paid $36.20 total, Grubhub charged me $64.40. Spoke to the owner. Grubhub increases the price list on the menu, charges the owner for 15% (in addition to the consumer's charge), and the restaurant is responsible for the credit card authorization fee. The restaurant and it's workers lose. They don't get a penny tip. They pay for rent, produce, gas, electric, wages to stay open.
One night I ordered McDonald's from.a store thats a 9 minute drive away. It says 45 minutes. Then it said delayed to an hour and a half. Then I contact support and they give me 15% for a future order. The next day I try to use it at the same store and now my food is over 2.5 hours after 2 delays. And the only thing they are willing to do is give me another 15% off a future order, but out me on hold and forget about me for. Thats never happened in my life haha. This is far worse than UberEats and they are absolutely garbage when it comes to customer service. Doordash is superior. I will never order from this place again. Period.
After waiting two hours for a Taco Bell order, we finally received the order and absolutely everything was incorrect. We call customer service and we are told that we will receive a $10 refund for a $32 order, even though nothing was accurate and we waited 2 hours. Then we tried to ask for a supervisor and it took asking FIVE times for a transfer. The customer service representative just asked "why do you want to talk to a supervisor" I have absolutely never heard of this type of customer service and will never order from grub hub again
My gf and I have ordered on grubhub several times and the food has NEVER actually made it to our house, LOL. I'm laughing through hunger pains. Yeah they give us refunds but holy $#*!, after two hours of waiting it really sucks not to get your food.

Ordered food from Grubhub for the first time today... Says (Order will be ready from 9:20-9:30pm)...
So i start driving over there...
I get to my location, AND there's no store front location.
Every single thing on that block is closed...
So i call up GrubHub, and I ask.
Me- "Why did you send me to a location, and take my money... without knowing that the store does not exist?"
Guy- "Oh, well there is a location off of Franklin in Oakland."
Me- "Yeah, but you didn't send me to that location, you sent me to the one off of MacArthur in Oakland. Also I called them and they closed at 7 pm... I ordered my food at 8:45, why would it even go through if the business is closed? Please just refund my money, I will never use this service again."
Moral of the story: Don't use GrubHub if it completely and utterly sucks the first time you use it.
This was my first time ever ordering with grub hub and I will NEVER order again! My food never showed up! I called grub hub 3 times to get a ETA & when I was notified that my ordered was picked up from the restaurant it was never delivered to me. So I'm sure the driver just stole my food. Definitely would not recommend them to deliver your food!
Horrible customer service! I placed an order for a business meeting, as soon as I hit submit and the delivery time appeared, I tried to cancel the order as it would arrive after the meeting was over. As soon as I did, it popped a message saying they could not cancel as the restaurant had already started the order. BS! My cancellation attempt was made in less than a minute of hitting submit. I immediately reached out to customer service as was given the same BS as the automation. I always order from Uber Eats and ordered from Grubhub because of a special they had advertised on Facebook. Live and learn! Never again Grubhub!
Terrible! The delivery driver cancelled my order and told the restaurant that I cancelled the order. All because he didn't want to wait two minutes for the order to be ready. Started a chat w/Cust. Service. They gave me several lies blaming the restaurant. So the driver blames me, GrubHub blames the restaurant... unprofessional! Terrible!
After a long, hard day working. I placed my order for KFC around 7:30 pm. I tracked my order for a delivery time. It was scheduled for 8:20-8:30. That time came and went. The delivery was adjusted to 8:40-8:50 on the tracker. That time came and went too! I waited an additional 40 minutes. I called KFC and an employee said that the driver came and was told that they did not have part of the order. I did NOT get a call from anyone to update me about my order! KFC left it up to the GH driver to call. I was very irritated at that point. 2 hours after placing order. I called the GH customer care number. The rep spoke VERY broken something because it sure as hell WAS NOT English! I had to give my phone number and email address 6 times before he understood what I was saying. After all that waiting and frustration... no food and a refund that will that 5 days to get is absolutely ridiculous! Never again. I will stick with Door Dash or have restaurant deliver directly to me.
HORRIBLE... just another story of incompetence and inability to deliver on any level. I got a confirmation of my order and after 1 hour and 45 minutes I call the restaurant to find out that somehow their fax is broken so the order never came in? I call customer service who says it's in now and will be here in 40 minutes... i said i wont pay for it and they say the restaurant wont deliver for free... duh... THEY should cover it for failing to deliver (literally). I was offered a credit to use next time instead. Like that would EVER HAPPEN>
So my first use of grub hub was about 2 years ago and my food took over two hours to get to my location and the food was cold by then and not worth the money. So giving this food delivery site another chance about 4 months after the first time I ordered from Grub Hub I tried again. Once again it took forever to get food that arrived warm this time but since it took so long I did not give the driver a tip, and he was upset. So with me wanting to give this site a third chance I tried again a few months ago. And once again I was let down by very expensive prices to deliver food that shows up way late and barley warm. So Im officially done with Grub Hub, have them three chances and that was enough.
I ordered food on 3/31/22. The food was never delivered. I contacted Grub Hub who tried to call the driver to no avail. Initially they only wanted to issue me a partial refund. I refused. They told me they would cancel the order and give me a full refund. I received a text stating the refund had been processed. The refund was never credited to my card. I have been trying to get a refund for over 2 months and Grub Hub sends the same scripted text message every time "they've requested and processed a refund". Today I've spoken to two customer service people who told me I was never charged and when I tried to send a copy of my CC statement they hung up. These people are crooks!
Attempted to order Thai for lunch, Spring Rolls, Ckn. Pad Thai and Thai Tea roughly $20.00. When ordered on this joke of a delivery service the total came to $35 and change, 75% of my order added again as fees and tips... they default to a 20% tip for the driver, I will decide that depending on how the service is thanks. $3.99 for Delivery Fee, money grab for Grubjoke, and then when you open "Taxes and Fees" there is another delivery fee added on in addition to the tax of another $3 and some change. Even without a tip it was still $29... I opted to just go grab it and put a note on my door at work, took 7 mins and saved me $15.00. Keep it up Grubjoke and you will be gone before you know it, I sure hope anyway.
