I was having a lot of issues with Indeed originally, I couldn't get them to respond after taking down a very critical hiring ad we had up. It seems like an algorithm just flagged our account and took it down. But after talking with the Indeed support team on here, they got my ads back up (just in time) and even gave me a free sponsor on our most important one. Thank you Indeed support team, I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me - I knew when humans looked at it, they would know we were legit. Thank you again everyone at Indeed Support!
Ive been trying to post a add to hire employees but Indeeds awful trust and safety team continue to refuse me and pause account even adding three forms of utility bills etc...just awful. AND there is NO customer service or accountability or followup or supervisors to speak with They have lost my confidence and business and I will never promote them. I prefer a lesser competitor as opposed to indeed. Worst experience I have ever had online
Another inconsiderate site that draws people into wasting time creating accounts/posts, then deletes the post AND the account with 0 warning and no specific reasons. They allowed 1 appeal, which denied me. My asking what the problem/solution was resulted in vague "no further info will be given" type of lines that seem to be mostly automated.
UPDATE: They emailed here about their policy & after i gave into their picky document demands, they still deny my posts AND gimme the same vague/robotic lines. They probably only acted helpful by emailing here cause my bad review here is being seen by many. In my regular email, 1 of their useless replies said to call, & they were closed.
Trustpilot users say Indeed bans all non-paying users so they call in and are pitched a paying version. So indeed can indeed enjoy the bad reviews, & karma, they earn from this. This kinda stuff helped greatly hurt sites like ebay.

The new pay-per-applicant is complete crap. If you so much as click on the person (to see if they are a decent applicant) you're charged a fee (close to $100) per person. So, you pay for unscreened and completely aloof applicants. You also might pay for someone who has zero background for your position but applied anyway. One applicant I got was my top pick until I uncovered she was a FELON with an extensive background of stealing from her employers. One guy showed up for his first two interviews, then ghosted us. Another woman did the initial interview, was excited to come back, and cost us time and MORE money by ghosting us again. Indeed is a great place to waste money and lose faith in the human race. I don't care where you find employees, DON'T do it here.
Tip for consumers:
don't do it

Hi Ashley, we're sorry to hear about your candidate experience. Please keep in mind that Indeed is not able to control candidate behavior and we cannot control candidates not showing up to interviews. We would be happy to pass along your feedback about that! Also, with our new pricing cost per application model, users do have more control over your quality and spending because Indeed lets users review applications before they're charged, giving users the final say on which applications they pay for. Users can also reject candidates within 48 hours of their application to avoid charges. After this period, will users be charged for the candidate, if not rejected. To confirm, employers do not get charged by clicking on candidates who applied. If you wish to sponsor the post using a daily/ monthly budget, you can select the "classic model" or "Switch to old model" option that is displayed when going through the job posting funnel. If you ever need assistance in the future, feel free to reach out at sitejabber@indeed.com.
Indeed have suddenly disabled my account without warning when there are 2 live jobs running. Used them before and no reason for this action. Totally unprofessional and unreasonable but they are very happy to take my money even if the service isn't being delivered!

Hi Anne! We are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed and we have sent you a private message to further assist.
Was looking for a retail job. I got so many job postings that I'm not interested in nor qualified for. Nursing jobs is one example. Medical reception jobs another one with minimum of 1 year experience required. Nowhere on my resume was this listed. Very bad also about using one's zip code and distances. Also, two few job notifications have postings of salaries, where the location is, etc. Good luck if you use them.

Impossible to post a job as they just disable your account. Nothing bad with our offer, fully professionally written, great rate of pay and a fantastic opportunity for someone but it seems indeed only allow agencies, Amazon or fake job postings on their account.

Lets get real please stop having bots review our appeals and accounts or last let us talk to customer services so we can see why you chose to single out people that followed your posting rules?
Tip for consumers:

Hi Anthony, we are very sorry to hear about your experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message with further details.
We are a newly opened e-commerce company trying to hire staff, Indeed keeps disabling my employer account and providing NO explanation as to why. Like many other low rating reviewers, we didn't even do anything, the account was been disabled. And this is their final decision.
Date of experience: November 26, 2021
Hi there, please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we highly suggest utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
For some unknown reason our Indeed account was disabled. When I inquired via their web site, I received an email response which stated that my account was suspended and that further appeals for this suspension will not be considered or responded too. Signed by someone named "Indeed Compliance." I have no idea why and they never contacted us for additional information. This is pretty poor customer service. We have a few jobs opening up in the coming months. Too bad for Indeed. Good for Zip Recruiter.

Hello David, we're sorry for the negative experience with Indeed. Unfortunately, after further investigation into your account, we were not able to clear your positions for visibility on Indeed. To protect the integrity of the site and our quality procedures, we're unable to share the reasons behind this decision. Indeed retains the right to undertake the removal of any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. For additional information, please reference our guidelines: http://www.indeed.com/hire/job-posting-guidelines. Thank you.
For the month of April we received 50 responses at a cost of $500 dollars. After contacting these people not one ever called or came to an interview. If your looking for help try Craigslist. You will most likely have a much better response. They also have no explanation any where on there website as to why it cost so much.

Hi Richard, we're sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience using Indeed to hire so far. When you create a job on your Indeed account, you are prompted to enter the amount that you would like to pay for your job on a daily or monthly basis. Once your job is live, you can then monitor the spend and view the performance within your account. If you are still hiring, we'd be happy to show you how to navigate this report, and would be happy to offer job description/ job title tips to help attract the candidates that you are looking for. We would also be happy to offer you a credit towards future sponsored job clicks. If you'd be interested in this, please feel free to message us via SiteJabber so that we can assist you further. Thank you.
I sent my resume but receive no calls. Search for reviews. Found comments like "this company is rubbish".
One more thing, they sold my email, phone number to other entities...
One word... predators...

Update #2: after changing my rating to a favorable one, they disabled my account again. Absolutely ridiculous.
Update: after posting the review, Indeed reached out and fixed my account.
As many others have said, my account got disabled before I could even post a job. I recently started my own business and needed to hire someone. They asked me for some documentation, I sent it in then got the response "It appears that your request may require specialized attention and our Client Success team can better assist you. Please view our Help Center for further assistance with this issue." I've reached out several times since then and NOTHING! No help whatsoever. Do yourself a favor and use literally any other site than Indeed.

Do yourself a favor and don’t use Indeed.

Dear
Our account was working perfectly and suddenly they disabled it after posting job positions. We reached out to Indeed but Indeed did not respond. Lack of human service reflects very badly on them and is a chance to leave the career website. We need customer service to communicate with us and reach out so we can solve any problems. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Hi Mehran, thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. Indeed does have a cost per application sponsored job model where employers have the ability to choose for themselves how much they would like to spend per application. Employers can adjust the number of applications they want to receive and Indeed will pause the job once it reaches the number of applications that were purchased. CPA jobs can be paused or closed at any time, and employers will only be charged for the amount of applications they received. In addition, this model offers Deal Breakers. When hiring for a job that requires more qualifications, employers can use Indeed Questions to communicate must-have requirements to job seekers. When it is indicated that a question is a deal breaker, employers will only be charged for applications that meet the deal breaker question criteria. Also, Indeed does not have the ability to post jobs, that is only available to account holders. If you ever need additional assistance in the future, feel free to reach out at sitejabber@indeed.com. Thank you.
Indeed has been great to us till they decided to block our account miss taking us for another company in the middle of our busy season, customer service is horrible and pretty much useless. No one knows why we have been blocked we were given different information from everyone we spoke with. How can a company with such drastic impact on peoples business just do as they please with no warning. I even dealt with the account executives who compliment my adds, only to be blocked months later.

Reason almost the same as others reviewers, indeed claim to posting job FREE but now disabled our account for no reason, have been trying to dealt with several candidates for couple of mailing conversation, and now all lose contact. Such a wasting time platform, very disappointing on the service, 0 out of 10!

Hi Jason, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Jobs that do not meet Indeed standards may be subject to review and require additional information from the hiring company. Listings that prove misleading, compromise the job seeker experience or those which we are not convinced represent a “real” job may be removed from search results altogether. Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. We recommend viewing our Job Posting Guidelines here: https://indeed.force.com/employerSupport1/s/article/115005915763?language=en_US
Indeed is not a site where you would want to go to advertise your job openings!
We are new, small recruiting agency, just starting after the covid period with hopes of going back to work. However, after couple of hours spent filling up the details on indeed.com for our job openings, and adding the payment details, our account was disabled! No reason given, just a cold shoulder!
We've appealed but again no explanation, only automated reply! We've received automated rejection on appeal few minutes after appealing! Also, looking through the reviews of other people in here we can see their replies are same for everyone. So, we are sure, no human reviewed our job posting, no time given, no explanation!
Maybe we were rejected because we didn't take their suggestion on daily payments for our job post, but instead we've reduced it to what is affordable for us. If that is the case indeed.com is a money grabbing site not interested in your business.
Indeed should be 0 stars!

Hi Anthony! We have reached out via a private message, please respond back there at your earliest convenience. Thank you!
When I enter a search criteria for Education Policy it would give me things like warehouse worker. I can never get anything actually relevant to what I am searching for. Even if I click the suggestions on the left that are provided, it returns completely irrelevant jobs. Don't waste your time or money.

Hi Kasey, we have responded to your review by private message. Please follow up there if you have any additional questions or concerns.
These people are sick and obviously have some kind agreement with certain companies. I and 4 colleagues became suspicious if this when we unveiled that at one or more times in our careers Indeed totally ignored, ie DID NOT POST reviews we'd submitted.
Who are they protecting?
Certainly not employment seekers.
If they had a grain of integrity they'd simply reject reviews instead of collecting them and only doing God knows what with them. Days weeks months and several of our reviews have been ingested by Indeed.
D***s!

Hi there, we have responded to your review by private message. Please follow up there if you have any additional questions or concerns.
I used indeed for several of my companies for about 7 years. I've spent tens of thousands per year with them.
And then without consultation they shut down two of my company accounts because "a job seeker complained" - who is/are clearly disgruntled, dismissed staff.
As you'll see below, this sort of thing happens to lots of employers.
They don't consult with the employer beforehand to verify their decision, have no appeals process and don't tell you anything about the complaint and thus give you no mechanism to fix their mistake.
Do not link your recruitment strategy to them. They will disrupt and harm your business

Hi Paul, our team has concluded that we will not be able to show your openings. If you have urgent hiring needs, feel free to utilize other hiring services!
I am a new business and had our account disabled after a few days. Told me to submit documentation such as a utility bill. Which I did immediately. They responded that wasn't good enough and my appeal was denied. Asked them what they were questioning, the business, my role or the position. The reply is they could do nothing to help me further and to reach out to customer service with no contact info... I personally don't want to give a company hundreds of dollars and receive unsolicited emails for a job I am apparently just making up. What a crock... but what else are you suppose to do no one looks anywhere else.
So frustrating.
Tip for consumers:
Try and find a better recruiting site

Hi Amanda, we have reached out via private message!
I am an employer. Subscribed to Indeed to fill 2 spots. Got plenty of qualified applicants, but when interview day came, my "links" to their resumes were inactivated. Had to go into 15 interviews blind. TERRIBLE service.

Hi Steven, we have responded to your review via private message. Thank you!
Out of the blue my company account has been disabled without any warning or reasoning. I have tried to contact customer service but they were unable or unwilling to assist me. I have hired many employees off of indeed within the last two years with sponsored job postings as well. To have this done at a critical time where I need to hire additional delivery drivers is completely disappointing. I am a private contractor for FedEx Ground, many of us use or used indeed but it looks like that will have to change.

It's been weeks of contacting support, client success and other attempts of reaching out to Indeed.
My issue is they are not verifying my newly registered business as a Remote Freelance Recruiter
I provided everything I needed to provide only to be told to "Please view our help center" like that is going to work.
Very terrible service, me and a few other business going through the same struggle think its time for a media release on why INDEED should be boycotted
1. Many jobs on indeed are spam
2. Unreliable service
3. Lazy employees
4. No helpful feedback
Tip for consumers:
Use Zip Recruiter and Monster instead

Hi Jordan, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
This company randomly charges you money whenever they want with no real responses. I set up an ad with a specific end date. My ad was no longer available after my week long campaign but the company ended up charging me for two months and I never received one qualified candidate from their site. I have never written a review for something before but this experience and losing out on $150 has compelled me to do so. If it will stop at least 1 person from using their bs site then it will be worth my time.

Hello Ben, we're sorry to hear that you've had a poor experience using Indeed. We'd like to help make this right. Please email us directly at sitejabber@indeed.com so that we can review what went wrong here and work with you to fix it. Thank you.
Indeed will shut your account down without warning and without an explanation. Our account was shut down after a year of doing business with indeed. They will not tell us why or what we've done to be cut off. My company has paid LOTS of money to advertise on their site.
In the year of advertising with indeed we have put THOUSANDS of people to work. Its ashamed that this company doesn't care about people who really need decent paying labor jobs ($12.00-$14.000) per hour.
Oh yeah, it might be that our company had a bad review... But I see that indeed has a lot more bad reviews than my company did.
