Don't bother. No service dog, first responder, or other considerations. Staff is borderline rude and basically you get so much more elsewhere. Try universal microchipping service. Super good.
Since I started with this company it was one problem after another, I only registered my dog because the shelter put the chip and used them, at the end of the 3 free months I called to enroll, immediately they charge my account with a product that I did not order, had to call to reverse, then they use my dog wrong name, finally I renewed for a year and three weeks after they are sending me emails telling me to renew, I replied the email few times, no response from them, called a couple of times they left me on hold, finally today this woman answers very unprofessionally and she can't find my payment, three weeks after I paid they did not registered the payment, I cannot imagen what will happen if I need their service, OMG... this is not a good company at all!
Nobody works here, not even sure it's a legit company. NOBODY answers the phone, NOBODY calls you back, NOBODY answers your emails, you have no idea if your pet Is even registered. DO NOT REGISTER YOUR PET. If you don't believe me, just call them
I logged in to renew my dog's registration and they had someone else's credit card info attached to me. Lord knows where my credit card info was attached.
DO NOT PAY FOR THIS SERVICE! THINK ABOUT IT.
Before buying, please ask yourself: what exact product or service is HOME AGAIN promising to provide you? A 1-800 phone number to call if your pet was run over by a car (to tell you where the nearest pet hospital is) and they also provide spam coupon emails to your email inbox.
Your pet's microchip will alwas be scanned if he ends up at a shelter. That will not change!
If the animal shelter / human society feels like calling you to tell you that your pet is there, they will. NOTHING will force them to contact you. Whether you PAY a monthly fee or NOT. The odds are the same: THEY WONT CALL YOU OR EMAIL YOU. It is up to the animal shelter to contact you, not HOME AGAIN.
I can't register my pet's numbers. The site says they don't exist. I can't get them on the phone either it's just a constant endless hold...I wonder if I wasted my money chipping my two cats...
I do not recommend this service as they have taken out my renewal fees and an extra 19.99 on the same day and no one can tell me why. I have called twice and they still have not refunded my money.
In 2018, my credit card information was fraudulently used to attempt to purchase video games with a Florida shipping address three days after I renewed my membership using the paper application supplied by my veterinarian. The credit card company recognized a difference in the Florida shipping and billing address and a out-of-character purchase, so canceled the transaction after calling me. (HomeAgain is located in Florida.) In 2019, my credit card information was stolen and used in three retail stores in Georgia and Florida. These transactions went through. After an investigation, my bank found the charges to be fraudulent. The issue was finally resolved nine months later.
It is my impression that HomeAgain, rather than devoting any effort to rooting out bad actors from their remittance department, is content to shrug and let the customer and bank battle through the fraud. (In one small act of good customer service, a supervisor did ask the last four digits of my credit card ostensibly to follow up.)
My strong recommendation is to send a money order, rather than to use a credit card or check to purchase membership.
When my cat did go missing, the missing poster HomeAgain sent was useless. Although a photo of my cat was on file, it was omitted from the poster. (My cat returned eventually several months later.)
My second strong recommendation is to bring the abysmal service of this company to the attention of your veterinarian.
How is it a service division of a multi-national pharmaceutical company can continually receive shockingly low ratings and still function without any attempt at improvement?
Horrible customer service. Do not trust them to find your pet but know they will double bill you and never answer their phone. Leaving messages is fruitless as well.
This was the vet's choice of chip registration not my own, and I jave been completely unable to register my pet's chip. Based on other reviews this seems to be the norm for this company.
Answer: Scam. They have no service. The don't answer calls or have an interaction web site.
Answer: Not. You will never get customer service whether over the phone or on line
Answer: I didn't choose Homeagain. It was pushed by the Banfield veterinarian hospital.
