Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.
I've used Grubhub for about 10 restaurants in Houston that were within 2-3 miles of my house. Food was cold every time. Ordered items were missing. Typical charge for delivery was about 10 dollars including tip. I tried contacting Grubhub but couldn't talk to anyone- they were to busy handling other problems. I've moved on to picking up orders; I get what I ordered and it's far less frustrating.
I'm only giving one star because I can't give zero! Yes I know this might have been a bank issue but was very frustrating customer service experience! I ordered and checked my bank account and the money was taken out! I was given an estimated time of an hour and 5 mins... no big deal since it's New York and football sunday I expected that! But after two hours and no food I called the restaurant and they claimed to have never gotten my order... but the money was taken out of my account. So I called grubhub to find out what was going on... and what I got was a very rude man on the other end! I checked my bank account well on the phone and it looks like they had put the money back in my account he then told me I must have a bank credit card! Excuse me! DO NOT ASSUME things! This took me over the edge! I went to the ATM and was able to take cash out no problem! Grubhub you suck!

I use Grubhub, doordash and carry out menu pretty regularly. Tonight I ordered from grubhub before 7:30, and I received a message that I would receive my order between 8:20-8:30. At 8:50 no food and order showed it was still being prepared. Tried calling grubhub and received a message that they had high call volume and to call the restaurant. The food had been sitting at the restaurant ready and no one had come to pick it up. While I was on hold for an operator at grubhub I received a text that my order would arrive between 9:50-10. Over 2 hours and cold food!? I complained, and received no explanation or apology. Completely unacceptable. Read the reviews and go elsewhere
No matter where I order from, it is wrong 9/10 times. I am always shocked when I actually get the correct items prepared correctly. Several times the driver has dropped off food without notifying me or knocking on door and it sat on my porch for until it got cold. I feel like I'm being scammed every time I order. I ordered KFC one time and they delivered only the sides because I'm pretty sure the driver ate my chicken! Ridiculous!
I placed the order at 7 pm on a Friday evening. Food was delivered to me at 10 30 pm. When I placed the order online, the estimated delivery time shown was 8:45 pm, even though before placing the order online, the website mentioned delivery time as 45 mins approx. But then I thought maybe its a Friday, that is why the rush! Anyways, I lost my patience when the clock hit 9 15 pm and these buggers didn't even have the courtesy to pick up my call. I kept calling them, left 3 detailed voice messages, but nobody responded back. I called the restaurant, they said the food was already prepared 1 hour ago and nobody was there from foodler to pick up my order, which means I got cold food. This is the very last time I will ever place an order through this website. This is HIGHLY unprofessional. At least have the courtesy to pick up calls, or inform the customers that the food will be delivered late. UNBELIEVABLE!
I don't know how GrubHub stays in business considering how often the screw up orders. This last time I ordered the driver went to the wrong address so they canceled my order because of a difference in "mileage." Hope the driver enjoyed eating my food! Completely ridiculous company with some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I've been treated better at the DMV.
I received a Grub Hub gift card after having surgery. I attempted to use the gift card purchased. When I went to access the gift card code two characters scratched off. I asked customer service and they told me they would expedite this but it would take 48 hours! Not helpful at all.
I've ordered from them twice and the first time I had to go pick up my own order and they still charged me for delivery! Even when you call customer service they are really rude! This is the second time I order today and once again something happened with my order stupid drivers I swear. They canceled my order like really? Can they ever do anything right?

Oh my gosh, even getting a practically free meal, I have a bad taste in my mouth. People, we should all just go to the restaurant and get pickup. Then the meal won't be wickedly marked up, no crazy service fees and the tip will go to the restaurant that is struggling.
4 time in a row driver couldn't figure out the 1000 building from the ******* building in my apartment complex. However, this time, he just marked "delivered" without delivering my food.
Grub hub would offer nothing to make this right. Apartments are not that complicated, if you can count the zeros. Done with this.
This is by far the WORST deliver service out there. My food has not once been remotely near on time! Not to mention my food is always cold and soggy! I can't even begin to tell you how rude and useless customer service is. I will not order delivery from Grubhub again!
Waited 2 hours still no food, called customer service they couldn't even get a hold of their own driver. Couldn't tell me when or if the food would get here. All they offered was 20% off my next order... WHAT?! Will never be a next order. I told them to cancel the order... which will take 5 to 10 business days! Stay clear of these folks!
This "third party relay setup" type ordering method is for the birds. Ordered from a local restaurant only a few blocks away from me, used a first-time discount code, and paid through Eat24 app; restaurant sends driver out with a slip showing I owed full price on my order, and had paid nothing. 5+minute comedy of errors ensues with us arguing at each other in the hallway... thankfully driver eventually took my word for it but come on. The driver and I shouldn't be resigned to dually fumbling with my smartphone in my hallway, to say how I paid for my food The restaurant should send the drivers out with the proper payment slip showing that payment actually has been made, via what payment method, and any discount code that applied to the order... this is basic. If a restaurant can't provide this functionality then they shouldn't be contracting with this service.
Well then, why would you want pro-Trump customers? You wouldn't want our "hateful" attitude dollars either. So lets not by hypocritical about it. You're not in business for business but to spread a socialist ideology. Brilliant liberal move.
I ordered for our office a little after 11:30 am. In five minutes, the delivery time had changed to 3:02 pm. $50 for two people for sandwiches from a place 10 minutes away. Called to cancel and what a surprise-couldn't. When the food came, it was very marginal and cold. SO never again, GrubHub. Don't do it.
This was my first order with GrubHub. I ordered early in the day to have a meal delivered to a friend whose husband is dying from cancer. Twice GrubHub confirmed the order. The driver confirmed they were at the restaurant picking up on time. Then I got a message from GrubHub saying the delivery would be late. Next I received a message that they were canceling my order. No reason, just that they had a problem. It would take 5 days to refund! When I called the restaurant to see what went wrong they said they never got the order. Pure waste of time and not worth trying again!
I placed an order they messed it up & only refunded $6 and wouldn't deliver the missing items. I relied on this meal since my car is being worked on for my children so my 3 children had to share one meal. This is not our first issue with Grubhub and it will be the last as we have all deleted the Grubhub apps from our phones and I will also let others know how much they are wasting their time and money by ordering from there. They do not care about their customers. The agents are helpful but obviously can only do so much. The people higher up should be ashamed of themselves considering how much money they have. I will never use Grubhub again, the food is always cold and all over the place.
First and last time on GrubHub. Late order, bad service from driver. I was outside in the freezing cold and she put my order as "delivered" 10min before she actually found me, after I had to call her.
GrubHub may have a great concept, delivery direct to your door from the restaurant of your liking, but they have a horrible overall platform for drivers. First, I was with the company just three days before going to, what they call, "driver care" for assistance. The representative on the other end of the phone was rude and malicisously didn't help me when I began questioning her reasons for being so rude. It was just a disaster of a call with no assistance for my situation.
Despite that issues, I decided to give the company another chance. What a mistake! They claim to pay a minimum hourly wage if your quota is not met. But, the underlining trick to that is that your acceptance rate has to be high enough to qualify. Well, that's really not possible when you're having to reject calls that are over 30 miles away from your current position. It's a trap!
This really is not a company, nor a platform I would encourage anyone to invest themselves in.
Waited 1.5 hours for food to be delivered and it never was. After contacting Grub Hub the food wasn't even on the way, so I had the order cancelled. I read some reviews that said delivery takes forever like up to two hours and still placed my order. Now I will take reviews more seriously. Don't waste your time folks.
There Customer Service is horrible. I know drivers don't have the ability to check orders because they are sealed. However, This should not be held against the customer when a item is missing. And this seems to happen alot. And Grub Hub will stop you if you get more then 2 refunds. Telling me that it has to be reviewed in 7 to 10 days and then they will let me know. We'll how about you call the restaurant ect very they forgot now.7- 10?Horrible customer service. Done with Grub Hub.

Totally unprofessional. I made an order that I waited longer than an hour and half for delivery. When I chatted with customer service the answer was that the order was received and it would be delivered any minute. I waited for about another 15 minutes, till 3:20 a. M, to contact the customer service again to cancel the order. Simply, the answer was "please wait to pull up your order" and no further action was taken whatsoever. Not even an apology. About 3:30 am the food arrived extremely cold and one sandwich was different than what I actually ordered. I took the food straight to the trash. Money was not the issue nor was it the very low quality food, it really was the manner in which the customer service handled my concern "total ignorance". I regret ordering through this website and I will better sleep hungry than ordering through it.
Ordered through GH. Order cancelled 38 minutes before delivery on a Friday night.
Reason: Not in delivery area. Spoke to restaurant, 4.4 miles away and they told me they had complained to GH not to include my zip for their restaurant. I know Dominos will be great, but nearly a hundred dollar order down the tube and they don't refund for three to five biz days. I won't use them again.
So tonight I put in an order for 2 ice creams. Now I get it. Doesn't sound big, but they charged me $15 bucks for a deliver for 1 ice cream all because there was a very small difference in an ingredient. One had strawberry boba and the other regular strawberries. The issue is they mixed them into a bigger one and when I called them out, they said it was my fault and not theirs. So submitted complaint with BBB and will never use them again.
Three times I've tried this service and three times I've been disappointed (in two different states so I can't blame the area that we're in). Twice my order has been so late that it was cold, soggy, and inedible and ultimately refunded by GrubHub. The restaurants have all be fine to work with (one actually called to let me know that the order had been waiting on the driver so long the kitchen decided to remake it) but the delivery drivers and the customer service staff are useless. I won't be giving them a fourth chance.
