“Customer help would not admit or acknowledge mistake”

Order was delivered 1 hour early. The order was for 2 people and $144. Customer help would not acknowledge and when I sent them the receipt that was proof of delivery time they said it was not attached on e mail properly whatever that means. Avoid GRUBHUB if possible.

I don't really order pick-up delivery service, but I'm feeling under the weather today and needed to feed my family. Chance was the driver. He delivered a riped bag, both seal labels was torned and he claim the restaurant did it. Stop lying and don't go into customers bag. I will never order with grubhub if these are the people they are hiring. I requested a refund and trashed the food.

I have been trying since March 18,2017 to use some of the balance of $189.19 on a gift card that was originally issued through EatOutIn. GrubHub bought EatOutIn. Finally on June 3,2017 after MANY emails plus 2+ hours on the phone today to a minimum of 5 people as each one had a different resolution, I was told that my gift card could only be used on the work.grubhub.com site for a minimum of $50. I live in a single family home, a single person and do not need that much food! And the person who finally helped wondered why because she was 'trying' to help that I was so aggravated! She did place the order for a total of $34.+, but I may have to go through the same process the next time I want to order something. I would prefer that they refund the balance of $154.74 left on the gift card, but highly doubt that they will. C. P. Griffith, Austin, TX

Tip for consumers:
Stick with the Customer Care and continue to call until your problem is resolved as the customer care personnel is not fully informed of all of the 'new' rules for a 'new' company based on the fact that the EatOutIn merge only works for a 'work' based order with a $50 and up minimum!!! This information was never indicated from the very beginning of my quest to place an order in March . I don't feel that this company is particularly customer oriented nor do they really care about the customers,

It never fails with Grubhub. They have poor drivers, they are either delivering the wrong food or not delivering at all. I have so many bad experiences with Grubhub, I had to just cut them loose. If you want reliable services please do not use GRUBHUB, you will be disappointed every time.

Yesterday placed order, restaurant called said they out of items I ordered. GrubHub called them to confirm and they said, oh no, its on it's way (Lied.) Grubhub finally confirmed and did issue refund. Next day, place order for KFC, order confirmed, driver calls from outside building telling me to come down and get it. Told him physically unable to, order stated that food was to be brought to apartment and left outside apartment door. Driver said "Too bad", you want it, you have to come down and get it! Once again, had to call Grubhub to issue refund.
Don't use Grubhub, waste of time.

I ordered Grubhub stone cold creamery. The driver got 2 orders and then delivered my order to the other house. Instead of making it right they just send me an email saying my order was canceled. This is the 5th time they have done this. I give them a negative 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Don't trust them. Don't use them.

Grubhub and Seamless are the same company. I use the site to look at menus but never order through them. Each item you order through Grubhub or Seamless can cost you an extra $1-$3. After looking at menu, I call the restaurant with my order. It took me a few orders before realizing this. I first call the restaurant with a question then proceeded to order while on the line. My food bill was much cheaper ordering the exact same items. Then did some research and notice on every restaurant, the menu not on Grubhub and menu from Grubhub price don't match. Free delivery, yeah right. Only when you call the restaurant directly.

My wife and I used GrubHub for ordering a dinner for a special occasion of ours. The food was late and cold and it was expensive. Sorry but I will avoid this service in the future and pick up our takeout ourselves. We simply do not have money to waste on second rate service and quality.

I've ordered from grub hub 3 times and 2 out of the three took over 90 minutes to get my food from a restaurant 10 minutes away. It wasn't the driver- he was sitting at the restaurant waiting! The third and FINAL time I used grub hub it took me over 2 hours to get a pizza! I could have gone to the grocery store, shopped, and made a pizza from scratch in less. Ridiculous!

The first time I tried Grubhub I ordered almost $40 worth of food and was delivered a tiny appetizer despite the receipt in the bag being correct, and was refunded only half the cost of my order. The drivers call my phone confused and lost every time, despite the detailed delivery instructions I provide on the website, like they haven't read it or don't know how to. Don't waste your money with Grubhub.

GrubHub is the worst. Ordered food from them, to find out an hour later that driver never made it on time and restaurant closed. Ok. No biggie. Just was trying to look for something else when restaurant called me that driver is finally there. Called GrubHub and begged them to please ask the driver to take that food and bring it to me. Driver never did. They said my order got cancel and driver have a right not to take it. So they gave me a "free" grub after this. Ok. Me after 2 hours of trying to eat-looking for something to spend that "free" code. But operantly their "free" is not free. Promo code only covers the food part but the taxes and delivery fee had to come from my packet. After everything I've been through last night-I just ordered Postmates. Finally ate my dinner 3 hours later. Never again. Grab hub can eat their "free" promo code. Disrespectful, awful customer service

I placed an order for delivery. This was to be delivered by Grubhub. I received confirmation of my order and it was said that it would take a hour for delivery. It was now past the delivery time and the food was still not here. I checked the status and the order said it was delivered 20 minutes prior. I called Grubhub and all they could tell me was sorry but here's a credit for your next order. As I myself work for a customer service based company I find this to be an unacceptable solution. Yes, you are gonna credit me but you KNOW who the driver was and Grubhub was not even interested in contacting the driver to see what the deal was. Maybe I should get a job for Grubhub where I get to drive around and take other people food and money without any repercussions. This negative review was more so directed towards Grubhub rather than KFC. But KFC needs to know what kind of company they are having deliver their food.

I'd give it a negative rating if I could. They're terrible. I waited over an hour and a half for my order. Mind you, Grub Hub texted me about 25 mins into my order and told me that my order was on the way. After another hour, I tried to contact Grub Hub via chat then via phone. No response via chat and after about 15 mins on hold, I hung up. I called the restaurant directly and they informed me that they did not receive my order. SO I wonder why they sent me a text saying my order was on the way. This site is pure crap. Take my advice -- go to Seamless, Eat24.com -- anything but the awful site.

Pressuring employees with your political beliefs is as fascist as it gets. I have seen a lot of decent and honest CEO letters asking employees to consider candidates as a result of improved business climate that was worded very tactfully and I am still appalled with those. The letter the CEO sent was just horrific. Just remember those of you excited about this type of behavior because you support this candidate that this could be you. You could be discriminated against for your beliefs and your job could be at stake. If I were employed by this empty soulless company I would immediately be moving and anyone with talent is insulting themselves at this point by being a part of it.

Your CEO is an embarrassment to this country and has victimized every employee that has worked hard to make the company what it is. You have ruined it overnight with your inability to control your opinion. At least we know.

On 10/16 my GrubHub driver delivered my food to the wrong location. I have been trying to get a refund for a month and GrubHub has not been helpful. They say the refund has been issued but it is not in my bank account. They asked me to call my bank and even my bank says the refund has not been issued. I have spent hundreds of dollars on GrubHub and this is it for me. I will use Uber Eats from now on. GrubHub is NOT helpful at all.

Order kept getting backed up 30 minutes (3 times) for arrival time. After and hour and 40 minutes I called the restaurant. They said the food has been waiting there for a driver. I told them to keep it there for me. I arrived to pick up the food and a driver still hadn't showed up and the restaurant was closing in two minutes. Uber eats is getting my money for now on. I would need the service fee refunded and free delivery for a month to even begin to think about using Grubhub again. They keep offering me one free delivery that I have to use within two days, as long as the food order is over $10 and delivery charge is less than $4, really? After I literally had to put on clothes and leave my house to pick up my own food which was cold and soggy and already debited from my bank account due to your negligence. Goodbye money grubbing hub

GrubHub is consistent in that nearly every time I use them, there is an issue that causes some degree of aggravation and a submission requiring a refund. It is as if GrubHub begs for customer DISsatisfication and the loss of money. This is a culture that starts at the upper levels of managment, namely the outrageous costs borne by restaurants to participate. Customers as usual get the worst of the deal. It all needs to change if want to keep customers like me.

This has honestly been the worst service I have ever had. I have ordered three times from Grubhub for kentufky fried and every time the order comes wrong I would not recommend this service for anyone. After calling and telling them that my order was totally wrong they told me I was out of luck would not locate my correct order this is bull $#*! excuse my language its not cheap for your service at least do your job right and if you cant close the. Business

Ordered through Grub Hub. Got confirmation of the order. Got confirmation order on the way, then for cancellation the exact time it was supposed to be delivered. This was for a work lunch and I had Tor run to get another order. Not cool. This was my first and last time using GrubHub

GrubHub is horrible. Way too expensive and took 2 hours to receive my food from a restaurant that was a 7 minute drive. I was quoted an hour to get the food- which still seemed like a long time, but since it was around lunch time, I tried to be understanding. 2 Hours later I received my food. No utensils and my soup was completely cold.

I have ordered many many times from them and I had to charge back one time because they never credited my account for an order I never got (I'm sure by mistake), so they banned me from ever ordering again. WTF? The woman at grub hub was so rude on the phone. Considering all the orders I have placed I was offended. I only charge back when I need to. Its not personal, but they made it personal. Never again. Worst customer service.

We placed an order for over $50. Within 10 minutes, we received a vague text saying the order was canceled. After finally calling and getting a rep from Grubhub, i was told the charge "would drop off within 24 hours". Never did. They gave us the run around for months. Never refunding $.

If I could give a zero I would. 23 days from when they SHIPPED the card and hung up on me four times without a call back. They also said they couldn't find the shipping number they gave me. Finally, when I did get a hold of someone they told me to wait 15 days from shipping. It was day 22 at the time. Terrible terrible company and customer service. I will never use again or recommend to anyone.

I am DONE with ordering through GrubHub.com. Every time I have ordered it has taken 1.5 - 2 hours for delivery. I could've gone and picked it up in more than half the time. You are not providing conveinence if you take so long AND charge $5 - $10 for delivery. Pull it together GrubHub

If I could give zero stars, I would. After an hour we still had not gotten food or heard from the driver. GrubHub customer service couldn't reach the driver. Restaurant closed, we had no food. The only positive is we were refunded. Never using this service again.

I am reviewing as a business owner of a restaurant. I make sure to check everyday order from Grubhub or Seamless. For some reason, if you add an item from the tablet to an order or a replacement for an item that is out of stock, they don't auto credit you but it's being charged to a customer. Now if I call them for the credit, they will only credit you with the item amount without the sales tax. So, I believe this is where they make more money from the customer's sales tax and the restaurant's as well. This has to be fixed. I hope you Restaurant owners are checking your daily report too. Sales tax is a little amount but if it builds up, that will be millions.
