Tried this product purely because of the insanity of paying five dollars to Gillette for a replacement blade - or buying a dozen of them at BJ's for not much of a discount. It's cheap to start; but the quality is missing. The first razor pulled (on my light beard) and left some cuts. It actually got better with further use; but still not a very close shave, and hard to maneuver in tight spaces (e.g. Around my nose). Blades begin to dull pretty darn quick, and the replacements are not as cheap. Buy a Shick Hydro throwaway pack, for a much better shave and longer-lasting blade, for not much additional cost. I am done trying to replace just the blade and not the whole razor with handle, for environmental (trash) reasons. It isn't worth the hassle.
I buy a subscription of fruit for my parents every year for Christmas and they love it. My mom says it's the best fruit they've ever gotten. She looks forward to the packages coming every month. She raves about the quality of the fruit.
Not only are the products very reasonably priced, compared to the Giants in Industry, they are of a higher quality consistently.
That leads to the best shave, time after time, in my life. And I have been shaving since I was 16 and I am now 66.

I have used Harry's razors for a number of years now. The price first drew me. But the performance sold me for good! I am a 71 year old woman and BY FAR Harry's is the best razor and blades I have ever purchased.
I bought this after hearing the hype on the YouTube saying it could even be used for legs (reason I bought it), sadly the results after shaving were EXTREMELY disappointing! The box came on time and of course the packaging looked nice and I was so excited to use this since it's supposed to be great for sensitive or dry skin. I followed all the tips and tricks that came on the pamphlet and unfortunately, the shave was not at all worth the price! The razor was harsh against my skin and barely cut the hair! There was still plenty of stubble and the shave gel it came with was extremely drying and somewhat burning, left me with some nice red, painful razor burn and lots of stubble. I would highly caution anyone before purchasing this, I'm very unhappy with the results and regret purchasing this completely.

Heard the ad on the radio for a free sample of the razor and other products so, I went to the website only to find out that in order to get the free samples, you must sign up for monthly shipments that are not free. So, if you want to have your razors shipped to you (for a fee) every month, this may be for you. Personally I would prefer to try the samples to see if I wanted to start a subscription for their products.
Sorry for any confusion here, Chuck. While you're right that the free trial does trigger an ongoing subscription that begins a few weeks later, you can modify or altogether cancel that subscription at any time (including before the first paid shipment ever goes out). So you're never locked into anything.
I have been with Harry's for quite awhile now and have been satisfied since day 1. Customer Service is excellent as are the products. Love the $5 mystery gifts. I have been turned on by the Shampoo/Conditioner and the bar soap through the mystery gift program.
No need to go out to the store, these blades are deliver directly to my mail. And the price is awesome compare to other brands. Quality of the blades is great, and they include the extra trimmer blade, so hard to get from other blades.
Will highly recommend.
I have been enjoying the shave experience for over the last 2 years and consider it and excellent choice for men's shaving. The post shave cream is fantastic - very cool and refreshing. I highly recommend using this shaving product.
The shave creme makes for the smoothest shave you will ever have. Most make the mistake of using the thick creme without water and it is a mess. Put several small dots of the creme on your face then wet your hand and rub the dot around until it thins a bit and your beard is standing up. Make sure you have a good razor blade and have the best shave ever. No dragging, no irritation, and a smooth face afterward. PERFECTION in a tube!
Like a lot of other reviewers I was really excited to try Harry's. Walmart now carries Harry's shave products, and the price is really good. The razor is very dull, the first shave felt like the last shave that I get from my current razor. From now on I'll stick with Gillette, or Dorco (which is what Dollar Shave Club uses).

Very good products for a great price. The only issue I have had is during the last order I had to change to my updated credit card. I had changed my order to add one more shave cream and I guess with the card update the computer defaulted to the original order. Other than that Harry's is fantastic.

Original Harry's razors were great, but the new razors pull much more from the first use. I've used Harry's razors for more than a year and was very satisfied. But both times I've started using the new blades it pulled much more than the old ones did even after weeks of use.
Only reason we can think of this happening is that our new cartridges use a different rubber for the flex hinge. It's more flexible than the old rubber, so the cartridge is going to pivot a little bit differently than you were used to (the blades themselves are identical). We hope you'll stick with it a bit longer because once you readjust to the new pivoting motion we imagine you'll get that same great shave you used to get with us.
I was quite excited to get started with Harry's and liberated from Gillette-slavery. I noticed right away that the Harry's blades did not seem as sharp as Gillette's, with more tugging on my skin while shaving and not as close a shave. Oh well, I thought, it's worth it to save some money. But as it turns out, I get a lot more shaves from my Gillette Trac-3 blade than from a Harry's blade, so it doesn't even save me money. I'm sure this all would vary depending on one's skin, but for me, I wouldn't recommend the product.

I did a reorder of my Harry's Body wash and was offered a mystery gift box at check out. I decided to take them up on the offer.
My mystery gift was Harry's Face Wash. I tried it out this morning in the shower. It gave me a really deep clean with the Gently Exfoliates formula and Peppermint. It left my skin smooth, soft and very clean. I will be ordering more when I start running low. Good Stuff!
I live the razors and convenience of getting the razors at home. The shave is ok except for under your nose and chin. I think this has to do more with design and lack of flexibility of razor head than with the razor. The razors last a long time (longer than "normal" razors).
I've been a Harry's client for several years. They are the BEST on-line product provider. Their products are the best I've ever used. I now get the most comfortable closest shave I've ever had in my life. And their product ships when scheduled, but only after they send an email notifying of the pending delivery. They are superb. I'm 54 years old and have been shaving since about age 16 I tried every newfangled razor Gadget coming and going and I tried Harry's with the same skepticism. But let me say this is by far and away the best razor I've ever used. I think I've been a member now a little over a year and I cannot recommend Harry's and the service highly enough.

Answer: Great question, Tony! Blade lifespan will definitely vary a bit based on your particular hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. While there's no exact standard for how long a cartridge will last you, we find that the average person likes to replace blades every 6-8 shaves. The idea is that our blades are durable and will last a long time, at a great price.
Answer: The new blades are not as smooth as the old ones and you cannot buy the old ones anymore.

Answer: I had a problem with that when I first got them and found out that I wasn't pusing them on the handle far enough. Also if you hold too close to the blade and choke up on the handle too much your fingers tend to push the blades off. When I held back further on the handles... no worries. Since I changed those two things, I don't have that problem.
Answer: Because when they changed the design of the blade by adding the trimmer, the blade lost its smooth shaving quality, life of the blade and no burn feeling. Now it burns after the shave, blade does not last that long and all you are left with is a cheap blade. If they bring back there 1st generation blades back, I will be the first one to buy them and give back my business to Harry's for LIFE!

A lot of guys tells us it just can take a few shaves to adjust to the new system, because the blades are set at a slightly different angle. Playing around with the angle you hold the razor at, as well as the amount of pressure you apply while shaving, should both work to improve the shave immensely, so we hope you'll give it a few more tries! Of course, no hard feelings if not. You've got to do what you've got to do!
